Downgrade to Tizen 4.0.0.7 - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hello everyone,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Bluetooth version (SM-R820). I'm currently on R820XXU1CTI4, Tizen version 5.5.0.1 in the TPH region (Portugal).
Don't know about you guys, but this upgrade doesn't seem to be working really well to me.
The screen, and the watch hands flicker when waking up from from AOD, and some of my apps stopped working, namely MBWAY, wich I use for mobile payments.
My question is, is there a way to downgrade the watch back to Tizen 4.0.0.7 Build R820XXU1BTA1?
Can any of you guys point me in the right direction?
Thanks! :good:

Because in 4.0.0.7 I didn't have this problems?
Aren't you facing them?

Thank you very much! :good:
I'm going to download and try it.
The flashing process would be something like this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78800094&postcount=7) right?

Hi Diogo,
Do you try to downgrade? I'm having the same problems that you. I have contacted SIBS because of MBWay not working and it seems that they are not updating the app soon.

Hello adfree,
I want to do the same thing as J.Diogo, downgrade from Tizen 5.5.0.1 (R820XXU1CTI4) to 4.0.0.7 (R820XXU1BTA1) on Galaxy Watch Active 2 Bluetooth (SM-R820NZKALUX) for Belgium/Luxemburg region. The reason is that battery consumption increased from 20% per 12 hours to 30% per 12 hours. So the total autonomy dropped from 2 days and 12 hours to 1 day and 16 hours, so almost a day less. Besides that, also the navigation feels a bit more laggy. I did a factory rest, but it didn't help any of the two issues.
Do you have an idea if the above downgrade process worked or have you seen something similar that worked? I read in the comments of the following Youtube video that the wifi of the watch doesn't work anymore after using Odin on Tizen 5.5:

I didn't do it, because I didn't get any reply anymore and I didn't want to risk the "no wifi" issue. As for the battery drain, it got better some days later. Good luck.

I downgraded my GW yesterday for the same reason, the battery had been very affected, the system felt slow and laggy, the ram memory was always occupied with 650-680mb without applications in the background (of 768mb) while in Tizen 4.0.0.7 it occupies 550-600. In addition, the new Samsung Health seems absurd to me, they have removed the weekly history of everything! (except if you look at it on your mobile) the caffeine count etc. I have downgrade from 5.5.0.2 to 4.0.0.7 and I couldn't be happier, my GW feels agile again, yes, I have lost some spheres.

Could you confirm how you did the downgrade exactly?

Update - S Health

Hi Guys,
Just received the S Health update from Galaxy Apps. The UI has been completely modified and looks far better than before. Except for the ECG recording in Heart rate monitor, everything else looks like Galaxy S6 Health App . Heartbeat monitoring is changed but still looks antique.
Attached are the screens. To get the update, check for update in Galaxy Apps. If you are unable to get the update, try clearing the cache for S health in Settings--Applications.
Enjoy your weekend! Hit Thanks if you find my post useful!
Do you have to be on 5.0 to get this?
I really wish it would show both the device's pedometer info and the gear's side by side or something. I'll try the new version when I get the notification

Is MirrorLink (in-car) possible with Galaxy Note 10+ 5G?

I wondered if MirrorLink was possible with the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G?
(This isn't the same as Android Auto which almost every Android device is capable of. MirrorLink is quite an exclusive feature)
The official Mirrorlink website is very slow to update and by the time it does Note 10 will be old news. So I'd like to know if it can do it now? Can anyone confirm if it does or doesn't?
Plus points for those who've actually done it.
Thank you!!

yes ,I have a note 10+ and mirrorlink works fine
I actually use ARU unrooted with it on a Microsoft wireless display adapter(mirrorlink)
Yep. Here's a screenshot from my Note 10+
Hi, I’ve been hunting all over the web hoping to see how I can mirror any app to my cars infotainment screen with a new Note 10+5g from Verizon. I’ve been using the iPhone jailbroken for a few years now so I’m behind on Android compared to back in the day when I was deep into Android adding roms or simply rooting my Android device. If I bought this new Note 10+5g from Verizon, I am hoping to stream a movie app to the car’s screen even while the car is moving for passengers to watch. The car has CarPlay and Android Auto and the screen also has a “projection” icon because it’s a Chevy. I stumbled upon this post and you sound like you know how to do this. Can you verify how I can go forward keeping in mind I will be buying the Verizon variant of the phone? I just need to be certain this is possible or the phone won’t work for my needs. Thanks in advance for any assistance at all. Would be very grateful. Also, just out of curiosity, do you happen to know if the Verizon variant can be rooted? I’ve found no easy answer because you never know if people are talking about the Exynos version in the development posts. Thank you so much for possibly answering.
Solution
Hey folks,
I'm new. Came in via Google for this very problem.
I've read the posts but saw nowhere a solution or remedy.
If there's any info available I just got the Note10+ 5gcand I kept saying to everyone. There's gotta be a way to mirror by now.... Etc etc
Anyhow if anyone could let me know how to do this that would be great.
Thank you,
Muntsy

no ,you need a Pioneer Radio with a hdmi imput and that supports appradio
use android auto and open it up so you can add other apps if you don't have that type of radio
the thread link I sent you will explain everything
and yes ,you don't need root

My Galaxy Note 10+ 5G used to work with mirrorlink, but when I upgraded to Androd 10, mirrorlink stopped working. Samsung were no use, saying that my car was the problem. In the end I downgraded the OS to Android 9 to get mirrorlink working again.

Samsung galaxy watch active 2 touch bezel problem

Hello, I just got an active 2 and from the first day the touch bezel moves by itself, I can only use the watch if I deactivate that function. I already made a factory restoration and also from the recovery menu. Anyone have any idea how to fix it?
Thank you.

Hi, thnx for answering, the info is:
AP: R820XXU1BSJ6
CSC: R820OXA1BSJ6
Reason for my question is...
I remember only in old Firmware it was disable by default... only since R820XXU1BSI9 activated...
https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-R820/XAR/doc.html
· Bug fix for GPS.
· Touch bezel setting turned on by default.
· Improved performance of GPS.

You have R820XXU1BSJ6...
For few regions R820XXU1BSK4 is available... via FOTA update...
IMHO this is only test you should do... Firmware BSK4...
Before you return the Watch to Seller or you use Samsung Service Warranty stuff...
Best Regards

Yes.
It is "also" as netOdin package available... but not for free...
This is only idea... what you can do at home...
Otherwise maybe Hardware damage like Water...
Or you are too electrical...
Maybe try Watch on table without touching it...
But again.
At beginning Samsung sold this Watch with deafult disabled... maybe this is Production known...
Best Regards

For the moment I will wait for a New firmware, maybe it fix it.
Thanks again
I thought this was hint to say it is too sensitive. I do believe it is too sensitive. Coming from the Galaxy Watch (, Which I still wear for dress) the on screen bezel works way to fast. If it were slowed just a bit it would be perfect. But the Active 2 is just snappier all around. I would wait and update though I sort of doubt it will fix it.

Note 10+ Exynos Lockscreen Background Apps Lag

Anyone noticed that the apps running in background like Chrome and Android Auto stutter and lag when you lock the screen on N10+ Exynos??
It's driving me crazy, I tried everything:
- Turned off all battery optimization
- Kept the app locked in background
- Made sure the apps are allowed to run in background..
nothing worked for me.
any help please?
No, I dont experience anything as you say
I have tried it on 3 phones, all 3 had it - if you use Android auto you'll know what I'm talking about

But I have tested this with Android Auto and Google Chrome, both had the same lagging issue when locking the screen.

Well, if you are on the latest 10 firmware, you will not be able to roll back to pie, latest 10 has bootloader 4, which is higher than the last 9 firmware, no way around it
