TCL U75C7006 Stuck in Burn-test mode (loop) - Philips, Sony, TCL Android TV

Hi!
The TV was not mine to begin with so I don't know how it got in this mode, but i suspect that the last owner was fiddeling with the service mode settings(I bought it as defect by an insurance company)
So. As soon as i plug in the TV it loops the colors Black, White, Red, Blue, Green. No response to any buttons on remote/TV, ONLY the powerbutton. But that rarely. I need to press the powerbutton many times so it responds.
I tried many key combinations, Input + power, menu + OK etc etc. I tried spamming everything, no response.
I wanted to try to get the TV to reflash android software by plugging in USB with android 8.0 and pressing power while plugging in, but no response, the USB led lights up on the usb stick but the TV doesnt show if it's reflashing or not. it just loops the colors.
I tried leave it on, maybe the test ends by itself and goes to normal, but after 15-20 minutes the TV turns of by itself. no help
Any idea on what I can do? can I factory reset it in another way?

How much did you pay for it?

Universal Died while upgrading

hi
i was upgrading my universal, following instructions from http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Helmi
after upgrading, on my computer i received an error saying the upgrade was unsuccessful and now my universal is dead
i tried hard resetting, i tried putting it into bootloader mode...
there is nothing on the screen
what should i do?
have you ever entered BL before? most new users would not realise their in BL as it doesn't have any backlight. look closely
yes, i have, it isnt working at all, there is nothing on the screen
when i try to flash the device the pc says error 101 connection error
does your charge light appears when connected to AC power?
nope, no charge light
its sad just about 3 hours ago my device was working perfectly
here's what you do:
start activesync on your computer.
Go to connection settings and deselect allow usb connections.
connect your uni to your computer and push the backlight + on/off button and hold these. Then press the reset with your pen, still holding the backlight and on/off.
The screen should say something about serial or usb.
The backlight will not be lighted so it's hard to read.
If the screen doesn't say anything, unplug and plug in the usb connecter one more time.
Does your red charge led lit when you put it on the wallcharger ?
i tried that, many many times, screen still remains blank
nope, no red light when i plug it into the wall
this is bad, its not responding to anything
When plugged, does it give you a red blink (Charge light) when you Soft Reset?
yes!
yes, the first sign of life, when pluged in via usb to the pc, when i soft reset i get a red blink
any ideas?
Try holding down Light + power for at least 5sec. and while still pressing, do a soft reset.
If you dont go to BootLoader then try to increase the Hold down Light + Power some more.
And BTW. dont get stressed, keep cool.
Youl just **** it even more up if you get stressed, Ok
k, i just tried that, everytime i let go fo the soft reset button the pc says the usb device is not recognized, but still nothing on the screen
lol yeah ur right
thanks for the help
NP. now run the original upgrade for your device...your device is in boot loader right?
nope no bootloader, the screen is completely blank

Look closely, it wont have backlight on, so look really closely.
Remove the SD card and Sim, and just keep trying different time intervals with the "holding down Light + power for at least 5sec. and while still pressing, do a soft reset."
And if you had low battery when you started the upgrade, the use your Wall charger, not USB charger...and let it stay in for 1/2 hour before proceding.
Keep us updated
i removed the sim and sd, and have tried many different intervals, i charged the device all night last night with teh wall charger, still no luck
Hmmmmm, this is a bit strange.
The exact same thing happend to me some 5 days ago.
I managed to get it back with this trick.
Try Soft Reset between every try....just hang in there suddently it wil come to life
Do a ATX-reset/Destat.
Remove charger, battery etc and push in on/off button for 30sec twice. Then push down as many keyboard buttons as you can for a little while too. This way you "drain" it and everything should be reset. Try again.
Works especially well on computers that don't wanna POST. Same thing with cellphones, TV's, remotes etc.
ATX-Reset/Destat. Remember that one. Can solve loads of glitches.
How do I know?
Don't ask I work with these kind of issues every day.
i just tried the atx reset destat idea, it didnt boot it up
ive tried many different intervals now, ive spent hours trying to get this to work
bosjo were u connected to the pc while trying to get it into bootloader?

Screen dead after PS3 charging attempt

Hey guys
a friend of mine tried to charge his TD from his PS3's USB port. Sadly, this has ment that the screen will now not work at all - completley dead. The phone however, does appear to be working properly but there is no way to confirm this (i.e. it will vibrate etc and make various sounds). It also doesn't seem to respond when plugged in to a PC's USB port.
I've tried a hard reset but this doesn't seem to do anything....
Any ideas?
I charge it off the PS3 all the time; it's only a standard-power USB port so it's not the problem, it's your phone.
Try the following:
- Remove the battery and drain residual power by holding the power button for a few seconds. Leave for a few minutes.
- Plug in to an AC power source, wait 30 seconds, and try turning it on.
- Try going into bootloader (hold vol. down on boot). If you get there, reflash a stock ROM (including radio) and try again.
- Do you feel the vibration on power up? If not, the screen is not the problem.
- If it is the screen, wait until you know it is turned on, then put light pressure in various places on and around the screen. If it flickers at any point, it's a hardware problem.
- If you really can't get anything done, you'll have to take it to a repair shop and get a diagnosis or call HTC / your provider / your insurer.
All the best

[Q] Galaxy Tab S - LED Flashing - Won't turn on

Hi, was wondering if anyone else has/had similar issues?
Got the Galaxy Tab S today and was spending time setting it up. Connected to the PC and charge was at about 57%. Suddenly the window displaying tablet contents on the PC disappeared and the screen went black.
The power button didn't turn the screen back on. I held it down, thinking that it required a hard reset but nothing happened. I disconnected the tablet from my pc and went to use it's dedicated charger. The battery icon came up, stating it was 57% charge, and shortly after the LED light on the back of the tablet started flashing rapidly. I quickly took out the cable.
I've tried holding down the home key, volume down, and power button and nothing happens. I then tried the same and having a finger on the screen. Then I repeated the process again with the cable connected to the charger, and then computer.
No matter what I try, the device won't turn on and the LED keeps flashing repeatedly when connected with usb charging cable. I also tried using another cable.
I'm thinking of phoning up where I got it from tomorrow and asking for a replacement, unless there's something I'm missing here?
Any thoughts would be great, thanks.
My guess would be, you are not pressing the buttons correctly.

I tried that just now. Nothing happens.
How about pressing power, vol up and down, home huttons at the same time for 1 minute

That doesn't work either. The only response I get from the tablet is by plugging in the charging cable and then it goes on to display an epileptic inducing light show with the LED constantly flashing on and off

Never seen this problem before. Could be a bad partition making it not boot. Replacement may be your answer as its better to get a new one and be safe.

I've used various tablets before and never encountered any of them not booting at all. The led flashing business is very weird. I'll phone up the store I got it from and ask if I can get a replacement.
Thanks for the responses

Philips 55PUS8700/12 in color test mode loop

Hello everyone,
I thought I was technically sufficient, being an engineer, but apparently I only know about physics and the world of electronics is lost on me.
so my tv, a philips 55PUS8700 was not starting up correctly and in a frenzy of utter frustration I smashed some keus on the remote.
Now it’s in a loop, flashing alternating colours green red and blue and bright and dimmed white which I read is a colour test mode. Now I also read it should do this once, however, it’s a never ending loop that I cannot get out off. Tried the obvious things like powering off, waiting, various key combinations but the set is not responding as I would like. Is this a problem perhaps with the eprom (don’t laugh at me, I’ve been reading various dubious sources), or something else?
Hi,
try to access the recovery mode ...
- pull power cord
- press cursor on the back of your TV down and hold it down
- while pressing down, reconnect power cord
- still hold it for at least 5 sec
- recovery should start

Thanks for the reply, but unfortunately I had already tried this several times to no avail.

Tcl u65x9006x1 dead

Hello
I think i f#cked up and gain an new dart target.
So, i had an eletric problem that shuts down the power a few times.
Betwin the power shuts the tv was on.
After the tv starts to behave like this:
Turn on, show tcl logo, and goes screen off (back light on), when i touch any button (remote or local) it show the gear with the red cross and reboot.
Other times same behaviour, but before goes black it shows the android loading animation.
So i thinked, ok something went wrong, i grabbed an pkg file (at this time i dnt know which one) put it on a pen, on port usb 2.0, and rebboot tv holding power button... Its show update bar.
After a while screen went black, waited 30min, nothing... So i did a reset, removing power.
Since them when i power on, the white led goes on, and nothing more.
Tried power cycle.
Tried power cycle holding power button while off grid, while pluging it in etc.
Tried a bunch of diferent img zip pkg files, and nothing.
I suspect it will be necessary to jtag the SoC... Hope no...
So two point
1) where to find an main board to buy on europe, in case i need a new one... And part number if anyone has open is tv.
2) is there anything i can do at this moment? Recovery? Etc
Thanks you all
Hello,
After send it to repair shop, and a two week work, there is no solution.
Even bootload is dead.
Need new motherboard board.
Anyone know the part number and where to buy? (or campatible tv models)
Thanks
