You can root with sbd commands after flash file combination
you can refer here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83603153&postcount=171

After reading adfree's post sequence is;
1. Load Combination Firmware using NetOdin
2. Load CT14 firmware via Netodin -- Where is link for CT14 firwmare ?
3. Load ramdisk_only_smR500_ASL2_FT40.tar via NetOdin. Is this tar file placed inside "AP" Field of NetOdin ?
4. Load 2020_October_smR830_CTI4_ROOT_v1.tar via Netodin. Is this tar file also placed inside "AP" Field of NetOdin ?
What is the difference between AP, BL, CP, and CSC fields in Netodin window ?

For SM-R830 and CTI4 files are here:

NO Combination Firmware required.
MANDATORY is you are on Stock Firmware CTI4...

From NetODIN AP button, i will load the CT14 tar file ?
My Active 2 is still at 4 0 0 0 7.
Load Sequence is
1. Update current 4007 to latest tize CT14 via Samsung FOTA
2. Load Ramdisk rootfs via NetODIN AP
3. Load CT14 Root tar file via NetODIN AP
Verifying above sequence is correct ? Im afraid to brick my watch if sequence i not correct.
@JENJEN01
Yes you can use AP Button to select TAR File.
BUT first this File:
Code:
ramdisk_only_smR500_ASL2_FT40.tar
To disable Security...
Selfcheck of rootfs.img etc...
IMHO importan hint.
Use Standard Settings in netOdin.
NO changes in Settings!

Thank you. One last question. I have ECG and BP installed. Will i lose them after the CT14 rootfs NetOdin install ?
I flashed RM-830 files and every time it's bootlooping
There's a similar way (like @adfree root file) for CTJ5? I would try to reinstall the disappeared BP app
Hi... i would like to root my watch...
GWA2 with Tizen 5.5.0.2 and R820XXU1DUA7...
may i know which methods is easy to understand / do ?
Thank you....
@Vuska
Easy is to flash with netOdin...
But no DUA7 files leaked...
I have DUA7 Root... but in harder way...
DUA3 ROOT --> FOTA ---> result DUA7 with Root
Mandatory additional steps...

Pardon for the question: what benefits do you have by rooting the watch? If planning to debloat, which apps should be disabled/uninstalled? Any better battery life? Thanks

Hello,
I have flashed my M210 to wave II firmware not it works untill the phone goes to stand by mode, once it is into standby mode you can't unlock or wake it up from the dark screen..
am soo screwed,
Please help.
I have flashed many firmwares, the one that comes with Anycall M210 too.. yet the same problem.
any help???
Try official firmware : http://www.hotfile.com/dl/149639410/c232cb0/M210SKRLC1_M210SSKTLC1_SKT.zip.html
I flashed this firmwhere but didn't help, the problem remain the same
What you did...please tell me step by step
Because it is official Bada 2.0 firmware for M210S,there wouldn't be a problem
Firstly, i downloaded both the firmware and the downaloder 6.67
Flashed by selected the files appropriatly
all files successfully flashed successfully except the boot files...
i have to change them with other bootfiles from wave 2 firmware and it was flashed then
but after still is the same problem
it just doean't wake up after it goes into sleep mode ....
even though i have flashed the official firmware yet no hope
anybody ?

Sometimes Bootloader change is not more easy possible... during Security...
So it could be IMPOSSIBLE with Multiloader alone to jump back to Original M210S Boot...
One Hardcore way would be repair with JTAG...

Yes its not happening with multi loader, tried almost a dozelian times.
I don't know anything about JTAG
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13582911&postcount=13
RIFF Box means for instance JTAG... solder wires etc...
Sorry, no other working solution known...
Best Regards
Other direction...
I have S8530 device... to do stupid tests.
I wish I could use M210S Firmware...
Nope... not possible...
1.
Check Screenshot from ML...
Many addresses DIFFERENT... means partition table is not 1:1...
2.
I have tried several combinations with Boot change... but not possible...
dbl Error...
Best Regards
Edit.
Short tested with XPKD6 Boot...
Same result...
Soon I will try bada 1.2 Boot... maybe then more luck to change Boot to M210S...
Btw... M210S Firmware bada 1.x with Bootfiles available somewhere?
Edit 2.
Flashed XXJK2 Boot (bada 1.x)... same result...
It seems not possible with Multiloader to jump back to M210S Bootfiles... or to flash S8530 with M210S Boot...
ONLY as info yet...
Maybe this year chance to fix this...
1.
I have realized during mistake...
I have forgotten to copy dbl.mbn into folder...
That Boot Change also work only with 1 file...
boot_loader.mbn
2.
I have found way to disable RSA 1024 check of Bootloader... Maybe this makes easier to flash back M210S Boot...
But need some time for tests and more investigation...
Best Regards
I have an idea... test later...
In boot_loader.mbn of M210S Firmware is SHW-M210S instead GT-S8530 String...
Warning! Don't try it self. You could brick your handset.
Best Regards
Edit 1.
Summary...
dbl.mbn is 1:1 same file like in S8530 DBT...
Edit 2.
Progress...
Bypassed apps_compressed.bin...
My fault... it seems size check... in last 1024 Byte aka end.bin...
Now I have taken from bigger file XPKD6...
Now I need to wait for *.app and CSC finish... then I'll post result...

Wave 3 aka S8600 is COMPLETE different.
S8530 and M210S are similar... minor differences in Hardware...
S8500 is in this "Family Group"...
Simple check only folder BOOTFILES...
2 files for S8500,S8530,M210S:
Code:
boot_loader.mbn
dbl.mbn
Now look into S8600 XXKJC for instance has all files...
I can see 4 files, 2 more then the other group has...

No.

Also I have removed some Security with TriX...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37540321&postcount=263
S8530 seems not accept or load apps_compressed.bin from M210S ...
Tests with Debug high in RC2 file no Bluescreen...
Bootloader I have taken from XXLA1 DBT...
Maybe I should try also Boot from XPKD6...
Will make more tests next days...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
apps_compressed.bin from KRLC1 is exact:
Code:
27001856 Byte ([B]25,8 MB[/B])
XPKD6 was bigger... but maybe not good for XXLA1 Boot...
Will check now other files for best end.bin...
Edit 2.
I have forgotten KRLF1 from M210S, but same result...
---------- Post added at 05:16 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:19 AM ----------
Little progress with XPKD6 Boot...
Now CSC is not possible in Multioloader...
But I see progress bar moving in RC2 like on S8000 Jet...
I will create CSC with Wave_Remaker... and check again RC2 with Debug Level High...
Later more.

Edit 3.
Compared short *.so files... seems no Radio in M210S ?
Many *.so files more or different... Maybe interesting for study...
hi all
couldn't find information about this using google or searching here.
Useful stuff i've found:
wiki. tizen .org/Porting_Guide/Tizen_Bootup_Overview (no information about signing or checksums) [remove whitespaces]
I was wondering:
1. Can I simply flash anything via Odin and it will still boot or is there some signing going on? maybe just some "custom" packing?
2. Has any1 built tizen "from scratch" using their repos (?
3. Are there more information about the bootloader(s)? do they use u-boot? (saw that in their git repo)
Thanks a lot in advance!

WEAR OS
if it was done on the gear s, why isn't it possible to do with the galaxy watch or any others for that matter? I would rather have Wear OS instead of Tizen because of the universal capability to use on multiple platforms, plus the convenience of a plethora of apps. Samsung doesn't have versatility, or so it seems...
Is there anyone who has successfully rooted anything after the S2 and uses Wear?

I have R815u if this post is still alive and ongoing. I don't mind testing at all (steps provided of course)
Hi all, I'm new here, which probably explains my problem. I tried flashing my watch for the first time in an attempt to change the CSC, but now it's not working properly. The screen is always on displaying developer information and the whole interface has changed.
I can still get to the download wirelessly option, and as I understand it to restore it I would need the latest firmware for the R800 and flash via Odin.
If anyone has these files and any tips or instructions to get it back to normal I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks.

SM-R825F

HELP ME PLEASE
Look into this Thread:

The good news for you...
You need only OXA Region files... IMHO allready posted...
DBT and XEF is inside OXA package...

Thank you
I have to start at step19 #?
Please remember I have NO Crystal Ball.
But I am little bit scared why you want start with SDB...
IMHO short summary...
A
netOdin Action to flash Combination firmware to have ROOT access
B
If still alive...
SDB Action...
SDB is similar to ADB from Android world...
C
netOdin Action again...
This time with Stock Firmware

OK do you have a link to download netodin for tizen please ?
Why are you afraid that I will start directly with SDB?

thank you very much but i don't know why but odin can't watch with the watch
I cannot validate the change of csc its put an error which says that the files and in lettering only in SDB command
Maybe you know my English skills are limited... and I still have NO Crystal Ball.
So i can not smell nor see what kind of Problems you see.
I only see 2 Tools inside 1 post.
I mean it is impossible to me. If step 1 is flash 1 file with netOdin...
Please if you expect any kind of help. Give FULL details what you see on your screen...
Best "magic" is Screenshot.

Example what I have expected...
It is possible to take this Combination Firmware now for SM-R825F and SM-R825U:

Friendly user confirmed it work:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82843789&postcount=62
This would be step 1...
Btw... few weeks ago I helped user from XEF to DBT with his SM-R825F... successfully.
So it is no Rocket Science.
Best Regards
hello I understood the procedure now and I found a video that explains well I have a problem with the COMBINATION-FT40_R825USQU1ASL2.tar which failed at the end so I rebooted with that the AP, BL, CSC R825FXXU1ASI7_Tizen no problem . So I don't understand why the COMBINATION-FT40_R825USQU1ASL2.tar failed
IMHO I wrote few times in the other Thread, why "failed"...
IGNORE Error, if Watch booting proper to Firmware...
Reason is additional file/folder...
Code:
meta-data/1.mf
Btw, this is why I have removed this... and posted...
Now you can proceed with SDB...
Please try to read Instructions... IMHO all hints given how to do...
Good Luck.
Best Regards
Okay so despite the failed and the watch that does not restart I restart the watch myself and proceed to change CSC via sbd.?
Best regards
Yes.
If nothing exploded and Watch boot into Tizen OS... so you can click around and find your IP address after connecting to WiFi...
Feel free to click around this thread... you are not the only one... not the first and maybe not the last... here for instance Screenshot of netOdin:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82347797&postcount=32
IMHO only to need reading twice... or maybe more then 2 times or 3 or again.
Nearly all problems allready described in this thread... IMHO.
Best Regards

ownRISK-FT40_R825USQU1ASL2_repair_v1.[B]tar[/B]
This TAR file is inside this 7Zip package:
Code:
ownRISK-FT40_R825USQU1ASL2_repair_v1.[B]7z[/B]
Differnce to the other files, I was toooo lazy to created the MD5 Hash,,,
So maybe better you use the allready known Combination Firmware... because MD5 is good for Selfcheck...

Remember not me nor others have Crystal Ball...
And IMHO I have the feeling you are in Combination Firmware... so you have only focus on the next steps...
Good news for you.
Last time I post... BEFORE you not post Photo from Error... I will NOT post again.
Good Luck.
This is NO Rocket Science.

Hi adfree ! Would that apply to me?
Excuse me for my English but I speak very little (which makes my understanding more difficult). I speak spanish.
Short version: I´m in Argentina with an Active 2 SM-825U (Tizen 5.5.0.2 / Build Number: R825USQU1CUD1 ) that cannot see the movil network.
Company says I should have bought SM-825 ( without U , my fault ) but confused me saying american models. After my bought said Mexico and Canada models )
My Questions:
1- What must I specific do ? Can I fix that only changing the CSC code to ARO , MXO or XAC ?
I not finding or not knowing what combination files I must use.
Don´t match last 4 characters: https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=folder&id=47818
2- I´d be interested to know if I can use SM-R820 or SM-R825 combination files or would that kill the watch ?
I´ve reached to establish communication between the watch and NetOdin but I´ve stopped there for not knowing the above.
From already, thank you very much ! Sincerely.... Eduardo.
Hi I got s22 s901W combination files BOOT RECOVERY AND MODEM but i cant flash them due to system binary protection so in s10 u could buy tokens online to allow system binary now is there any way to flash these onto my device I will share the files if they work.
You need eToken (steady.bin) to use Combination Firmware.
Background info you can find here:
