Hello everyone,
I've needed to replace a motherboard for a friend of mine, bought on Aliexpress, installed but no matter which fw version I install, it starts the Knox Enrollment procedure after entering any internet source.
Motherboard works fine, GSM signal too. IMEI checked on imei.info, confirmed to be an S9.
Factory data reset missing both from recovery and General management.
In Settings>About Phone>Software Information is present "Knox Configure" it tells me that "Your phone is configured for Samsung Electronics UK" with phone number and email. Latest profile applied: RDU S9.
Firmware downloaded from Frijia.
DrParser mode, in usb settings is missing ADB. Ther's only "rndis+acm+dm".
Q1: If someone put personal information in this phone (photos, accounts and so on) are visible from the owner of Knox account with motherboard's Imei binded in?
Q2: there's a way to fix this issue?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi!
Problems:
1) Serial is 000000000000000, although IMEI and IMEI/SV is ok.
2) Out of service network state, although network is detectable.
Solution:
Ariza Patch.
I know I've given the solution, but everytime I have to reinstall a ROM I have to do this over and over again which bothers me, besides having a serial number is better than 000000000.
The thing that caused this was a google app named swapper. I believe it stored the swap file on the partition of the EFS.
The phone's EFS was fixed by some technician, but unfortunately the serial was not.
No, I do not have a backup of EFS to restore. I only figured that out after this happened.
Other apps used to diagnose:
Check FUS - it says on "Product Code" as "Not Active"
CSC Select - played with a bunch of CSC codes to change, still no luck.
Galaxsim - shows my real serial number but phone is already unlocked.
Any suggestions would really be helpful aside from sending it back to Samsung Service Center and restoring a backed up EFS which I apparently don't have.
Thank you!
Ive this problem too

I just loaded a custom ROM on the nexus 7 2013. In the fast boot screen there is information pertaining to the device such as
product name, Variant, Bootloader Ver, etc. There is a serial number also listed. The device is wifi only. I am curious if the serial number would have any merit in locating the device in the event it were lost or stolen and someone were to log into their Google account, create a new Google account, and access the internet. Would there be a way or a service that could find out the ip of the people who stole/found this device via the serial number? Or what is a recommended way of protecting the device and relocating it?

Search for Android Device Manager on the Play Store. It might be what you are looking for.
My device is Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, updated to Kitkat version, 32gb. I received free copy of Kaspersky android anti virus with pre bundle software with purchase of device. I accidentally tried to disable Kaspersky Security from device administrators & it caused to "Lock" down of my device by Pin code, which I don't know. WiFi & data packet service is disabled so no internet connection can be made to device. But can receive call & but can't open sms to read. I have my valuable 20 gb data in it which I didn't back up. I request you to please help me out so that I can remove pin or reset my pin or disable this service without making warranty void or formatting my device. My tab is in stock condition (unrooted) but I don't remember that USB debugging option is activated or not. I don't want to root nor format my device. I am not getting "Forgot Pin" option which helps to reset device via Google sign in.
My plan to recover is to get wifi/data connection activated so that I can lock down device by custom password from Android Device Manager & get it reopen. This will save me valuable data & prevent me from hard reset. I am from completely non technical background but is ready to learn & perform as per guidance.
"I plead/beg you to please help me out asap & activate my wifi/data connection."
Looking forward towards your cooperation & prompt reply.
I have received a p607t tablet, it was flashed by smb. to p905 firmare (with no imei). i re-flashed it with stock P607TUVUBOI2 firmware (4 files, so-called "service" firmare), imei is back (to what is printed at the back-side) but mobile networking *still* doesn't work: no connection. I'm using not t-mo sim-card, but looks like the tablet was already unlocked
From service menu *#0011#:
SERVICE : LIMITED
NETWORK : UNBLOCK
IMEI Certi: PASS, 1
From Advanced Signal Status:
Carrier:
Network Type: Unknown
Signal info: n/a
Neighboring CID: no neighboring cells --- wtf? >> other devices work ok with this sim in lte and 3g modes<<
GSM service: emergency calls only
GPRS service: disabled
Any ideas?
OK, so, what is done with p607t to the moment:
1) reflashed CP (modem/RF??) to latest stock (P607TUVUBOI2)
2) reflashed AP/PDA (core system??) and CSC (consumer stuff??) to P605XXU1EOI5 (from p605, have one right here - it never had network-lock from factory)
3) using qpst and qxdm changed nv parameters (extended lte bands, enabled gsm rf-bands - there were none in stock at all, only wcdma)
now the tablet sees my local gsm network with this sim-card, signal is 4/5 bars, but still no internet connection - WTF??
p.s. when trying manually to register in my local network - it fails with "try again later"
p.p.s.: what is i find weird, in service menu *#0011#:
NETWORK : UNBLOCK
- this line exists only on p607 - is this the key?
Then, i insert this sim into p605 (completely stock P605XXU1EOI5) - it works like a charm
need some help - where to dig next? point direction plz
UPDATE. i've been tweaking 607t nv items with qxdm, making it alike that ones 605 has. practically everything is alike now, but still it doesn't even try to establish data connection with cell...((
btw, 605 does not have "esf embedded file system", while 607t has one (can be seen through qpst-esf explorer)
also, some nv-items present in one model, some present in another

I had to flash back to the original kitkat firmware and take OTA to upgrade to lollipop. There is a known issue with the 607t losing data after roms are flashed. Some had luck with flashing the same rom twice but it never worked for me. Used Sam mobile to pull original and went from there. Good luck
I performed "device init and reflash" with Keis. The device is back to stock completely, except:
- nv items data
- esf embedded file system data
so... my guess - i need to restore these in order to have mobile networking working.
could someone post a qcn-file with factory esf-data?
ok, let's take another way: how can i get some gsm-module debug-output or log to understand, what's going on it?
i'm trying to write some custom modem.bin to /dev/block/mmcblk0p2, but after reboot data in there is reverted to stock modem.bin - how come?? is that bootloader doing? where is the stock-one stored?
Hello all
I'm using a Redmi Note 8 pro with the latest Android 10 update.
I was having network issues so I entered into test mode and just ran ping test a couple of times.
Then the page said that in order to change the settings you must reboot and I did. After that my phone stopped showing the second SIM card.
I went to test mode again but phone information 2 was missing.
I checked my IMEI number from the dialer by entering *#06#
I can see only one IMEI number being displayed, the IMEI number of the second SIM slot is missing.
I tried to input it manually using MTK Enginner mode but the CDS information option under connectivity settings is missing.
I've not rooted the phone or ever unlocked the bootloader
Below are a few screenshots.
I'm in a very terrible condition as service centres near me are all closed due to Covid 19 lockdown
Can anyone help me out regarding this problem and tell me a fix ???

A factory data reset did the job and the phone now shows both SIM cards.
Everything running perfect now
