Phone is off and only vibrates in loop - Nokia 5.1 Questions & Answers

Hello!
my phone is turned off and unresponsive, it just vibrates once every 20 seconds for some time then stops.
The phone can't:
- be turned on
- be turned on in boot menu, factory reset and fastboot
- be connected to pc (it connects and disconnects immediately at every vibration)
I kindly ask you, do know of any solution for this problem?
Thank you very much

Ive got the same problem, tried reflashing but have not found good da file.
If anyone knows where to get one, that would be great.
Thanks

[Q] Huawei Ascend P1 stuck on boot screen?

Hey there,
today my Huawei Ascend P1 got stuck on boot screen by itself, left it on the table and when I picked it up there was only a black screen with Huawei logo, and nothing else. I tried to turn it off - didn't work, tried pressing down button and power button, tried connecting it to the computer, but nothing seems to work, it's just stuck there and I didn't even do anything. Anyone knows what the problem could be and how could I fix it please?
Thank you very much!

Hi! Just spent hours searching the Internet for that answer, too. Stumbled upon it in some obscure thread somewhere, but it works! Well, for me it works... Here's what you do: press and hol all buttons (volume up, down and power) at the same time. At some point the phone will go turn itself off and you can then restart it. Hopefully it will start in a normal and unwacky way. Mine did!

Hi!.. ive done that but still nothing on my [phone..stil get stuck on the logo
Hi there,
i have the same problem. My phone is "trying" to boot but restarts until it gets to the Huawei-Logo. To make it worse the battery semes to be so low that it can't even start without a power supply.
The thing with my phone is, I have rooted my phone and put on a recovery (TWRP) + a custom firmware (Unofficial Lollipop). With that comes the problem i can't charge while my phone is off but i can't even get in recovery.
I tried to get it in fastboot and it worked. Then i tried to boot via fastboot (only to get it somehow to charge) in a live recovery with
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
The output on the terminal was this:
Code:
downloading 'boot.img' . . .
OKAY [ 0.233s]
booting. . .
OKAY [ 0.003s]
finished. total time: 0.238s
After that the logo was still there for a little bit until it continued to get stuck again in this "boot-loop" .
So i don't now how do bypass this problem to charge my phone again.
I would really appreciate a quick response on how to fix this problem or would it possible that i unplug the battery of the phone to charge it manual .
(I am aware that I have to disassemble my phone to get to the battery)
If there is any open question feel free to ask, I hope i can answer it.
you have not accomplished anything?

So i found the fix that worked for myself. To add something that i forgot to say in my answer above, i had to disassemble my phone because the screen had a big crack, so i ordered a replacement screen and replaced it. The thing is you have to disconnect the battery from the mainboard to replace the screen. After replacing the screen i assembled my phone back together. After that the "bug" above appeared so it took a while to find whats wrong. And for me the problem was that the battery cable that connected my battery with the mainboard was not correctly attached. So it took me a few tries to get it to work, but then it finally booted. Well the OS was broken but that's a other story. Try it, check your connection between the mainboard and the battery (I also had tried to charge the battery manual).
Hope that works for you too.

[HELP]Xperia S absolutely blank[BRICK]

Hi guys,
I was working on a fix for my rom. I made it, went to CWM and flashed it. Then rebooted and evrything was absolutely fine. Then I rebooted into to wipe cache and dalvik cache and did both successfully. When I rebooted, my phone got stuck at SONY logo. I held the volume up and power button for around 5 sec but the phone did not vibrate once. It did not vibrate at all. Instead the SONY logo slowly disappeared and the phone went to a blank screen( NOT powered off ). Then it automatically powered off. Then I tried flashmode, no luck. Nothing for fastboot too. Trying to power on/soft-reset/hard-reset is of no use. The phone does nothing.
I checked the soft brick thread . It said that hard reset will lock up the phone until the battery dies. But I did not do a hard reset at all.
Any help will be appreciated.
EDIT:- Flashtool says that phone is connected with USB debugging off. Nothing happens when I connect my phone to a wall charger too.
Thanks,
abcdjdj

The guide says that after charging for some time, the red led should appear. But my phone had around 80% charge when this incident occured. Anyway, I have kept it for wall-charging now.[NO LED light appears - nothing just blank]
if charging does not help , letting the battery die out might bring the fone out of bootloop

I am quite sure that it is not a hard brick so I will just wait. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks for your help
Have been charging the phone since around 3 hrs now. Still nothing. Should I continue charging it or should I just wait till the battery drains? Also, I think that removing and re-inserting the battery should work but I am scared to do that.
Please help me guys..:crying:

You said you tried hold VolUP+Power... Have you tried VolUP+VolDOWN+Power at the same time? Hold for like 5 sec or more...

SUS is for locked bootloader and anyway that also requires flashmode ( green led ). My phone is absolutely dead. Tried EMMA for unlocked bootloader, but still phone refuses to go into download mode ( green led ).

I had a similar problem. I rebooted my phone after wiping system, and the phone just showed a black blank screen. I just held VolUP+VolDOWN and then held Power too. After, I felt a vibration and released the buttons and the phone rebooted so I could get back to recovery TWRP. There I used adb to solve the problem.
Maybe you should just wait to your phone completly discharge... And then charge again.

You must have actually pressed vol up+power only. One vibration means a soft-reset. Yes, I am waiting for the phone to get completely discharged. Following this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33032165&postcount=2
" You need to leave the phone on a charger to see when the battery dies. " That's what I am doing. Thanks for your help.
Has anyone tried this tool - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173363
Also, are there any other tools which can completely rebuild the bootloader and all other partitions?
There is a Qualcomm tool for your device, u tried that?

Not booting

I've been searching through the forums for a while now and I've not found a fault like mine unless I've just completely missed it but I have an xperia play now when I got it, I was told it was dead but when I connected the usb cable it lit up with the amber light and when I press the power button I get a short vibrate but nothing more. Nothing comes on screen and the sony PC companion keeps popping up telling me that my xperia play is connected and it continues to do so every 10 seconds or so until I disconnect it, the sound it makes when a usb device is connected and disconnected can get rather annoying after a while.
I tried reflashing it but that didn't work, I flashed it most recently with R800_4.0.2.A.0.79.ftf and before that with Xperia Play_Release_Generic UK.ftf but nothing seems to change it, at first I thought it could be hardware that was failing like the screen had died but that wouldn't explain it connecting and disconnecting from the laptop every 10 seconds or so and also in the past 2-3 weeks that I've been messing around with it, I've had the screen come on twice but I can't replicate what happened to make it work, it just seemed to come on randomly, I have however managed to kill it the same way each time by sliding the phone open and pressing the power button to lock screen, each time I pressed it with the phone slid up, it killed it back to no screen coming on and it connecting and disconnecting.
I can enter fastboot and tried to flash a kernel but it told me the phone needed to be rooted to do so and I can't find a guide telling me how to root it without having to change settings on the phone, which I can't do.
If anyone has had this problem before or can help it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Is it flashtool telling you that you need to be rooted? If so then your bootloader isn't unlocked.

Yeah flashtool is telling me that when I'm trying to flash a new kernel. I assumed that the bootloader needed to be unlocked to enter fastboot? or that's at least what I've read while searching for a solution. Can it be unlocked without having to do anything on the phone?

Ace II X bricked!

Hello guys! I couldn't find the answer on any other thread, so here I am.
What I did: I tried to flash CM 11 many times, but the wifi never worked. So searching for a fix I found this, and after changing the needed file I rebooted the phone. The phone got stucked on the SO logo screen for about 20/30 min and then I decided to reboot it again (OK, stupid idead :silly. But it never booted! If I plug the USB cable, the phone enters on a boot loop. If I don't, the phone even turns on. And in neither way I can enter on recovery mode or download mode. So I can't flash the ROM again. I tried many button combinations and nothing worked. I really don't know what to do! Need some help here
I appreciate any efforts to help me bring my phone back. Thanks!
Fixed!
After much tries I got to fix my phone :victory:
Here's what I did:
Took off SIM, card and battery;
Plugged the phone on computer;
Entered in download mode (VOL DOWN + POWER BUTTON + HOME BUTTON);
Flashed stock ROM via Odin.
I tried the download mode many many times. You need to have a little luck to get it. Hope this help someone!

Hard bricked? Bootloop can't get past bootloader unlocked warning

Flashed back to stock and wiped everything few days ago. Today all of a sudden I can't get past the bootloader unlocked warning and the OnePlus logo flashes for a split second then it keeps doing this repeatedly. I also can't switch off the phone because the power button doesn't seem to do anything and I also can't boot into recovery. Fastboot works but that doesn't last long either, it exits fastboot mode on it's own and goes back to the bootloop again, also during fastboot all the buttons are unresponsive. The phone is not detected when connected to a PC during this bootloop, but if I do try to boot into fastboot mode and then plug it in the phone shows up as QHUSB_BULK for a split second and disappears.
As of now it's been doing this for over two hours. What are my options? Thanks for any help in advance.

As I am someone with the highest levels of skill, I believe I will be able to assist you with the powers of Google.
This exact same scenario happened to me a couple weeks ago, but for different reasons. (I flashed magisk on a non magisk compatible ROM) This guide over on the OnePlus 3 forums helped out a lot. Just keep in mind the mini version probably won't fix it for you, only the full one fixed it for me. Probably should do the same. Reason I say is because when I did the mini, it did boot up ish, but the logo was all faded and wouldn't let me get to recovery or fastboot. Also it showed up as 900E in device managed instead of QS 9008. This made it so I couldn't use the tool to flash it anymore, for some reason. I forgot what I did to fix it from there, but don't do what I did .

Yeah I saw this exact thread on the OnePlus forums, thing is I can't get it to power off at all. The power button is completely unresponsive even after holding it down for more than 40 seconds. I'm just going to give it another shot once it dies on its own, hopefully one of those methods will work. Thanks anyway though.

Sorry for replying old post. I have been facing this critical scenario for last two days. The phone never turned off, always looped through unlock warning. No, button working. Can you please share , what about your findings at the end ??
