Hi all,
I've just released MixGet on the Market to fix the headset issue in this thread
Changelog
v1.1:
- New UI, use tab widget in configuration screen.
- Click on the icon to open the configuration screen, to change the profile, click on the radio button or the seekbar.
- Split the Media config and the Alsa config
- Handle video player state to apply the alsa settings
- Enable/disable the alsa auto settings.
- Speaker and Micro in alsa is not available for now.
- minor changes in save/restore presets.
v1.0:
No need to use adb, no need to root your phone.
It will save your "media" volume presets into 3 profiles (E)ar, (D)efault, (B)oost.
Click on the widget icon to change the profile. It also manages the headset low level driver Alsa if your phone is compatible with. Be careful when setting the alsa config if you dont want to hurt your ears .
To install the alsa library (only if you want to try with alsa):
- Enter to the config screen
- Click on Update
- Rename the update_mixget.zip into update.zip
- Reboot in recovery mode
The headset alsa volume is automatically set when the media player is playing or pausing, no need to set it again then.
This could be use on other smartphones if compatible with the alsa library. If you've already installed the alsa manually, check that you've have permission to run it. If not, delete all the files and re-install it with this widget.
Edit: if you have any problem to grab the update_mixget.zip by the widget, you can download it here and rename to update.zip then copy it on your sdcard.

Question
Hi gilsken, and thanks for the app
But what does it do, exactly? Is it just a fix for volume levels?
Or does it automatically apply the settings we have to do manually in the Service Menu; the "fir_coeff" settings, etc?
Thanks again!
Thanks for this! Very much appreciated!

+1. Fully agreed.
Just sum feedback.
I had AudioBoost previously, which installed ALSA. Then I uninstalled it and restarted.
Grabbed MixGet from market. Installed fine.
ALSA slider not functioning.
No button to install ALSA.
No update.zip or update_mixget.zip in /sdcard.
Does this change DiamondSolution crappy coeffs?
How to get this runnin? Remove/reinstall ALSA?

No this does not change the Diamond equalizer but it seems that there is no need to set it if you are under JM2/JM5 (to be confirmed by supercurio)

It basically presets in software the volume media. The most interesting feature is, if you have installed the lib alsa with this widget, you will be able to set directly the headset volume level in hardware by the lib alsa. And it sets it up again automatically when the mediaplayer starts or stops, avoiding to lose this setting.

Yep It seems diamondcrap does not to make a difference for me.
Supplied update.zip worked. Thanks!
ALSA slider functioning. Keeping it around 70 for nice moderate boost.
As a side effect it actually increases amount of static noise.
Gotta do more tests.

Thanks for the explanation man
Nice work too.
Can you run the update.zip with CFlag fix v1.8, or do you have to uninstall it first?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Okay now I'm back after being blown away by the setting, I'm happy to say that this really works wonders. No root needed, no tedious hacking. Installed the update as well. Genius, just pure genius.
When supercurio mentioned that our SGS would be able to give power even to the most demanding headsets, well, he was spot on!
I'm off to listening to some European metal. Starting off with Alcest's latest release.
Works like a charm.
With a better GUI this make a incrdible widget.
Good Bye scriptme!!!!
thanx man, tried to install the zip through rommanager first, no success, then i went to clockwork recovery to apply it this way, also no success, then i renamed the zip to update.zip and used the stock recovery and bam... worked flawlessly. i found such behaviour already multiple times with clockwork, so there must be a bug in there...
One hint. You need to include mixget into the ignore list of advance task killer to keep it working behind scene.
hmm, it is strongly suggested to not use any taskkiller at all... if you have problems use something like auto memory manager that adjusts the memory thresholds of android task management.

Your lib alsa is installed manually but not in the good way.
You have to re install the alsa lib by rebooting in recovery and applying my update.zip

EDIT: SOLVED. Read below under the magenta EDIT: section.
---------------------------------------------------
Followed engine95's rooting guide to root ZV9 LGOG. Initially I sought out to root the LGOG only to turn off the camera shutter sound from sharkboy0901's thread here. But you have to root it first. I've spent over 3 hours trying to figure this stuff out before bothering you guys.
I rooted the device but am unsure if it worked. I went through fiddy619's directions here:
1. Unzip the zip file
2. Make sure USB Debugging is on, and your are in Charge only Mode
3. Run the CurrentRoot.bat, wait for the prompt.
4. Change to MTP Mode
5. Just ignore when your computer asks how to view files on your device.
6. Press enter in the CMD prompt to continue.
7. Done
Click to collapse
And I thought I was set. Checked apps and SuperSU was not installed. Does it have to be? I was confused on what directions needed to be followed after this. By the way, I did install the drivers beforehand. The prompts appeared to work and the phone rebooted but SuperSU was not there.
I opened up ES File Explorer anyway to see if I can edit the file to disable the camera shutter sound. Went under settings to allow "Root Explorer" but keeps telling me, "Sorry test failed. This feature cannot run on your phone." If I can't check that box, I cannot allow it to check "Mount File System" which will allow me read and write permissions to turn the camera shutter sound off as related to sharkboy0901's thread. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
---------------------------------------------------
EDIT:
Solved! All that I needed was a simple restart from my PC. Before I didn't restart after I installed the drivers which I guess was a necessary thing after all. Perhaps some users didn't have to restart but I did. After the restart, ran through fiddy619's directions to root it again (properly this time) and afterward, saw that SuperSU was installed which is also necessary to make sure that it worked.
Opened up ES File Explorer to change the settings to enable "Root Explorer" and "Mount File System" which worked this time without fail... Then went ahead and followed sharkboy0901's direction to change the code to disable the camera sound. Saved the changes.. Rebooted the phone and made sure the sound profile was set to either Silent or Vibrate, snapped a picture, silent! It also disabled the shutter sound in Instagram which is great. (Note: If your sound profile is on to enableall sounds, you will hear the shutter sound.)
Excellent, I hoped this helps someone else.

How about other applications? Is it safe to install other simple apps without dependency on Google Play?
Did you try Torque?
This hack is missing a very important part: how to backup everything and restore to factory state.

Thanks for sharing this knowledge. I tried getting into Engineering Mode in Kia Sorento 2019 using this method and it doesn't seem to work. The local dealer installed Waze and a radio app on it so there must be a way to install other apps as well. Any idea of an alternative access method or what to try next?

It's terrible, I'm warning ⚠ you in my post
so you have 2 ways:
1. Hard: find a good radiomechanic or mobile phone fixer man and give your device to him and show this instructions https://www.drive2.ru/l/523031635092832690/
Than wait...
2. Easy: goes to hyundai dealer and said that "I woked up in the morning, got my, start the engine and saw hyundai logo... It's warranty!"
So, if I'm will be on your place - I'm choosed second way

Hi,
Thanks zavpasha for all the procedure !
Working as a driver, I wonder if an app like " uber driver" could run onto this tablet.
I did the test by launching the .apk and very quickly an error says the package is not compliant.
Versions of this app are available here:
www apkmirror com/apk/uber-technologies-inc/uber-driver/
Question: could it help to setup in developper + debug mode ?
Cheers

Can be installed on Evo X ROM but results to distorted sound.
Works fine. On EU weekly. Have DolbyPlus, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Ultra and Viper4Android.
They all work together without any issues. Dolby Atmos enabled with DolbyPlus does cause distortion. Other then that no problem.
You can find the latest releases under "Android Software Development".

ViperFX I always use as the baseline since its good for tweaking. DTS:X have been a great audio mod so I would recommend that.
But since it's now much easier to install multiple audiomods since ACCB and aml support. You find links and information here. Can install multiple audio mods within minutes.

Xtrememusic I would also consider a good option.
i did follow al the steps above, but how furthers ? i do not see a extra icon dolby in my phone ?

Flash recovery for snapdragon version, i'm using: OrangeFox Recovery is also provided for exynos soc
Please do everything that is written for flashing recovery (Installation), u need to disable encryption and wipe data
reboot when you sure recovery is permanent and check if phone is on "hello screen"
How to boot on recovery first time BEFORE "hello screen":
Uncheck reboot after flash AP recovery in Odin, unplug cable and then push vol - and power -> immiedietly after turn off download mode hold vol + and power and plug in cable -> now should work
Flash GSI image:First you need to download image from here: here or find thread here: click. This images have Google Apps allready included.
Remember to use arm64 with b !
Reboot to recovery
Now u should see on PC when u connect via cable internal memory - copy image to folder, probably should be "Fox" or create new
Touch files, find image
Now select to flash System image
Reboot
And thats it you should boot to system.
Post install settingsOn Phh Treble Settings set:
Samsung features:
Use alternate audio policy
Enable stereo audio mode
Enable extended brightness range
Enable double tap to wake (if u want)
Enable reversed wireless charging (if u want to reverse charge other device)
Enable access to all cameras
Enable extra sensors
Misc features:
Force FPS to [email protected] if you want 120Hz refresh rate display
On camera set expose aux cameras and force enable camera2api
Select Use System Wide BT HAL if u use bluetooth headphones and don't have audio (tested on galaxy buds 2)
Qualcomm features:
select use alternate camera profile if u have trouble with ultrawide photos
Root access on Pixel Experience Plus:
You should first patch boot img from your stock samsung rom what you allready using
U need to select ap tar.img file in Magisk and wait to be patched
Extract boot.img from it after patch
Flash boot img in recovery on boot image
Root stays even if you reflash system on other GSI
Works:
WiFi 2.4GHz and 5GHz
RIL (phone and mobile data)
Bluetooth with bluetooth audio
fingerprint sensor
Google Pay with NFC (you need to pass safynet check if you have magisk)
120Hz display
Camera front and back (you need other camera app for using ultrawide photo)
Fastcharge
Stereo speakers
Galaxy accessories (Watch 4 and Buds 2 tested)
MHL mode
Probably other functions too
Not work/problems:
Netflix have videwine L1 but no HDR content support
Movies only record max on 30FPS on 4K
On the go don't work any of galaxy wearable devices, you need to patch via magisk some files
Clear View cases (phone don't response for open or close case) even on AOD
Some problems with updates for Chrome and web framework (need to install manual newer version)
Device is showing as Huawei Nexus 6P need to be changed somehow to our model
Workaund for Galaxy Wearable and Google Pay:
Magisk need to be in zygisk mode
Flash Universal SafetyNet Fix, here: github download
Install FoxMMM for magisk modules finder here: here, find and install MagiskHide Props Config
Flash this for workaund of wearables: gdrive module download
Now download Galaxy wearables from store, and plugins for your proper device form apkpure or other website.
You need to allow all permisions for apps first
Try to find your watch and pair it, you need to be fast to accept all pop ups - u dont need to login to samsung account , for me got it after 2-3 try, you should see "prepairing device" etc.
For galaxy buds should be easier just find it and pair.
Google Pay works out of the box after installing this modules
Get better sound and equalizer:
If you want to have better audio - you need to flash magisk module ViperFX
Download here: click here on github
Flash via magisk
Uncheck legacy mode for work
@hunter3000
Greetings. Since this appears to be a "guide," I have changed the thread designation accordingly.

@hunter3000 i think you can change the model number in the build.prop if im not mistaking
Hi, can i flash it like the offical pixel experience? Because the offical one is a zip file and this one not
this is GSI style rom, not specific ROM for specific model, so you must flash it by twrp or by fastboot command. Like universal rom for all phones than have project treble.
Thanks for support
Im looking to xda everyday for a stable pixel rom

Majority of GSI are stable but you will have bugs tho. Like either bad battery life or camera isnt working
On this build all functions is working, for camera ultrawide support you need 3rd party app like OpenCamera.

you must disable encryption to boot to non official rom, so you got answer for your question
Master, any solution to this ? "Device is showing as Huawei Nexus 6P need to be changed somehow to our model ", and Call Recording is working on this version ? many thanks for your hard work to G990B version.
This device showing is related to magisk safenet fix for working root with NFC and banking apps but probably also because of GSI rom as is. No call recording as is stock Pixel Experience ROM u need to root and use some magisk module.
Works great on my Samsung s21fe just charging.. sometimes works then other times says it's charging and then does down. Doesn't really go up unless phone is off.
May I know if VoWifi / VoLTE works?
