One of the features I am unable to find in Lineage 17.1 is the ability to easily silence my phone when I receive a call.
With HTC Sense inverting the phone silences the ringer whilst picking it up reduces the volume and these are really great options !
Can anyone tell me where these are in Lineage or suggest any apps/mods which will achieve the same since the "Power + Volume Up" option is hardly ideal ?

I may be missing something, but it doesn't appear that you are able to separate ringer and notification volume anymore. This is critical for me, because I am on call 24/7 and need the ability to turn down my notification volume, yet keep the ringer volume on max to wake me up.

Try RingDimmer https://market.android.com/details?id=com.michaelpardo.ringdimmer you can find it in the android market for about a dollar
I found a better app made specifically for the volume changes in ICS

There are very little sound options provided with the UI. I'd like to have a sound, sound and vibrate, vibrate , and a silent mode but it seems sound and vibrate are not possible. The only option I see is the vibrate when ringing option but that's only for phone calls, I want vibration for all notifications.
I'd like to avoid using an app to do this as most phone manufacturers provide this functionality out of the box but if need be, any suggestions? Preferably not an app that has endless options and complexities and preferably doesn't look like android version 1.
thanks!
So, i recently got the D855, put MM stock rom on with root and TWRP, it's a pretty sweet upgrade from my galaxy s3, however I cannot seem to find fine adjustment for volume, even with 3rd party apps rom seems to reset volume to the set increments that volume buttons sit in. Now I'm cool with it being like this for media/notifications but with alarm... its either no volume or HEY JUMP OUT THE WINDOW END IS ENDING volume and up. utterly shocked me in the morning by surprise. wondering if there's any simple way to patch this, or whether if i get CM13 rom it'd let me fine adjust it and just keep the alarm volume lower (i tried stock google alarm too which is enough to wake me up tbh), i just want a quiet soothing tune to wake me up not a call to world war 3...
Other option is to learn to edit sound files to make ringtones quieter for the alarm, which seems like a lot of bother :/
Might be a basic question but I cannot figure out how to manage the volume at my new S9 device senseful.
I had a Sony Z5C before and was able to use all kind of audio controlling/profile apps without any hassle. I ended up using Phone Profiles Plus to control my devices volume.
For Samsung I ran into some problems I'm unable to find a solution for:
switching Volume often (not always) gives me a feedback sound; especially disturbing when switching to some silent mode at a meeting
lowering Volume to "0" using an app like phone profiles always enters "DND"-mode; sometimes I want no sounds but all visual notifications
switching to "DND" doesn't affect the camera shutter volume
I cannot believe, that I am unable to figure out the solution on my own. Hopefully someone can help me out or guide me in towards a solution. Especially the first to bullets are frustrating...
Thanks!
Just wanted to hear other people's experience. For me the volume both on earpiece and especially using loudspeaker, the volume is too high when using fb Messanger and Whatsapp. Yes, even on lowest possible setting, to the point I need to hold the phone away from my ear or cover the holes of speakerphone like 2/3 for it to not be annoying.
Media volume and normal calls volume are fine.
Do you share similar experience or it's just me? I have tried crDroid, HavocOS, LineageOS and other ROMs, am currently on LOS where I think it's a bit better (might be placebo).
Thanks in advance.
