Hi Guys,
Do you know if the differences in frequency bands between the different variants of the XT2013 -1, -2 -3 -4 are due to the firmware or the hardware itself ?

Does anyone know the difference between these models and the international version?
Also what is the bandwidth of these model and will it support 4G in UK.

I would also like to know the answer to this question and/or more details regarding these different versions. I have the SHV-E250L version of the Note 2 which means, the South Korean Samsung Note 2 from LG U+ carrier. Is there an International version of this phone as well? Are the s, k & l versions unlocked and able to be used in other countries? I am an expat from the USA and will likely be returning in June and would like to take this phone with me and use it there. Is that possible?
Is anyone can answer this question please I am thinking to buy Note2 on Friday. However, Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE SHV-E250 (SHV-E250S / SHV-E250K / SHV-E250L) seems differ from the 3G version. Should it be classify as another device but not Galaxy Note II?
Thank you.
Help~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:crying::crying::crying:
I'm use E210s in Hong Kong CSL, s version is 850MHz and 1800MHz LTE band, can fully support CSL 1800MHz, voice call is automatic switch to 2/3G, The 4G baseband ic is use Qualcomm
The SHV-e250l/k/s is carrier dependent for South Korea. The international version is the N7100. I don't know what the US models are.
You should be able to use 3g around the world (roaming charges incurred or use a local SIM). You will most likely not be able to use the LTE as most regions use different bands.

For the SGS3 they had 4 models in Korea. An unlocked 3G only model, and a S/K/L model for each of the carriers. I don't know if they are doing the same for the Note2. I wasn't aware of a 3G only model.
Compare ( n7100) and (shv-e250s) wanteed
can any one explain whats the difference between
n7100 and SHV-E250S please im looking for note2 64g or 32g and i only found Korea version (SHV-E250S) i want use it in Middle East JORDAN so its Work normaly ANY ONE CAN COMPARE PLEASE
thank you in advance
N7100 and SHV-E250S/K/L has the same dimensions but Korean version can support GSM 850/900/1800/1900, it has build in DMB, internal 32gb, LTE, and you'll get extra battery in the box :good:
Could someone please compare benchmark results between the N7100 and SHV-E250S? Is the hardware identical apart from LTE radio? Could those who have the Korean version report their benchmark scores?
Thanks.

May be other members can start to report their LTE Note II (Samsung Galaxy Note II LTE SHV-E250 (SHV-E250S / SHV-E250K / SHV-E250L)) 4G experience in the rest of the world.
Someone reported it works in Hong Kong.

for now, can not flash n7100 stock ROM or any custom rom base on N7100 into SHV-E250s/k/l
because of the difference of base and Kernel.

DMB = Digital Media Broadcasts and should be related to a TV tuner, not sure about radio. I don't know though wherever else than Korea it is usable. May report when I get mine...

hello,
I have Tmobile Galaxy Note 3 and would like to know if there is a way to enable carrier aggregation?
I really need this feature because I am headed to South Korea and Australia for 3 months on my research business trip. All carriers in those countries use Carrier Aggregation and in order to have service, I would need a device with carrier aggregation. I don't want to purchase another phone cause my phone is working fine.
Also, I have checked with the major carriers in those use bands compatible with my phone. I also know that Note 3 has snapdragon 800 3rd generation gobi LTE modem that supports this. So is there a way to enable that feature?
Anyone?
There is a way. I have a T-Mobile Note 3 and I've done it, though T-Mobile doesn't use CA yet, so I have no way to test it. Also, just so you know, Carrier Aggregation cannot combine any 2 LTE frequencies; it's specific pairs, like Band 2 and Band 17.
Anyways, my instructions are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=57178013&postcount=80

Thank you so much! I will look into it. T-Mobile does have carrier aggregation in Dallas, TX and Atlanta,GA, binding band 2 and band 4.
Just a minor change btw, you have to choose REL 10 if you didn't. It's actually not optional. Let me know if it works, because there's no CA here in NYC
The way to check if it's working is if you dial the same dialer code after that and go to Basic Information -> As Information.
If you see "CA Enabled but Not Configured", it means it's turned on on the phone, but not the towers you're connected to. If you see "CA Setting Wrong", do the steps over and turn on LTE REL 10. Otherwise, if it's on and working, you should see two frequencies listed. There are pictures on the next page in that thread showing what it looks like.

Can you post a screenshot of the AS Information screen just to make sure?

It's not letting me attach the screenshot because I am a new user and need to be a member for at least a week. Optus 4G Australia is my carrier currently.
But it says:

Band 3 (15mhz)

R0 RSRP: -87, RSRQ: -7

AtReCo: 3, TaAtCo: 0 DeAtCo: 1.4rev99
Speedtest: 132mbps down and 39mbps up. Thanks again.

Holy crap! It works! That's awesome! That's Band 1800 (Band 3) and Band 700 MHz (Band 17). Sorry, I just have one last question (I promise). This is 100% the SM-900T (T-Mobile US model?). What modem/baseband (Settings -> About Phone)?

unfortunately not possible. by the way which country you are using in. and which SKU... and which frequency band you want to get?
by changing SKU and installing firmware for different SKU you can change band but other bands may become unavailable
Hello guys
i got the OP3 A3000. i got mine from the official website and its the American version.
ilive in Israel, and there for my device wont have a LTE band #3 like the European versions come with.
my question is, if ill install a Euro rom..would it include the missing LTE band?
* is the anyway other way to pass this issue or installing the missing band ?
thanks in advance.
Eli
Nope. The bands are defined outside of the rom, I'd assume in the modem configuration.

is there anyway that i can install or activate that band on my phone ?
Unless you have the encryption keys to program the baseband...
There's a thread here where people have been trying to change bands without success.
My friend you should check if the phone has the band you need before you buy the phone.
A3000 model it's also for China region.
tl;dr - bands can't be changed

According to official Mi Max 3 website:
LTE band support: B1, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B20
I just bought a Global version model: M1804E4A:
The user guide indicates band support: 1/3/7/8/20/34/38/40 (Bands 4 & 5 are missing !!??)
WIthout Bands 4 & 5 - I'm guessing I can't get onto AT&T and TMobile ?
Does anyone know if there is a code dialler to check what LTE band is being supported by Mi Max 3 ?
For folks using mi max 3 in USA successfully - may I know what is your model number?
I see 3 model variants on various websites: M1804E4A , M1804E4C, M1804E4T - anyone knows what the differences are?
Thanks !!
Screenshot from same global model. All those listed online are supported. Looks like they copied user guide from Mi Max 1/2 to save money...
For model #s nobody knows and until we start collecting data nobody will know for sure. My guess would be China 4GB and 6GB RAM, and Global. Second guess - diffident hardware variants regarding display and touchscreen, 2 each in kernel -> 4 possible configurations...
Wow thanks for your reply, how do you you get your phone to display the LTE bands? Is it difficult to do? Thanks
