So I've recently tried upgrading from CM12 to a couple of different ROMS based on CM13 (Tamasek and Purity). With either rom I find that when I try to watch purchased Youtube videos I get an error of "This video is not playable on this device". I posted a message here as well as contacted google support and got some interesting feedback. In short Google stated that cyanogenmod stopped supporting DRM with CM13 and as such CM13 and CM14 will not play purchased videos from youtube or any other service.
My question is this. As being able to play back my purchased videos is somewhat a core feature that I need is there a Marshmallow rom out there that supports this type of playback, or am I SOL? From here on out when I want a new version of android I'll need to buy a new device?

My galaxy tab S 8.4 Wifi (T700) running on LineageOS 14.1 OFFICIAL (from LineageOS website) and nano opengapps won't show hd on netflix. Do you know why ? Was working fine on stock 6.0.1 and i didn't notice troubles on AOSP 6.0.1
Here's the things i've got using Netflix's example : BITRATE : 750kbps RES : 512x384 PAR : 4:3
I have also selected highest quality i netlfix's settings and i can watch in 1080p on youtube and on netflix on my laptop.

That's because Netflix decided that it will stream HD content only to a narrow list of Android devices, and only when they run a stock ROM. Solution? Dump this stupid and very arrogant streaming service. There are alternatives.
I am using Redmi Note 6 Pro to cast screen to Vu 43" Ultra HD 4K tv. But the wireless display function isn't working. I've observed this problem with my previous devices that are Redmi 4, Redmi Note 5 pro. The only app I've successfully used to cast media is " All Screen (Chromecast, DLNA, Roku, Fire TV) " by Aryabhata Labs which can be downloaded from Play Store.
This app can only cast media to TV not the whole screen itself. I've read at many places about this problem, but there's no solution available for this. I've successfully casted screen of Vivo phone to the same tv. The only problem is with Redmi Series phones. I don't think the problem is at VU TV's end.
Somebody please provide a solution.

as per my knowledge, its the issue with Android version. I could cast seamlessly with MIUI 8&9 versions and Android Marshmallow & Nougat.
My Mi Max which is running MIUI 7 with Marshmallow is connecting Vu TV perfectly.

Could u plz explain if u r facing the same problem as me. I have chromecast and am able to cast to my tv but i cannot get fullscreen like when i use my samsung
phone to cast. If u have chromecast have u tried using google home app? While this enables full screen casting in some cases there are many issues in most cases.

I do not have Chromecast. I've only tried casting my android screen to tv.

imagine i have installed MX Player latest version in both honor and Samsung mobiles

I have 2 Xiaomi devices and meet a problem.
1. Redmi Note 9 Pro can stream FHD on both Netflix and Prime Video.
2. Mi 10T Pro stream FHD+HDR on Netflix. But Prime Video only give SD quality.
Already reinstalling the apps several times and tried sideloading older Prime Video apps to the device. None changed.
What's happen with Mi 10T Pro ? Do you experience same problem ?
Yeah, somehow they've broken hd on prime. Ive read somewhere that they're working on a fix...
