Any tips to prolong battery life?

I use my phone for maps and GPS a lot because I drive all day for my job. It doesn't even last half my shift (and it's a six-hour shift). Is there any way to improve battery life? It's not rooted.

Well, on smartphones screen still uses about 50% of power and since you have gps on whole time it's normal to have phone last that much what you can do is to lower screen brightness or buy car charger. How much hours does it takes before batery is low?

Well, you can lower screen brightness, and force stop all apps that you don't need to prevent running in background

It's on auto brightness. I need to disable some apps. Like the Metro junk.

Then disable it, also I recommend to.disable auto broghtness it uses more battery too.

does your phone rooted? why dont try greenify?

I stated in the OP that my phone is not rooted.
Should also note that I don't have a custom recovery yet.

First, all smartphones have and will have the problem with battery duration, but it depends on how much do you use the device, and how.
Then, if you're not rooted you won't be able to do much with it.
What model is your LG K10?

Moto G5 battery life

The Moto G5's battery is absolutely dog s*** can't believe that people are getting over a day with this phone. When the phone's screen is off that's when it great. When it's on it's crap!! Help?

Could you share your screen on time? I am still satisfied with battery performance of my moto g5, even though the battery is not large enough and the chipset really consume a lot of power,

Don't know what you're doing but I use my phone non stop all day and right now after I unplugged it at 7am this morning I still have 66% left at 4pm
Obviously if you are playing high demanding games it will drain quicker but Iv been using wifi and apps all day no problems

Here's mine if you want to compare
Get an app which shows wake lock settings - you can see what apps are keeping your phone awake
Iv rooted my phone & use lineageos

Actually, the battery is quite good. Even with stock ROM. Even with .15 ROM (that's what I have right now).
But I have disabled Moto Display and few other things, perhaps this helps a bit.
You should try to find out what eats your battery. In worst case, try Factory Reset.

Yes the battery is **** , I use custom ROMs on my phone with ambient display the battery was **** its the same with moto notification display drains AF I get decent sot of max of 5hrs which is average on stock 4 on los

Also I tested a 1a charger on their g5 the charging is a lot slower but the battery life is much better

Looks perfectly normal to me

With some routers my battery goes down when display off. Solution: wi-fi off when at sleep.

Unknown as you have pulled the stats just after unplugging the phone from power

Don't know if any one noticed but the moto g5 kernel has performance as the default scheduler. Not really the best for battery life at all.

Battery is very good. But I would recommend you do a factory reset after flashing it. It's always good to do a factory reset when coming from an android version to another version for better results in general.

I get about 5 hours SOT, a slight improvement to 8.1 which is not bad for DP3!
Also most of the app crashes and incompatibilities that I had with DP2 are gone or resolved after resp. app updates.
Enjoy the half gestures of DP3

5 hours SOT!!!
That's insane. How much you used to get in 8.1?
Mine barely gives 3.5-4 hours

It's really good, when I'm in the office, from 11 to 7, using the phone for calls and messages at the end of my workday, I'm still having 75-85%. About SOT, as I'm using the phone on almost full brightness every time, at least 90%, I'm getting 4-4.5 hours.

You guys are getting good SOTs, mine here goes down max 3.5 hours with same usage.

On DP3 it's fantastic but I seem to have a strange performance bug where the phone locks up for a few seconds. It gets worse over time with restarts fixing it.

This one's new now. Is it happening randomly or after some tasks are performed?

It's really odd. For the first few days it was fine then suddenly it happened. As for fast charging I haven't actually looked (battery life has been much better). The lock ups have something to with with the UX but I haven't been able to pin-point it.

best non miui rom for battery

Apologies if this has been asked before i could not find anything also afraid to try flashing different rom incase I brick my phone! What is the best custom rom for battery life? I've been using pixel experience pie getting around 6 hours of SOT. I don't game just browse reddit Facebook and what's app was wondering if i could push it bit more than 6 hours

I've recently fallen in love with xtended. Using it with the stock kernel, no games, only some light xda browsing, telegram and some YouTube. I easily get 11-12 hours SoT. You can give it a try.

I've been using AOSiP and have not looked back. its great on battery and buttery smooth.
Or as the other guy said, MSM is really good too

I'd come back with an edit for MSM tho. Yeah, it's nice and i guess SoT is very good, but idle is... Lost 6% in 9 hours first time, then 3% in 5 hours. Even with my deep sleep tweaks and nothing turned on. That's a big no-no for me. So like you said, AOSiP is a really really good choice (IMO at least).

I'll start with the aosip, used it on my oneplus 5t liked it

No, no need for Greenify since i just don't use social media crap apps. Those are battery drainers. I do, tho', tweak the doze settings. Also, i use a different brightness app since the android's one gives too much brightness all the time and i don't really like to adjust it every time i unlock the phone. And the kernel is tweaked a bit, since i don't game much on my phone.

Basically its not applyable to most users. So your screenshot with sot time is very misleading without these details. If you underclock miui, dont use social apps, dont game, and lower your brightness, im sure you'll get something like 14-15h SOT. Because i often get around 10h SOT with miui, without modifying anything, just using phone as it came. And i do use social apps and enjoy an occasional game

I do play games, just not heavy ones. And the brightness is just a little bit lower, at most 10%,the kernel is not underclocked, it's just tweaked so it doesn't jump to high freq for just tapping on the screen. And yeah, social apps do play a big role in that, but only in deepsleep. For SoT, it's the same, I don't use social ones, but I use 9gag,which is known to drain battery, or telegram or WhatsApp so it's basically the same. But everyone's usage will be different. I just recommended a ROM and kernel, I didn't say it's the best or that people will get the same results as me.

Question Power from charger mode?

Hello, does anybody know if this phone perhaps have something similiar to ROG's power-from-charger mode? Like, itll use power directly from charger instead from battery itself?

Abt battery i have nothing to complain. 4G always on due to work n i can use for a day without worrying. Gaming? From 100% playing Arena of Valor for abt more than 4hrs with wifi it still has around 60%. I even turn on the fan when playing that game for nothing xD bc you know what is the best? No kidding but 165W charger is serious fkin fast. U dont even have to charge for the night. Wake up, charge it and go brush ur teeth, wash ur face...and come back. No matter how many percentage u left it will ready for a day long

The only thing u need to worry abt when going to buy this phone is the camera and rom. Camera is just excepted. Keep finding some good and working Gcam and it helps to improve a little bit. The rom is incredibly fast and smooth but u know? Late noti like every china rom. Not too much serious but it's up to u

Sadly we dont have the very fast charging Version. I will go for the 6000mah but even this will be throttled in germany... Only 65watt i think but its okay my s22ultra load for over an hour

I think it will be fine. Mine has a mode which u can auto turn on the fan at maximum power to keep it cool xD nubia well done it

Like i said b4 rom is fast and smooth but nubia keeps it simple as they can so lacks a lot of stuff (or maybe they do it to suit the mainland) and im not quite like it. Just hope that nubia release a global rom for 8 pro+

Yes.... There only one Version with 6000mah and 65watt... But i think the 6000mah is better for long Gaming Theres an "mate" Version 256gb and one "void" with more ram an 512gb

Yes they r better for long gaming but quite heavy too. I used to have Rog 2 with 6000mah battery and my experience is not quite good. It drops on my face sometimes bc of the weight when i gaming or watching movie on bed xD btw asus is gud with their pc things but not smartphone. My Rog 2 gone dead because of the heat from GI eventhough i always play it only 30 mins per days without case, turn on the fan at maximum speed and stay on the room with air conditioner :v
Edit: i also stopped play GI from that time my Rog 2 dead eventhough i have a gaming laptop and now a PS5 :v

And in my opinion, 5000mah battery of pro+ is better. They less heavier, charge faster and they also have that "charging mode". For the "colour" opts i think void is the best. It looks like u have a mini pc with clear case in ur hand

Hmm i've check again so the different is only 2 gram. That's really weird dunno how they can do that
Edit: The pro+ is some how heavier. Maybe bc of the chipset to control the charge. Btw i've read onl that Realme is going to release a new phone with 200w

Global version has it. It's called Charge SEP in the QuickTile Settings.
