Hi,
Could you suggest an app for two dash cam connect (rear and front) AV input for PX5 head unit?
It could be better if I can select in-app between "camera" and "aux" lines
Thanks

Should I be using the default camera app? I like that I can double tap home to quick access, and I don't think that I can do that with third-party app.
I have a3 and i find the stock camera photos kinda soft or fuzzy ...theres not much detail... Im using open camera because is the first camera api2 compatible camera i found... The images are significantly better in terms of clarity/detail... If you have any suggestion for a camera app I'm open....
I use Manual camera https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.vipek.camera2
You can use Manual mode! It's amazing!
If u can't pay it there are some external stores that have it....cof cof aptoide cof cof!!

Is there anyway to get the double press short cut to work for third party cameras?

Guess I'm looking for one that I can use when the screen is off. I take it I need to root my phone.

Started using it and it's great. I tried camera fv-5 and I preferred manual camera! But the thing about fv-5 is that you can switch to video camera easily since there's a corresponding video camera app. Wish manual camera had that.
Hello!
I use my phone as a dash cam.
Works pretty good, but all dash cam apps I tried are using the "normal" camera and not the wide angle cam.
But the wide angle cam would be perfect.
How can I switch between the two cameras or does anyone know a dash cam app which uses the wide angle?
Rgds, Martin
EDIT:

Solution found, it should also work with
V20, G5
Install DailyRoads Voyager Pro from PlayStore
After install go to authors homepage
On the right hand side, download APK "Pro version with wide-angle" and install it as update over the Version from PlayStore.
It works for me on the LG G6 (H870)
EDIT2:
I am not the author of this app and I am not related to the author!
I don't think the wide angle is exposed in the camera 2 API. It's unlikely that you will find a third party app that will ever support it.

Whatsapp uses both lenses, so why dashcam app couldn't do iit ?
Good question, looking for the same!
I have asked the developer of the dashcam app I am using.
If I get feedback I will let you know.

Interesting, I just installed WhatsApp to check this out. Where do you switch it to wide angle?

by pressing the camera symbol in the right hand corner (as soon as you have activated the camera in WhatsApp)
It switches the camera, "back wide / back normal / front "

Does this need a sim card or internet to work? Curious because I want to run my old g4 with this but obviously its not connected to a mobile network.

You can run this app without any internet/network connections.
There is the possibility to upload videos, but no need.
I have blocked all network connections to this app via firewall.

Fantastic! Thank you
For those coming from Google: Autoguard is another app that uses the wide-angle camera by default.
Useful thread, never thought about using mobile as dash cam.

Works pretty good. The dash cam app starts as soon as bluetooth is connected to car radio.
So you don't have to think about starting that app.
Playing music over bluetooth and using navigation app at the same time works without problems.

On LG-Developers website, there are libraries to use the second back-camera.
I'm using them in my app, they all work.
Is there an app that films 4:3 in full Resolution with the wide angle camera?

Try on Oreo.
Could someone confirm if the new A50 (and presumably soon the A70 and A90 too) features high-res audio output from the headphone socket (24-bit / 192k for example)? I'm sure the chipset would support it, but not sure what the firmware allows.

Well I use Poweramp audio player which supports high-res playback, and in its Settings > Audio > Output page there should be a "Hi-Res Output" option if that feature is available. It's not a deal-breaker for me in choosing a phone from the new Ax0 range, but it'd be nice. Thanks,
Andre

Yes, that's the one. And it looks like high-res is indeed supported, thanks for checking. (16/48 is the default setting, but drilling down in Wired Headset/AUX would allow you to select higher output frequencies).

In the Poweramp app (v3), go to Settings > Audio > Output > Hi-Res Output.
Andre
(full disclosure: I'm a moderator on Poweramp's support forums, however this is not an advert for Poweramp, other high-res audio players are available...)
You can also enable high rez streaming to bluetooth using developer settings. that's how i did it(didn't know it was high rez, just thought the bluetooth audio quality was better)
