Oh, I don't know whether it supports Android R. But maybe I could try flashing MicroG with this build...in case it goes wrong I still can restore my current system
Edit: Nope, not working with MicroG. Neither Magisk nor MicroG is displayed after flash and reboot to system...
Great work man, will definitely try this one.

Arrow works better, I don't understand why to produce identical firmware without adding new features.

Well , i think that's the first step for developing Rom...Arrow and Crdoid have different bases and different set of features so i guess an initial build is must and Dev should be given an applause for sharing this with us....

I guess, but I currently use a few apps like gcam that need play services. That still would be preferable to gapps I guess.

Don't worry, I think it's just a matter of proper implementation. I've tried another Android 11 rom where Magisk and MicroG are both displayed in menu after flashing. Although there it's not fully operational, imo it should work after some adjustments.

Hi - yes fingerprint works fine; I had no problems with it although I found I had to do a full wipe in order to use it with my banking app. Dalvik/cache/data/system. I am now on Lineage 17.1 from the same group of developers and have no real problems with it.

I never bother with that l just make sure I've backed up my data to big brother Google and reinstall from scratch. Obviously if you don't trust big brother then you'll have to find another way.

In case you are interested, there are new ROMS here:-
Marmite Family - Browse Files at SourceForge.net
sourceforge.net
I have noticed when installing for the first time you might need to format 'data' in TWRP and also in TWRP once you have installed and go to reboot TWRP states ' no system installed' when you reboot the screen stays black for a while don't worry press the power button and boot system. The phone should boot up fine.

Thanks mate. I'd like to try out some GSI roms as well. I wanted to try out Havoc OS (pie) but in the thread on here the author said you need a magisk module to patch so safetynet works but the file on gdrive doesn't exist anymore. Do you have any experience with GSI roms and safety net on this device?

I'm experiencing a really strange bug with this rom. When using 4g data the battery drains like crazy. it goes down by 1 percent every 30 seconds.
The battery isn't actually draining though, it just says it is and forces the phone to switch off. Anyone else get this?
I am using PE+ 10 and do not have any issues like you describe.

The latest 4.8 version (and all future versions) have FBE (file based encryption) enabled, which is easier to work with and use than traditional FDE (full disk encryption) in previous Android versions. Because of this change, you MUST use the FBE enabled TWRP recovery linked above in order to access your files in recovery mode. In case you missed it, here is the link again:
FBE enabled TWRP: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664781632
If you are coming from a 3.18 based ROM (you probably will be) you MUST format your internal storage directly after flashing the ROM. Backup anything important first.

Maybe you're not on telegram, where someone asks every 5 minutes when gemini version is coming out. I see you have unofficial 2.9 but I don't see 3.0 here. I know of the "Havoc-Gemini" repo and I also know why your maintainer got booted from official. I have no opinion on the subject, it's not my place to comment. I'm also well aware of the 4.4 kernel port, I've been working with xNombre to try and port it to lithium.
The whole point of open source is that it's supposed to drive innovation and collaboration by working together to achieve our goals. I learned a lot about Android by porting the formerly gemini only Syberia to lithium. I didn't want to just take advantage of that knowledge and run off with it, I wanted to give something back to the community that helped me in the beginning.
I seriously doubt that you with your single post on XDA forums speak for the whole Mi5 community, but if any other dev wants to collaborate with me or wants me to take this down then I'm happy to accommodate them.
Have a nice day
Please do give update for v3. We all are very thankfull to you. And GOD bless you.
Thank you!
Thanks for porting this ROM. Also I read the announcement (for the mi mix) that the device should clean install. Is that also apply on this port ROM?

If coming from Pie, then most definitely clean flash. If you have another devs v3 build a dirty flash might work, but I would still recommend a clean flash as the device trees will be different. Google drive backup does a very good job of backing up all your apps and settings, so if you clean flash and sign in to your Google account the setup wizard will get restore everything :good:
Can you make this rom for mi5s (capricorn)?
Sent from my MI 5s using Tapatalk
Thanks, keep updating via xda pls.
one user mentioning Telegram is odd. if other devs decided not to share via Xda why a mere user have the rights to question who is willing to share via XDA. odd.
regardless, so far everything works. I am ok with permissive se-linux.
Dolby digital Plus and EdExposed working out of the box. ANT also working.
thank you

This ROM is fantastic! Incredibly smooth with Bitgapps and starting very quickly.
Everything's working: bluetooth, wifi, data, fast-charging...will test and report about Screen Cast later.
In next releases I'd love to be able to switch a single SIMcard off.
However congratulations...and thank you for this!!!

THERE IS AN OFFICIAL BUILD NOW, USE THAT INSTEAD!Note: this ROM is derived from LeddaZ's build. I will continue to update it until my 9s is on its last legs. Do not expect any features to be added.
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
What's not working:
Widevine L1
Some users may face "idle freeze" bug (phone reboots after a few minutes with the screen off). If it happens try to change kernel.
Instructions:
Download the latest build and GApps (optional)
Reboot to recovery
Wipe cache/dalvik and format data
Flash the latest build and GApps (optional)
Reboot
Downloads:
LineageOS
Lineage Recovery (optional, you can use any custom recovery)
mauronofrio's TWRP (recommended for OTA if/when it's added)
GApps (OpenGApps arm64 10.0 nano recommended)
Firmware for curtana, joyeuse, excalibur, gram (download the last version for Android 10)
Notes:
GApps are not included
ANXCam v190 reportedly works with all features
SafetyNet should always pass, if not use MagiskHide
The build codename is curtana but the ROM reportedly works for all miatoll devices
If you use Lineage Recovery make sure to mount /system before flashing GApps and Magisk
If you want Magisk, flash it after the first boot
If you want to update the ROM, make sure to disable ANXCam before flashing, you can re-enable it after the update
Use latest global firmware for curtana and joyeuse, Indian firmware for excalibur and gram

ProtonAOSPAndroid 12 ROM for Pixel 2 XL - Maintained by @EnesSastim
Spoiler: SPECIAL THANKS TO
@Lunarixus on XDA (using his device tree, mentorship, and fixes. Wonderful work)
@RealOkabe on XDA for his build process, we only reached bootable state thanks to his work.
@ReallySnow on XDA for his work on Android 12 vendor. I consider him my teacher, and most of the Android 12 heavy lifting was done by him.
None of this would've happened without them.
ProtonAOSP is a minimal Android fork (custom ROM) focused on UI/UX and performance, with a touch of privacy.
Screenshots are attached.

This ROM is currently distributed as OTA zips. Flash it the same way you would, in a custom recovery. Don't forget to wipe all data using "fastboot -w" or using my tool before booting the ROM.

Edit: thanks to the people that have donated. For the sake of transparency, I'm gonna publicise the donations i've received. a pixel 2xl where i live costs 200 dollars. I'm gonna be putting a counter here.
Edit 2: pls don't donate to me anymore.
$200/200 (100% progress)
After repartitioning the phone to 4GB, this flashed successfully and works pretty well! Gonna keep messing around with it and see if I encounter any issues, but so far, it's working really well.
Awesome job!

Are you serious? You're getting the rom for free. Also Google has stopped lockscreen album art since Android 11

Is vanilla build better or the build you've already uploaded? Which one has all the Pixel goodies?

the build i already uploaded has a lot of pixel stuff. though it will only flash if you repartitioned your device according to my guide (linked in the second post).
the upcoming build will be flashable by everyone. it'll still have the pixel specific stuff like launcher and animated wallpapers, just slightly debloated!
also a vanilla build is coming alongside it for those that want to run without gapps.

Is it safe/possible to install 'GApps' version without repartition process?
Can you update to this from ProtonAOSP 11?

I mean, try? If it doesn't work it will say "unsufficient storage" and abort. Not gonna brick your device.
Excellent work, Dollscythe! Just a note- might be worth it to also credit kdrag0n for creating ProtonAOSP and the subsequent theme engine v12 uses?

Great!! How to update from crdroid v7? Or wipe necessary? Greetings!!
face unlock working?
Just installed this amazing ROM, loving the customisation options. Also, MicroG spoofing support is present. Setting it up, will update on the battery life. Also face unlock is present but I won't be using that.
Thanks for bringing CrDroid A12.1 for our device.

I'm using Mindthegapps with no issues
Installing fresh from stock OOS Android 10 - crDroid gets stuck on the boot animation, and will go no further. I'm using TWRP to flash. Does anyone have any ideas?

Tried with Mindthegapps and when trying to enter my gmail address to add a Google account, I consistently get a crashpad minidump, followed by
08-28 23:04:13.762 2320 18420 F libc : Fatal signal 5 (SIGTRAP), code 1 (TRAP_BRKPT), fault addr 0x76d5b0f9a8 in tid 18420 (ThreadPoolSingl), pid 2320 (.android.gms.ui)
This is after formatting data. Originally the phone had OxygenOS on it, with FBE, in case it matters. I'm not sure if it's safe to post the minidump.
I get the same behaviour with Nikgapps.
Advice welcome.
if someone is calling it is not possible to lock the screen by pressing the power button. has anyone a solution for this?

Can you tell me whether signature spoofing is active by default or has to be activated manually?
Thanks in advance...

When you install MicroG, it should ask you if you want to allow it to spoof signature (like a permission). Incase of flashing via Magisk I guess it was already granted.
This is an amazing ROM.
Hi gwolfu,
Thanks for creating an amazing rom, I use it as my daily driver and really like the massive customization.
On your webpage you state that "We always try to add more and more features with stability and security first in mind.".
With that in my mind, I would like to suggest the following features as inspiration (with references to roms having those features if it is any help to you):
Lock screen shortcuts so you can launch apps and activities quickly. This feature is in Havoc.
When playing media, make the album art fill the entire quick setting-notification. Feature is in Project Xtended.
Make the screen have round corners. It just looks nice 8^). Feature is in Project Xtended.
Possibility to reboot SystemUI under Advanced reboot. Useful when you need to just change something in the user interface. Feature is in Project Elixir.
Toggle to ignore security flags when taking screenshots. Makes it possible to take a screenshot of say banking apps. Feature is in Project Elixir.
When using gesture navigation make a long back swipe launch an app or activity. Feature is in Project Xtended.
Blur background when pulling down quick settings. Feature is in Project Elixir.
