Verizon Samsung Galaxy S9 boots up Cricket logo - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

So I placed a Cricket sim into an "unlocked" Verizon Samsung Galaxy S9 and now it boots up the Cricket logo on the splash screen, with or without the sim inserted. Why for? Also, APN settings did not stick, mobile data unusable. I thought all Verizon phones were network unlocked? Any suggestions? Primarily, puzzled as to how/why Cricket logo gets booted (with or without sim card).

[Q] [HELP] Ulocked i747 swap SIMs no connection?

When I take the SIM from my AT&T One XL and try using it in an unlocked AT&T i747 (updated to stock, unrooted LH9) i'm thinking of buying it gets no data connection and only an occasional phone signal--and i'm in a good signal area.
Most of the time the i747 thinks there is no sim installed. For instance when I go into Settings->More Settings and try tapping on Mobile Networks the message 'Insert SIM card' is displayed.
I tried factory resetting the phone, no change.
I can swap my SIM into my wife's One XL and everything works fine... my wife's SIM works fine in my One XL. But neither my sim nor my wife's sim works in the i747.
I chatted with AT&T cust svc and they told me they have to register the IMEI of the new phone every time i want to swap SIMs which as far as I know is complete BS. Isn't the point of unlocked GSM phones easy SIM swapping?
I also tried shimming the SIM in the i747 with a sheet of paper in case it was loose. No change.
Any thoughts? Bad radio hardware? I'm there is something wrong with the i747 since two seemingly good SIMs won't work in it.
Might be a bad unlock aswell. Call att if your brave.

After many unsuccessful attempts i entered the secret code to check lock status (*#7465625#) and after it ran returned with:
'Connection problem or invalid MMI code'
But is that about lock status or that the running the code was in error?

I am on Rogers and can and always have been able to use my sim in any of my Rogers or unlocked devices. My wife on the other hand, is with Telus, and she cannot use her sim on any other device without registering the device first. There might be a self help online method if I recall. So it possible you have the same sort of deal is Telus?
Solved--exchanged phones at at&t service center, now have 4g on my s3 with same sim as i use with One X.

HTC One - Switching from Verizon to AT&T

Hello, It is my understanding that Verizon phones are unlocked. have an HTC One phone that I would like to switch from Verizon to ATT. When I put a new sim card in the phone, it seems the ATT network is being blocked. Any thoughts?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Verizon uses CDMA and AT&T uses GSM. The only way you'd be able to switch to AT&T with an unlocked phone if it was under T-Mobile.

Network locked?

Background story, Got t-mobile LG G3 unlocked off craiglist, used it and somehow sim tray got busted. Called LG sent it in to have it repaired when it came back Sim tray was still busted and Phone would just freeze right as it turned on (tried hard reset everything).
So shipped it off again now its back and still not recognising my sim. Took it to T-mobile and it worked on T-mobile sim but wont' detect my Atnt sim.
Suggestions? in notification screen i see network locked and i can't even click network in setting to add apn

Note 3 will not register onto network

(I posted this in both the T-Mobile Note 3 and AT&T Note 3 forum)
So, every once in a while it will connect to the T-Mobile/MetroPCS (I have MetroPCS but since MetroPCS uses T-Mobile Towers, it (SHOULD) work and has in the past)
On my Samsung Galaxy Core Prime that I bought from the MetroPCS Store, it works absolutely perfectly.
It always is connected to the T-Mobile network.
But this phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (AT&T -- BUT I flashed Alliance Rom for T-Mobile, so it has a T-Mobile ROM) will not connect. As I've said before, if I get it at the right time, which is completely unpredictable and restart my phone it will connect but 10 minutes later it will disconnect and tell me "Selected Network (T-Mobile) is Unavailable"
Before, when I had the stock ROM (Lolipop AT&T) it did the same thing Except when it disconnected it would tell me "Phone not allowed MM#6"
The IMEI is valid and not blocked.
I do have service
I manually set the carrier to T-Mobile and also quick note when I click "Search networks" it only gives me T-Mobile, AT&T and Virizon (But it does only these three on my Core Prime too)
This phone IS UNLOCKED
and my Sim card is also Unlocked
And also, I have tested another Samsung Galaxy Core Prime's Sim card with this phone ( I have this phone, and one of my family members does too and also has MetroPCS )
It did the same thing
THOUGH when I tested with my other family members Cricket SIM card, it worked Perfectly!
Cricket, uses AT&T Towers from what I remember. So this makes me think that the phone, since it is AT&T it will connect to AT&T over everything else no mattter what I do. So,
Do any of you think buying a T-Mobile varient of this phone (Note 3) would fix the problem? Instead of this AT&T varient?
If I put my sim card in my Core Prime, turn it on then turn it off and put it in my Note 3, it will connect for a couple seconds.
ANY HELP -- Would be appreciated.
Something I forgot to say, I also tested this with a Blu Studio Energy 2 (It is not carrier specified) and had the same problem. It would work but sometimes it wouldn't and there was no way to guarentee it not disconnecting, and no way to put it back on the network that I knew of it just happened at random

[Q] SGH-M919 using ATT sim APN settings

Sim card is Straightalk. I believe reseller for ATT, T-Mobile.
Sim originally started in S2 ATT. Clipped card and I unlocked( but I dont remember if I did) for use in TMobile sgh-m919.
Running factory 4.4 kikat.
APN setup was T-Mobile and had strong LTE network.
Updated to Optimized LineageOS 14.1 jfltetmo, about week ago.
APN settings still showed T-Mobile.
But today, bam, no network, there was no nearby wifi, so it should've showed LTE. Phone started beeping.
Reset APN to Straightalk ATT settings and its now showing LTE network.
How did this go from T-Mobile to ATT ? Is the sim card truly unlocked ?
