Hi guys,
I'm using Gingko MIUI11 official with Bootloader unlocked and rooted, also Orange fox installed. As per invoice my device is still under warranty. But as I've unlocked bootloader, give root access also using a custom recovery what should I make sure before visit Service Center. As I'm facing proximity sensor issue and I've troubleshoot and found its hardware issue. So before visiting service center do I need to clean flash official MIUI again, lock bootloader again? Any suggestion please. As its my primary device I just don't want to clean flash. Is there anyway or advice? Or there is nothing to do

The only way to get back under warranty is to clean flash and relock bootloader

i think i read some where that unlocking and flashing eumiui do not break warranty bcz its back by miui, just don't use root,

no you cant claim warranty,
you already given root access to RN8,
unlocking dont void warranty but root will surely end warranty

don't try to lock bootloader, you'll brick your device,
just unroot and claim warranty
Ok sorry for so late... I've visited to my nearest Service center and repaired my device and Rooting or Unlocking bootloader doesn't void warranty said by the Xaiomi Service Center. Thanks to all

I have a problem with my primary camera focus I did a factory reset and still no improvement so I'm sending it back to OnePlus via O2 but my device is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked do I still get my warranty from OnePlus? Can someone let me know

Just relock the bootloader before you send it away.

Guys i choosed one plus 5t over Honor view 10 for many reason and rom development is one of them
I simply goggled that rooting voids warnty or not and Google say no warnty wont be void i also read various thread's where it is mentioned that warnty wont b void
But when i called one plus service centre they said yes warnty will be void

Ofcourse warranty will get void after root but if you want to gv ur phone to service centre there is a way for relocking your bootloader... After relocking your warranty wont get void...
I can gv u a procedure for relocking bootloader if you want

If I use ADB to remove bloatware on the F3, will I lose my warranty? Is the Xiaomi ADB official (from Xiaomi)? Do I also lose my warranty if I unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM? If not does Xiaomi say so on their website? What is the difference between using ADB and just deleting them manually? Thanks!
You will not use your warranty by using adb to remove bloatware. However you do waver your warranty by unlocking the bootloader to put a custom ROM on it. However you can theoretically still get a replacement despite this wavering of a warranty

You should be find. I have never had a Xiaomi and so didn't know how supportive they are. The official advice by Xiaomi is here:

First and foremost you can only unlock your own device. This means the unlocking tool you downloaded must be logged in with the same Mi account on your device. One Mi account could only unlock one device within 30 days

And that's where I come in.
I sent my Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro as a guarantee having had the precotion of flashing the global rom and re-locking the bootloader (I had a problem with my antenna, I received nothing).
They supported my Mi 9T Pro without any problem
What are the disadvantage of unlocking bootloader? Is there any reason to keep it locked? Do you lose anything by unlocking?

Honestly the biggest drawback is that generally no L1 support after unlock, but in this phone that doesn't happen, so I would say No drawback at all

No, you must wait 7 days to unlock after you submit the request to unlock bootloader. So you still need to bear with MIUI for at least 7 days.
There's no shortcut (yet).
Most banking apps will not work with unlocked bootloader. This apps consider unlocked bootloader as a root of the system, so a lack of security.

Yes that is true but it's still possible to pass safety nets but as long safety nets are passing u should still be able to use banking apps even if running on custom ROM

This is not always true.
Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco in many countries still have warranty after bootloader unlocked.
Check the local Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco policy yourself.

Firstly is SafetyNet check. This is the first thing for banking apps.
Some ROMs did not pass SafetyNet out of the box and they have to use Magisk and modules to make them pass. This kind of ROMs mostly will have issues with bank apps.
To sum up:
Bootloader unlock: you can use bank apps, but sometimes not.
Root: you can use bank apps with some adjustments, but sometimes not.
ROMs: you can use bank apps, but sometimes not without the help of Root.
Try and error, life is just like this.

That is not totally correct either.
There are many cases that people had installed custom ROM and bricked their phone, but Xiaomi still give free warranty within the warranty deadline.
If you installed custom ROM and need Xiaomi warranty, simply return to MIUI and you still get Xiaomi warranty within deadline, if the policy said so.

Warranty good but even if it does get voided I will still unlock bootloader anyway because of custom ROM and stuff but it's cool that warranty does not get voided after unlocking bootloader

As I said, some bank apps can work. If ur bank app does not work, then the only way to use it is to root the ROM using Magisk (and some other specific magisk modules have to be installed if installing magisk only does not do the trick).

Firstly don't consider locking the bootloader once you've done any ROM modifications.
Secondly unlocking the bootloader doesn't actually void the warranty on a Xiaomi device so you should be fine. However it's up to the discretion of Xiaomi (i.e if you brick the device then that's your fault)

Are you sure? I will maybe going to buy this on my country and some people told if I unlock the boot that is void the warranty..

Look up "Xiaomi China Global bricked". You will find many cases, and not easy to unbrick.

You have to check Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco warranty policy in your country yourself. The regulation varies between countries and regions.
In many countries and regions Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco still have warranty coverage after bootloader unlocked, but there's some exceptions. Check it yourself on the official website.

Just go buy the phone. It is worth it. Xiaomi EU is just as good as the newest chinese rom, and even somehow little better. So you kinda get the best.

But I installing the eu rom for the MI5S in the past and all works fine without bricked..
where is the "dangerous" process?
And maybe unlock the bootloader not void the warranty but if I install the EU rom that is void that?

Relock bootloader with Xiaomi.eu ROM that was based on China ROM in your Global phone is dangerous.
You can try if you dare to risk it on your Poco F3. You have been warned.
The principle is: do not lock bootloader.

Flash stock ROM back into phone, which makes phone looks identical to just after bootloader unlocked, so it's can still be under warranty, if you were able to flash it back.
There are exceptions that will still void warranty, read the policy yourself.
