I have the same probelm
TCL c715!
Try with the official channel editor :
https://www.tcl.com/cedit/#/
Help guide
Channel list editor is a useful tool to copy channel list from TV. You can modify the channel list information such as channel position,
channel name, favorite channel, channel lock, and even hide channel through using this tool, and then copy the modified channel list to your TV.
User Menu: System settings->Channel->Transfer channel list
Click to collapse
Does anyone know if the official TCL Channel Editor web page has moved to somewhere else since the current official web page https://www.tcl.com/cedit/#/ returns with a 504 ERROR after hourglassing for a 2 minutes. I can't reach the site for 2 weeks now.
Thanks!

Hey thanks a lot for the heads up! I just had a question... Can we really change the intro animation..? I mean completely replace it..? Or is that not possible??
Reply soon....
Hi all, I find the file /User/OspSys/LifeLog/Database/lifelog.db.
It's SQLite (view by sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net )
There are many information, calls, deleted messages (but only 100 chars).
I hope, it's information isn't send anywhere, because my wave is trying to connect once a day (it's maybe one of the widget)

hi, today I just gave a quick look to all files, but I think it's possible, in PowerOnOff.ini there are clear bindings to two .swf files and a startup / shutdown .wav sound contained in the resource path Phone:/SystemFS/PowerOnOff not sure, need to watch those files, I'll verify in next days..

Yes, you can change this too in Trix but in fact nothing change. Exp. you can't change "volume level" (exp. in MediaPlayer there is limit to 14 steps, if you change that to 15 steps and add one more <spklevel> and <earlevel>-so that there will be 15 steps, but nothing change in Wave, you can still able go to max. 14 steps in MediaPlayer) and you can't change that may mp3 playing miusic lauder as well as playing video, even if you copy and paste settings from VideoPlayer to MediaPlayer (only test that on speaker not on headphones).
In Registry\MainMenu_reg.ini you can remove any icons from the main menu (except SamsungApps). The file format is clear, I will note only that the system items will have MenuType=0, custom user applications - MenuType=1, SamsungApps - MenuType=2.
And, of course, make a backup before any manipulations with MainMenu_reg.ini
to be clear
adfree had made all those expermintes before & we already know these things
if there is something new please post it

Assuming that replacing original browser it's difficult to do, source code is available (http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/reception_main.do?method=reception_list&menu_item=mobile thanks to sabianadmin) but the browser seems deeply integrated in the os files (also notice that Samsung Dolfin is not the open source browser Dolphin..): is there anyone who found in filesystem files the textures used by the browser GUI? if aren't cripted it will be possibile to change them for having a more usable GUI on our little screen (I'm thinking of upper/lower bars..)

I think the browser user interface might be in the file called BrowserAppControl.so which can be found in the SystemFS>Osp folder. All files in that folder are in .so formats. But they are RSA 1024bit signed. And they are not like other settings in phones which are written in html or xml. These files are similar to the .dll files on Windows. .so files are Linux format files.
Is there anyway to modify an *.ini file to enable "Noise Reduction" to always be on during calls?

i got the same error
im running the latest firmware s8530DXKB1/s8530OLBKB1
you have to specify the port you are using for connection from settings
in Phone:/SystemFS/Driver/CameraCaps/DevCamDeviceCapsNConfig_Primary.xml
you can change max ISO and max resolution parameters for phone camera, so you can set iso1600 or 8mp for photos, probably it is useless but it's still a hack
thanks to: http://www.badaitalia.com/2011/06/13/fotografie-con-poca-luce-a-iso-1600/
(on Bada 1.0.2 this system folder is missing so it's not possible..)
Yeah, I read it. Tonight I'll try and I'll let you know.
I wanna change browser's default homepage in my firmware file (.csc or .ffs). How?

You can change the default browser Hompage of your phone directly through the phone menu.
1. In Phone:
Go to Menu=> Settings=> Internet =>Homepage => Enter URL (here enter the url of your choice, e.g http://m.yahoo.com) =>Save.
2. In CSC firmware.
Alternatively, you can change it from the firmware (CSC) before flashing (or use STune to edit the CSC directly in the phone).
Use TriX or Wave Remaker to dump the CSC file.
Go to folder CSC => folder Customer =>folder containing your region CSC(e.g DBT, INU, etc) => customer.xml.
Open the customer.xml with Notepad, and edit the URL next behind your network operators PofileName.
Use the search function (Ctrl+F), to search for:
<ProfileName>xyz</ProfileName>
(where xyz is the name of your network operator, e.g vodafone, movistar, etc.
So replace xyz with your operator name before doing the search,e.g <ProfileName>vodafone</ProfileName> ).
Immediately below the search results, you will see a URL like the one below:
<URL>http://m.uk.samsungapps.com</URL>
Now change this URL to anything you like (e.g. http://m.yahoo.com).
That's all.
NOTE: If your search result is empty, please search only for <ProfileName>
then manually browse for the profilename containing your operator's name which contains URL for Internet or WAP

Hi everybody,
This is my experimental program, if you want to modify hosts without using registry, please try this app. It is only support IPV4 now.
If you have any idea, please contact me([email protected]).
Thanks to Heathcliff74 for making this possible (WP7 Root Tools SDK)!
Update note:
-----------------------
1.0.2: Root tool bug has been fixed now!
Hi,
Thanks for work, but sreenshoot ?
Working great here, thanks knightluffy!!!
I did find one thing for those using this (perhaps knightluffy can look into this too and update), be careful when entering a domain not to include the http:// part as the app will close upon reentry.. the // or : are invalid characters perhaps for the host causing the app to crash. I had to delete the entry in the registry to get back into the app.
Very nice app, you can easily add, delete your entries directly in the application.

I have made a fix, could you please help try it again?
Tested v1.0.1, this version works when entering : or / which is great in case one mistakenly adds it! Thanks!
The entry however disappears if you exit and re-open the app preventing editing/removing it...but it does add the entry into the registry. If there is a way without going too crazy to check for and remove any incorrect characters, such as the : and / or any other character except for a hyphen - in the Address field, and only allow numbers and a . in the ip field that would be helpful at preventing incorrect entries for those not too familiar with the hosts file.

I need help please. I am working with a friend making an app. We are both not that clever with android
What we are trying to do..
We have 3 locations location1 ID1 location 2 ID2 location3 ID3.
I have an external ftp which had lots of images on 20 png files for each ID. they are updated every 6mins and the oldest is deleted.
The files are called ID.datetime.png .
So what im trying to do is when picked the location name it then goes to the ftp and gets the newest 6 png files for that station id.
Can someone tell me how to do this or share some code, thanks
PS the ftp is annon/annon too
thanks again
Hey man. I dont think you are on the right way.
What i think: you need to make some logic on server side^ your app call that method and get all links to images, and then uload it on the APP
Hello everyone
I purchased a Philips 43pus8556 / 12 television with S.O. AndroidTV 10.
I extracted the channel list and wanted to print it but the list is in XML format with channel names (RAI1, RAI2 etc.) in hexadecimal and with all the technical characteristics of the channel in the text format.
There is no function to turn the name of channels into text during extraction.
The fact that the list is in XML is not a problem, I can safely print it in pdf.
The problem is the conversion from hexadecimal in ASCII of the channel name.
Can anyone indicate if there is a tool, a procedure, an editor that transforms me from hexadecimal in Asci the name of the channel ?
Thanks for your help.
P.S. sorry for my english
I attach the lists of digital terrestrial and satellite channels
That's not an easy task as it involve 2 tasks that are note commonly used together.
You need to parse your XML file (and extract data from it) then convert this data to unicode or utf-8 (not ascii).
Your best hope is to look for a java/python developper, it can be done in less than a hour.
You can also try to use XML tools to parse and extract data yourself and then look for a converter.
Good luck.
Thanks for the reply.
It would be easier if Philips gave the possibility of exporting the list of channels in text format or if there was an app that made it
Hi,
open the Channel-List in ChanSort (Open Source Tool). Maybe it is easier with that tool.
[email protected]
Thanks Toengel
I tried to open the list of channels (XML file) in Chansort but I get a series of mistakes, from what I understand I think the format is not recognized ...
I attach the screenshot of errors
Hi,
can you please upload the channel list (everything, that is exported by the TV) and post a link in my blog. The author of ChanSort will take a look at it.

I tried to send the data you request me on your forum, but not obviously I can't do it because once confirmed I don't see them .... will it be because I don't know the German language?
However if I can send them here:
Philips 43pus8556 / 12
AndroidTV 10
soft. ver. TPM211EA_R.001.001.233.005
Chan. ver. 115.0
In my first post there are the lists of DVBT and DVBS channels.
Thanks for your interest
HI,
your post is now visible in my blog.

OK, thanks for your help.
I only sent the lists of DVBT and DVBS channels. Do you need everything downloaded from the TV and present on the USB?
Hi,
when you extract via TV the channel list, just ZIP everything and upload it.
[email protected]
In attachment the zip of everything that was passed on the USB stick when I made a copy of the channels
