Wireless charging, metal plate - Google Pixel 4 Accessories

Hi all, I'm soon to get my Pixel 4, I will have a Spigen Slim Armour case with a small metal plate between the hard plastic and soft rubber part, like I have now on my pixel 2, so I can use a magnetic car holder.
I've read that this can still be used with wireless charging but it depends where the inductive coils are on the phone, I guess the first question is does anyone do this already and if not does anyone know where the coils are in the pixel 4 please?

Magnetic leather cover for the Nexus? Good / bad ?

Hi all,
I just bought a leather cover for my Nexus. Its a sideways flap which flaps on with the help of the magnets (two button magnets on the flap and two on the cover itself).
Altho they're not really strong magnets but when the phones in the cover, all the hardware is in the magnetic field. Will this eventually screw up the components of the phone??
I've a blackberry which has a magnetic holster n the blackberry devices r programmed to behave differently when inside the holster (ie in a magnetic field). So with the blackberry there seems to be no problem so far..
Would really appreciate your views on this....

i-Blason Prime Series Dual Layer Holster Case and TYLT Vu/Qi

Just ordered a couple of TYLT Vus and I’m considering getting the i-Blason Prime Series Dual Layer Holster Case, http://www.i-blason.com/prime-series-dual-layer-holster-case-for-google-nexus-5-by-lg.html, as well. Anyone have this combination and, if so, does your TYLT Vu or Qi wireless charger work with it? Thanks.

I want to say possible no because of the grooves on the back of the case with the addition of the kickstand. With the kickstand alone, I think that would be hard pressed to work with the Tylt Vu. I have a couple of cases i-blason candygel and spigen ultra hybrid and those two work fine. And keeping in mind the coil looks like it's closer to the center of the phone, based on my usage of the Nexus orb. And because the kickstand is right smack in the middle, you may need to remove the case to wirelessly charge.
On a side note, I have heard the case is pretty easy to remove.
For what it’s worth, I didn’t buy this case. I wound up purchasing http://www.maxboostpower.com/shop/m...stand-fits-all-versions-of-google-lg-nexus-5/ instead and the TLYT Vu and Maxboost case with kickstand work swimmingly together and I figured I’d chime in as the i-Blason case appears similar. While I haven’t looked to see if the phone will charge faster if the kickstand is removed, it appears to be charging plenty fast.
I also have another small post regarding the Maxboost case at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557909.
Cheers.

Nexus 5 case that works with the wireless charging and NFC?

Are there any cases that work with wireless charging and NFC?
Does the quick cover case from LG bother you that you cannot see notifications?
Thanks

Spigen neo hybrid / slim armor both work. Also Spigen ultra hybrid , rinken fusion
And you can always use a leather hole puncher to punch a hole in the flip cover

I'm using a Caselogy Slim Fit and the NFC works as well as the wireless charging (tested on Nokia DT-900 and Nillkin Magic Disk)
Ive got a Rearth Ringke Slim on and charge wirelessly with any problems.
Are there any otter box defender type cases that would allow wireless charging?
I am thinking of getting the LG quick cover for when I need a little protection. And a otter box defender like case for when I'm out in the wilderness.
Thanks for all the great replies so far!
I'm using the "Spigen ultra hybrid" case (so it says in the product name) and i'm really happy with it. I can say for sure that wireless charging works with this cover, and it also protects the phone very good when you drop it. (Yes I've experienced it)
All these ones that have reviews here on the forum are capable of nfc charging.

It's going to depend on your charger as well. The Google / Nexus charger won't charge through the relatively thin Spigen Neo Hybrid.
Google states in their troubleshooting information that the case may need to be removed.
Its depends on the charger and the case.
Diztronic matte black TPU.
Thanks everyone.
I will be using the newer Nexus qi charger.
Or maybe the Nokia wireless pillow one.
Which charger is better?
I dont have a problem using the spigen neo hybrid and the official nexus wireless charger.

Nexus 5 Qi Car dock

Hi all,
Just been looking at a few different car docks for my N5 that have Qi wireless charging and come across two which I'm tossing up..
There's the AirDock ($69) which holds the phone via magnets and micro suction foam
iOttie Easy Flex Wireless Qi Charger, ($72) which has the locking mechanism rather than magnets..
Has anyone had experience with either of these two? I'm leaning towards the Airdock, but my next question is, whether the magnets will work through my Spigen SlimArmor case.... wireless charging works fine through it, so I'm assuming the magnets would too..?
TL;DR- will the magnetic mount work through a Spigen Slimarmor case?
I got an airdock myself. And use a Spigen Neo-Hybrid case. The magnets are pretty strong.
And even if they are not strong enough to use with the Spigen Slim armor case. There is a sticker with metal slaps (really thin) wich you could stick on the inside of your case.
Inductive charging will work just fine i recon.
Hope that helped.

That would definitely do it if the internal magnets didn't work too well through the case.. Thanks for your help!

Scoche magic mount

I've been looking at purchasing one of these magnetic phone mounts to use with my Pixel 2 xl. Has anyone used it with a case? Specifically between the phone and the case. I currently have the Otter Box Symmetry case on the phone.
I don't have magnetic, but really like my Scosche vent mount!
I use one with my case and I've found that it doesn't work that great unless the case is very thin. Your best options are to either put it on the outside of the case and ruin the looks of it or buy a case with the magnetic plate built in like the Pitaka case .
I didn't know that there were cases with the metal plate in it. I'll check those out. Thanks
