Hello All, Ive not been here for a long time as my android devices have been behaving themselves, my missis has a very old S5 that is at deaths door, she is very fond of the phone and dont really want to change it but that time has come.
A very good friend has sent us over from the UK a EE branded S9+ as he's just upgraded to a S20, is there anyway to debrand and unlock this S9+, I remember doing my HTC many many years ago with help from you guys on this forum
Thanks in advance

You guys! You're brilliant! A year ago you helped me to unlock my MDA II Compact in a trice. It died recently so I sent it back to T-mobile UK who sent me a brand new one. Bless their hearts. But the security has changed A LOT since the last one. I tried loki 3 and 3b with no luck, so actually paid the imei people to unlock it. Cheaper than a new Charmer, right?
BUT, now I've spent money on the thing, I want it to connect to the internet in France, where I spend a lot of time. But I can't override the T-mobile settings to let SFR do their funky thing! And my French isn't that good. And let me tell you, Babel Fish isn't all it's cracked up to be!
I think the best thing I can do is wipe all trace of T-mobile. Use my virgin phone to connect to SFR, and suffer the consequences when I return to Blighty. Can you help me, with simple duffer explanations of how to do this. You see, my Charmer is pink.
Loving you to bits in advance,
PINK MDA
Hi guys,
I am due to get the Note II tomorrow on the Irish carrier Vodafone. I'm travelling to the USA next week for a month and so I will need it unlocked. Is there an app or similar way to carrier unlock it like there is with the Samsung Galaxy S III? I will go down the route of paying for the unlock code if necessary but I would rather not as the Note II itself is costing me €450!!
Cheers,
M
I'm on vodafone in the UK. It came factory unlocked.
Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 through the Space Time Continuum
mine came unlocked from carphone warehouse. Let us know if it comes unlocked or locked.
I will indeed guys I truly am hoping against hope mine will be unlocked as well as that would be so handy! Have any of you flashed a stock UK ROM after rooting as I hate all the useless bloat Vodafone put on their devices!!
Cheers,
M
Edit: It arrived early guys and it's locked So what are my options?? Really am disappointed!!
Update: Called Vodafone and they gave me the unlock code Have you guys noticed on auto brightness the setting seems just a little bit too dim??

hi guys i have verizon in usa and am looking to buy a s22 that i can root. What version do i need to look for to avoid running into issues? The reason why im asking is i bought a s8+ 4 years ago but apparently there were many different versions and the one i got was a complete PITA to customize. thanks!
-Verizon -ATT.
Safest bet is unlocked directly from Samsung.
S22+ (Thank me later).

You can't root any of the NA versions.
I bought the SM-901E[/DS], it's a snapdragon variant, root able but does not work on CDMA carriers in the US
