Thinking about connecting a cheepo Reverse Camera to my N7
How would I go about connecting it, Will I need one of those 'UVC Video Grabber'?

I have a gx8 and my camera doesnt work any more it has a buzzing sound as soon as I open any app that has anything to do with my camera and it cant focus. Its because I had it mounted on my motorcycle and the vibration killed it. I want to replace it bit its really hard to find a gx8 rear camera here in Germany. Does any one of you know if I can use any other camera for replacement?

I'm new to this, i have an android HU and rear cam installed. Rear cam can only be viewed once you switch to reverse mode. Is there an application that will allow you to view your rear cam even if you are not on reverse mode?

You have to connect power to the camera so it is powered up all the time. In addition, you will need a video splitter to share the camera's input with the head unit default input and another AVI camera input supported by your stereo.
Then you can switch the AVI input on to see what's going on behind you. This will most likely silence anything playing on your stereo while you're watching the rear camera, but it should let you see what's behind you while you're driving.

i actually had this installed and making any changes in the wiring is something that is beyond my capability, is there an app that will allow you to do it? thank you so much for your help markmorto;73145228
No app (that I know if) will control power to the camera. The issue here depends on how the camera is already powered up. The usual method is to get power from the reverse lights, or the head unit, and only power the camera on when you need to use it. You need to know how it's getting its power first.

You can just use na USB DVR camera.
Is there any app for reverse camera Settings? I have Chinese android panel and it's reverse camera settings appeared once or twice initially and now they don't appear to manipulate. Plz help.

hey guys
i am having problems with my camera past 3 months
I bought 2 DVR camera (one is 720p 30fps second is 1080p 30fps) and they both are not working properly. Sometimes it catches up and working for some time, but mostly its not working, camera screen is black or freezing.
Firstly we though that it might be software issue, so i flashed this mod : https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...opment/rom-hal9k-mod-mtcd-head-units-t3623982 (1.3 version)
Unfortunate problem still exist.
Then we though that camera might be facing voltage problem, so we made a additional power 5v 1.5a - for some reason camera was working for 2 days and then still facing problems
Its a 4core 1gb some random MTCD car unit for mercedes w203 based on rk3188

I've bought a Weigav DVR camera several years before but I tried to install it just these days on my MTCB head unit.
I installed its fvcardvr.apk app, but all options are in chinese, I don't understand anything... The head unit recognizes the camera, I can see the live image on the screen, but I cannot record anything on the TF card that I put in the camera.
Could you tell me please with which option need to be formatted the microSD card (FAT or other)? Do you have also an app in english which could be compatible and working well with the camera?

Hello, I was just wondering if external microphones work when using the front camera on the camera app on the S22? I know you can go into PRO mode and use it there but I need to use the front camera with an external microphone.
