[SM-R810] Question: How to root? - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hello everyone!
I spent alot of time looking for a way to root my GW1 but I haven't been able to find any of it!
I am assuming it is because my search terms arent "clear enough" and are bringing up other watches like the Gear(s) and GWA .
Is there a way to root the GW1 ( SM-R810)?

@linkpuff Search for combination firmware

Somewhere inside this Thread I have answered few times how to root...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/gear-s3/gear-s3-android-wear-port-wip-t3584588
IMHO I have also uploaded few times rooted Firmware...
IMHO also DSL1 as latest "example"...
@linkpuff
If you wish to try...
Simple write your actual Firmware on device...
Easiest way:
Code:
*#1234#
Type like you would call someone... then all Infos about Firmware visible... (to me)...
If you post here.
Best Regards

I took some time to deodex some stock firmwares that I would like to share.

Update log:
CWM Packages (26-2-2011):
Both bml7 and bml8 will be flashed with the Kernel(zImage) from now on. Normally, only bml7 is being flashed , but it seems to me that the device becomes more responsive when bml7 and bml8 are updated, like when flashing with Odin. (The bml7 flashing only is related to HTC and other manufacturers devices which only have one sector in the ROM for the Kernel, Galaxy S has 2 sectors according to the pit files, Primary Kernel and Recovery(Secondary) Kernel).
Odin Packages (17-3-2011):
Odin packages are added.
Odin packages will work optimally with a 512.pit partitioned device, if your device is partitioned with an other pit file, then you need to re-partition to 512.pit file while flashing the device.
I had to choose between:
*Unmodified 3e-recovery with support for all pit files with no CWM support.
and
*Modified 3e-recovery with the ability to use CWM but limited to 512.pit file.
I did choose the second option, because I think that the majority of our members already use 512.pit and would like to have CWM support as well.
Gingerbread (27-3-2011):
No CWM support, uses unmodified 3e recovery

Obviously the purpose of this thread is to make available a set of deodexed, however untouched stock roms. It makes no sense to ask for the inclusion of different lock screens, it's completely unrelated and there are many other threads on that. Wth the deodexed rom from this thread you can easily install any of those other lockscreens, without the hassle you would have to deal with on an odexed rom.

That depends on the software, if they are apks then you can either store them under /data/app or in /system/app, the deference is they can be uninstalled when under /data/app but can not when they are on /system/app
I hope that this is the answer you were looking for.
More deodexed firmwares and the Armani look is uploaded.
Could you post some screen shots of the armani look ? Thx.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
I have already posted three pictures, the Armani look is a plain froyo that look nicer (very nice font), it is a mix of Galaxy S I9010 Armani and Galaxy S I9000 firmwares.

OMG ! I cant believe it....I have almost finished my stock deodexed Rom...and I see this....hahahaha..
Gutted !
Nice work mate !.......how does it run in terms of speed?
I'm using the armani look with changed boot and shutdown animations. Speedmod k13a.
Coming from a kitchen js3 , this rom feels a lot more stable and a bit faster, with the same tweaks and partitions.

I forgot to mention that I've changed the modem to a JPY one because of bad call quality on JK9

Speed is the same as XWJS5, it is a stock JS5 with Armani look.

The reason that I did include JK9 is that it feels to me that the calls are clearer and the sound is higher than other modem roms that I have tried, I have also tried HSPA and WiFi and got better results, but I need more feed back about it, if it is bad then it's easy to change it to a better modem rom.

S9 SM-G960F Combination file request for Native Call Recording on Android 9 Pie

Hello all,
For S9/S9+/Note 9 there is a way to change CSC without root in order to get native call recording option. For VoLTE/VoWiFi enabled the best CSC would be THL Here is the tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78438552&postcount=2011
I have multi-CSM firmware OXM with the CSC list: ACR, AFG, AFR, ATO, AUT, BGL, BNG, BRI, CAC, CAM, CAU, DBT, DKR, ECT, EGY, EUR, ILO, INS, ITV, KSA, LAO, LUX, MID, MWD, MYM, NEE, NPL, ORX, PAK, PHE, PHN, ROM, SEB, SEE, SEK, SKZ, SLK, THL, THR, TPH, TUN, TUR, XEF, XEH, XEO, XEU, XEZ, XFE, XME, XSG, XSP, XTC, XXV. More exactly SAOMC_SM-G960F_OXM_ROM_PP_005 with PPR1.180610.011.G960FXXU2CSA2 and G960FXXU2CRLI
Therefore changing CSC should not be a problem, but I still need a proper S9 combination file. Which is this and where can I find it? Thank you
UPDATE: found combination file for my v2 bootloader https://goo.gl/RLFbkk

Samsung watch active 2 tizen 4.0.0.7 to 4.0.0.8

Hi, anyone knows when ACTIVE2 with "Compilation Number : R820XXU1BTA1 Tizen Version: Tizen 4.0.0.7 Release Date : 2020-01-09" will get Tizen 4.0.0.8?? Thanks!!!!!
You should talk to Samsung...
Yeah I know... not really funny...
With your infos this leads to nowhere... IMHO...
No idea yet... BTA1 are maybe 20 CSC from 60 +
BTG1 for XAR and KOO are 2 from 60 + CSC aka Sales Codes...
IMHO it looks like they focus on Tizen 5.5...
So IMHO more Tizen 4.0.0.8 are IMHO obsolete...
Better you know which active CSC your device have...
So we can check if BTA1 is correct as latest...
And if you can't wait...
You could play with netOdin and BTF3 Firmware...
With changed CSC to XAR or KOO you can jump to BTG1 Binary...
If these are bad infos... feel free to ask Samsung.
Best Regards

ehy @adfree, but if I will change from ITV to XAR, I will lose Samsung pay, right?
Thanks.
Last week a bought a Samsung Galaxy Active2 44mm LTE unlocked version from Best Buy and activated it on Verizon without any problems. Samsung Pay works fine. My watch is still on Tizen 4.0.0.6. When I check for updates it keeps saying that I have the current version. The label on the box says it's version is XAR. How can I check it on the watch to confirm the CSC code? According to the label on the box it is model SM-R825USKAXAR and the box was factory sealed when I got it.
