OP, thank you for all your dedication, work and contributions on the Moti G7 Play CHANNEL. It's great to see all these new (non-GSI) custom ROMs rolling out. It's splendid. And to any device owners enjoying the OP's hard work on these great custom ROMs, hit that THANKS button and, if possible, give a donation to help support the dev, even if it's small. I'm no dev myself, but I do know that devs work hard on these ROMs and every little bit helps out.
Thank you so much @00p513 for you dedication and hard work. I installed this in my XT1952-2 yesterday and its working superb.

I installed CrDroid 3 days ago and I experienced loss of color after 1 day of operation. I tried restarting but the problem persisted. I reinstalled it again via ADB yesterday, and today i lost colors once, but it went away after restart. After my second installation i didn't turn dark mode on.
any body experiencing this problem?

We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:

2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ

is anyone else having trouble with Gboard themes on this ROM? If I pick a gradient theme it just hangs and crashes.
I flashed this with Mini gapps first and had a hard time getting through setup, tried again with pico with more success.

Leave out the "Flash TWRP" part and replace "reboot to recovery" with "reboot to bootloader and boot the twrp image"
Not judging but simply confused...
I see people not wanting to install twrp and it just makes no sense to me why I would want to limit my options and functionality.
It's been like almost a year since twrp had been totally stable for me with no decryption or touch issues.
Again, what is it folks are afraid of??
I'm digging how clean and fast this ROM is. Hopefully you get your server issues resolved soon.
Trying this out again! Carbon was the first ROM I've ever used on my Pixel 2 XL and absolutely loved the experience.

So do I... We already have a new host because we're fed up with the old one. Currently waiting for the old one to finally answer our support ticket and bring the server back on so we can move our data to the new server and can call it a day with the old host.
Has anyone tried installing NanoDroid with this?
I went from factory image -> flash rom -> flash twrp -> reboot recovery -> flash magisk -> flash full nanodroid.zip
This leads to a bootloop until it boots back into recovery
When I try to set up any password, it does not let me proceed after the second test. Confirm gets grayed out

The issue here would be magisk. You usually need to boot to the system at least once before you can sucessfully flash Magisk. Don't know the reasons but it's seems to be an ongoing theme on A/B devices. Same happens on my OP6 and 6T

So theoretically I need flash the rom in 'A,' flash magisk on 'B', boot into the system once, reboot recovery into 'B,' and then install nanodroid?
Edit: Well I ignored Magisk and rebooted to recovery to install nanodroid after rom installation and it booted back into recovery unfortunately.

Forget my comment above.
I had ver 6.11 & updated yesterday via OTA. I noticed when phone sleeps, update installing pauses. So, I had to keep screen awake until the process was completed.
Great work, thank you.
Hello @00p513
The 6.13 version is working well, installed 2 days before.
Bugs
1. The much needed MOTO EXTRAS not wrorking, giving force close error.
2. Ambient Dispplay not working, giving fore close error.
And also the rom is without ROOT access.
Is this 64bit rom? no special caution needed when using twrp adb sideload?

LineageOS 18.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11/R, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Download LinkBoi00's version of TWRP here
Reboot to bootloader (adb reboot bootloader)
Fastboot into TWRP recovery (fastboot boot twrp*.img)
Do a factory reset in TWRP
Flash the latest build of Lineage OS
Boot into your new phone
Optional:
Most of us will want the basic functionality like Google Play, Maps and others, therefore I recommend downloading Gapps. You choose your own, but I recommend OpenGapps. They are among the few that can survive OTA updates.
If you do this, I recommend booting into the new LineageOS first, then reboot to recovery, do a factory reset and then only flash the gapps. If you don't do this, the gapps won't install properly

Ending words:
This is a follow-up to the Lineage 17.1 ROM that I was working on. You cannot just upgrade from it to this via the system updater, you have to go through the process above. As said before, this is mostly possible due to Lyceris-chan, go support him. If you have any errors or questions feel free to ask in the thread. As for official status, might happen, probably not, I don't have enough time to make the push. As for MicroG, I plan to publish a build too, keep an eye out on xda. If I failed to credit you, make yourself known.

MicroG:
If you know what this is, then feel free to install it. This is the same ROM as above, but "debloated" of Google Services that are replaced with open-source alternatives. It mainly works the same, but most daily users will prefer the "normal version". This ROM has its own separate OTA engine, so it should receive updates over it too. You can download it here. The install process is very similar, just don't install Gapps at the end.

I installed it without any error or bootloop. Are you doing clean install? Is your twrp version new?( I used 3.5.0_9.1.) What was your current rom?

Maybe you should try this twrp https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-twrp-recovery-for-xiaomi-mi-a2-lite.4178901/
After formatting data, wipe everything except sdcard. I put necessary files on sdcard.
And after the step that you install the rom, install twrp installer, too. And before rebooting system, don't forget to change your slot(from reboot menu), and reboot to recovery again. Than i installed gapps and magisk and rebooted system. Everything gone well.

No, if you want to encrypt, you will have to wipe your data. But I think that you can do a twrp backup and restore after the encrypting

Sure, always do what the developer says. I just told what i did and what worked for me. But maybe it's just what you said.

Encryption working ?
Can you send me a screenshot.
Very happy with the new ROM. Good job!
Thanks for providing this new version, I did a clean install today. Everything seems to work fine except the default browser - no matter if I use mobile data or wi-fi, it can't open any page
@reujea0 Thanks for the rom and all your efforts.
Which opengapps package do you recommend ?
And which is the biggest package we could safely flash to avoid twrp' s error 70 ?

No, formatting data and factory reset are required due to file based encryption being introduced by default.
Using this rom since came out and its working fine. Tks dev great work
Hello there!
The rom has been working wonderful so far.
The only issue I'm experiencing is that every time I get an app that requires my google account, it won't ask me or let me chose the one I've already set up on the device, it will only let me sync a new one, and if I try to login to the one I already have it will prompt a the message "the account is already in the device".
Any suggestions are more than welcome!
edit, Adding to this, I can't get it to display any of my google account contacts

I first tried with the one with Magisk in brackets, but those didn't work so I went for WeebGApps-arm-arm64-11.0-4.1.0.zip
Which one should I pick?

Why would you do that? As far as I know odexing is required for art runtime, which is the default runtime since a few versions now.

Could not reproduce the brightness thing, but there is something sketchy goingbon with some codecs (seems like av2). I' m on it and will include a fix asap. For now, using VLC wherever possible can be a workaround, as it seems to provide its own codecs.

I have both of the screenshots you shared also. But the option to choose fingerprint as an unlock method has just disappeared. Not sure why. I upgraded from the updater app cr droid provides. How did you update?

Right. There shouldn't be a print. First you need to select the unlock/encryption method. This is the method if the fingerprint doesn't work.

Great, thank you for your clarification. I still face an issue after adding my fingerprint. That the fingerprint doesnt show on lockscreen. It shows only the pin unlock. So probably there something wrong in my update. I will try clean install and let you know.
