Recently bought S20+ BTS Edition. Upon first install, the system mentioned that I got special edition privileges and changed the default theme to BTS Edition special theme, which seemed really nice although I have no interest and knowledge about BTS
Later that day, I've updated the ROM of the device to another country with the latest updates. Then, when setting up the device within the new ROM, it did not show the special edition message and did not install the special edition theme. The theme is not also to be found anywhere. I think with installing new ROM, I've lost special edition privileges as well as theme and others if there are any.
Is there any way to revert it or solve this issue?
Thanks in advance.
You need to reflash your original firmware.
I believe the BTS edition ends with OYZ (Z meaning custom edition - BTS).

I had this happen to me as well. I've been looking for the BTS edition firmware for the US as that where I am located. If you find the firmware I would be grateful if you shared it.

Hi, Recently I have bought an Amoi N800 (WM6). There are lots of pre-installed programs that I do not use. Since, there is not much support from the official site (or no other unofficial rom to choose from). I would like to downloand to orginal ROM image and hopefully removed some of the unwanted (pre-installed) software. Anyone can step me through? Is it a prefer way to do so?
Please help!
Greetings
I just purchased a Shadow from T-Mobile and have unlocked it for use with AT&T. I have been hammering away on it to remove anything referencing T-Mobile and have done alright until now as I am hitting files at the root of \windows that can't be edited/deleted as they are ROM protected files.
Is there a generic, factory or any other kind of ROM available for this phone (other than T-Mobile's of course)?
Thanks in advance!
The best way to go about this would be to cook up the ROM using a Kitchen, I have disassembled the newest shadow rom a while ago while looking for goodies, so the tools work with it..
Thank you!
Although I am very technical, I am fairly new to rom modification. Can you outline/point me to some tools that can help me on my way?
Thanks again!
yes, juno / shadow / phoebus HTC original ROM would be much appreciated.
Do they even sell this non-branded yet? If not I guess that's why one hasnt showed up here yet, If they do, what gives?
Hey guys was wondering about flashing my HTC Touch Diamond, But I want a decent ROM.
Something that's not too packed up full of junk, Easy to use and a better performance.
Also maybe a guide to unlocking/debranding this phone along with a flash guide if that's not too much?
cheers.

From one newbie to another, you should read the sticky posts... they are full guides and information about flashing your phone's ROM / Radio etc.
The forum 'Search' facility is your friend, it like's to be used. That's what I did and found all I needed to know about the available ROM's and Flashing process without having to ask a single question.
The New World ROM introduced a much-improved version of the Open Firmware interpreter, version 3.0, which added many missing features, fixed most of the bugs from earlier versions, and had the capability to run CHRP boot scripts. The Toolbox ROM was embedded inside a CHRP script in the System Folder called "Mac OS ROM", along with a short loader stub and a copy of the Happy Mac icon (in Mac OS X 10.2 and higher, this was replaced with a silhouette of the Apple logo on a blank gray screen) suitable for display from Open Firmware. Once the ROM was loaded from disk, the Mac boot sequence continued as usual. As before, Open Firmware could also run a binary boot loader, and version 3.0 added support for ELF objects as well as the XCOFF files versions 1.0.5 and 2.0 supported. Also, version 3.0 (as well as some of the last releases of version 2.x, starting with the PowerBook 3400) officially supported direct access to the Open Firmware command prompt from the console (by setting the auto-boot? variable to false from Mac OS, or by holding down Command-Option-O-F at boot).

new rom
hello
i read a lot bout this mobile and its price is awesome for someone like me who's ready to purchase mid-range mobile for close price...but i lost with ROMs and i'm afraid to buy it and experience hell with it.
i'd purchase it from chinese online store which provide some ROM supports google play and semi translated ROM , so for sure i must be sure to have necessary knowledge before purchasing .
1- what's with heating issue? is it from ROM or the mobile ? cause i read a lot of threads worldwide regarding this matter, and i dont know if it's reasonable or unbearable all the time heating?
2- official ROM is indian one here which should be ZUI 2.0.093_ST_16081 , so im assuming it's %100 english language which is perfect, but i'm from arabian country so i need arabic keyboard and encoding.
i believe arabic keyboard is easy to obtain once i download google keyboard and add language, but for encoding i need someone to confirm it, cause i want to browse arabic contents from apps like whatsapp or from chrome browser, i want to know if arabic would displayed correctly or it won't be supported and appears like rubbish?
ps. i dont want arabic UI for the device.
3- GPS, i read some threads saying that official ROM is the best , and some/most custom roms have some issues, is that so far ?
4- i love STOCK ANDROID experience, never interested with extra customization whether it was official OEM rom or 3rd party ROM, especially avoiding bloatware as possible, who's giving me such a STABLE experience, is it... ?
A- official indian rom?
B- official 3rd party ROMs like cosmic-os 7.1.1_20170317_1.4 , CitrusCAF-3.1-TANGERINE or mokee MK60.1-z2-170413-RELEASE ?
i know there's other roms like lineage , but i wont use something unofficial.
5- is this the correct official indian rom that if installed, would support OTA and receive nougat in may? Z2132_Q01017.1_M_ZUI_2.0.093_ST_160811
sorry for long thread , please help me ASAP if possible, shipping is taking 3-4 weeks so i must order soon before offer/stock finish.
regards
First of all, hey there, glad to know you're wondering buying this phone. Actually, it's not a mid-phone, I guess, 'cause many other (like Huawei P9 Lite, Galaxy S6 Edge) phones are weaker than the ZUK comparing their specs.
1. Not sure where you have read about heating, but I'm not having such a problem. Using stock China version Nougat ROM just with unlocked bootloader and rooted. I haven't tried any custom ROM yet, so cannot answer if it heats with custom ROM. So to conclude, the heat depends not only on the phone itself or the ROM that's installed, but it's important where you'e living too, e.g. in hot countries or so increases your phone temperature.
2. Yeah, after everything you can set up your own language using G-board, btw, encoding is fine, I'm Lithuanian and it has many letters that other countries doesn't have, for example, ąčęė and so on, and the phone displays it perfectly, just unsure how recipient sees it, but I assume it's upon recipients' phone settings.
3. It makes sense - Custom ROM aren't officially released and it's created by some developers; and this is the reason why some custom ROM may have certain problems. On the other hand, GPS /w official ROM works flawlessly.
4. About bloatware.. There's lots of it on stock ROM. Some of them you can delete, some of them you cannot. The only way for now is to unlock your bootloader (otherwise you won't be able to root your phone - and I don't know why when many other phones can be rooter without unlocking bootloader, but whatever..), then root your phone and remove manually using some kind of app (System APP Remover, etc) or just download AdAway. It's all upon you.
5. Nougat is already released, you should receive it either with China or Indian version ROM. But yeah, you must be on that kind of stock version that you've written (I upgraded from that version to Nougat)
If you've any other questions quote me, 'll give a try to answer ASAP.
I would like to request for a custom rom MediaPad M2-A04LV100R001C137B022
I have followed this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...nd-root-your-huawei-mediapad-m2-8-10.3322340/
to root my tablet but all the links are dead.
Please any help would be really appreciate
I'll 2nd that request, specifically for 802L.
Considering the current state of electronics supply chains (semiconductors) and the aging and/or boring tablets on the market ATM, this may be a good time to kick start a custom ROM for this device.
I have a developer background and would be keen on trying a "roll your own" ROM but have questions before I get started:
Considering the age of the last software release (ROM) provided for 802L, would the current drivers work with the latest Android kernel?
Can anyone suggest a helpful 'roll your own' guide (noting I'll be searching XDA forums myself, but recommendations can sometimes speed this process up a bit)?
There has been (what appeared to be) a custom ROM some time ago. I'd love to hear from the developer (ajsmsg78) and what they may suggest moving forwards (if that is a good idea to do so considering my first point above).
It may take me a while to get started as I don't want to brick my device, and I don't have the "unlock OEM" option in my developer menu either (looks like KingRoot may be the way... if it still exists).
Any guidance for this n00b would be greatly appreciated.
It's a shame that my m2-802L, although more capable than my newer Samsung tab A 2017, has to be obsoleted because of the outdated Android OS! So an updated custom firmware would be great.
Would live to revive this table/phone as well.
M2 10 lte
M2A01L custom firmware neded too
great i am looking forward to a custom rom for this device
