Thanks man. I'm stoked the speed is that high for no AWS or LTE, plus where i'm testing is in the boonies
Can't wait to see this beech fly when I get into the city again. I was actually considering selling this one for the T-Mo variant, but I see no need.
My state doesn't even have LTE and probably won't til I get a Note 3, so these speeds are just as good as I was getting with my T889 :victory:

Yeah, if I were in your shoes, I would wait for the Note 3 also. Which is what I plan to do since I just got the S4 to test out & plan to hand it down to my GF so she can switch to Android from her iP4, when the Note 3 comes out. She tends to use my phone more than hers so I might as well get her own phone so I can use mine.

On my S3 I get from 16mb to 20mb down.
On my S4 I can't get over 14mb.
:/
EDIT: well I just ran it again and I beat the 14mbps barely. Not sure if it's LTE though

This is a much better solution than the other way around as the tmo version has an unlocked bootloader
People on the forums want to do it the other way around... Whhhhhy lol. Wait a couple days and you can walk into a tmo store and get one.

It's only missing Band 5, both models have bands 4, 2, and 17, which are the primary US LTE bands anyway (outside of Verizon's Band 13 that is).
While technically the T-Mobile version is missing Band 30, the AT&T version is missing Band 30 as well.

It dropped already. Mine is on a UPS truck heading my way right now.
The T-Mobile one hasn't been rooted yet, though it apparently has an unlocked bootloader. The AT&T model has been rooted, but it appears the bootloader is locked down. Doesn't that suck?

Ya it does. the pre release t mobile phones were able to be rooted but the patched it already for the phone that are shipping now.
Unlocking the bootloader is harder then rooting for the most part. What im interested in is if the qi charging back from europe are working on the tmobile lg g3....they are not on the att g3. Can you test this!? that would be awesome
The ~35% price difference between US ans UK purchases of Nexus 5X had me thinking about finding a way to get a Nexus 5X from US.
My concern is, will I have any issues with the device, if I use it in a european country (I live in Greece)? For instance 4G not working or other connectivity issues.
What should I be aware of before making that move?
TIA
Greece uses LTE bands 3 and 7, and UMTS band 1.
The US version of the 5X has these so you would be OK in Greece.

Should be the same! I think most of the European countrys use band 1,3,7 and 20
You can see the bands for italy on wiki (I´m not allowed to post links yet so im gonna describe where)
search google for "lte frequency bands italy" and use the link List of LTE networks in europe.
Greetings
You guys have to consider warranty as well as exchanges. Might be cheaper, but in the long run could be more expensive. Don't you guys have 2 year warranties?

2 years here in Italy.
If you don't care about the warranty then I day go for it if the spectrum is there. You won't have a warranty buying an out of market one.

It's a risk for sure, but the price difference I think justifies it. My concern now is whether service centers for LG here in Greece, will service US devices or they'll respond that they have no spare parts for the US model.
That's only if nothing goes wrong. I believe if you look at LG Nexus 5 section you might be able to find your answer if the do cross warranty. Something tells me they won't, because it doesn't work the other way around. From what I have seen people who bought international versions here had to send it to where the device was intended for. Sometimes the importer might give a limited warranty or some sort of warranty plan you can purchase.
