how to make rom from source code?

This is what we need, developers! It would be epic if we could get together and make a good ROM because Lenovo's ROM is terrible! We need to grab the attention of big custom ROMs like CyanogenMod and Pac-ROM.
I really hope we can make something for this tablet!

For tweaking kernel related parameters, which app do I have to use brother? I ussualy use kernel adiutor. Can I use it for this rom?

yu know wat tarun, i used carbon 4.4.4 as a daily driver since.. m still using it.. yu are fond of making new roms and updating old ones rarely.. no offence.. just a request.. im using ur carbon as always and i request yu to keep this rom ur main rom and keep updating it as yu did in kitkat.. yu made kitkat stable til rc7.. i expect same here.. thnk yu

I am a stalker now, ROM stalker you can say,
Carbon KK -> CrDroid -> Nameless -> Euphoria -> Carbon LP
=> This ROM is even better than your Euphoria, I liked the Tab style settings accessible with only a slide. :good:
=> I tested everything and was satisfied with everything. This ROM is smooth and stable than any other OS.
=> The disable HW buttons doesn't seem to be working, but I don't care coz I prefer the HW keys more.
=> I didn't get any WhatsApp force close till now, which is gr8.
=> The kernel is also sweet and simple. and Guys turn on MP Decision to fix the MAX CPU varying and heating at start. It is not enabled by default.
I don't care if you don't update the others, kindly keep updating this. I will wait.

R1 has stock kernel bro so minimal things you tweak with kernel

frankly that happened in KK no in lp i m updating roms turn by turn no i wanna get a stable kernel setup for all three roms n will just update with armani-devs kernel

I'm extremely surprised by the smoothness of this rom better than expected..To be honest i really don't care about your other roms but please keep this updated!

No I Dont think dirty flash will work with this! Please Try doing clean install to avoid bootloops.

I did Advaced wipe ( data,cache,delvik,system) , and then installed rom, supersu both, but still getting bootloops// please help.. i m new in redmi 1s.

Don't install anything along with this ROM only flash ROM and then let it boot completely after that again reboot to recover and flash gapps..don't install SU zip..download super su from play store and follow the procedure..!!

[WIP] [DEV] [CAF LINUX 4.4 KERNEL] Porting upstream CAF 4.4 Linux kernel to gemini

Hi all
I have been started to work on gemini for two weeks (switched to gemini development from my old phone Galaxy W)
I didnt get the device yet (but will get it as soon as possible, probably in 2 weeks)
However i started to work on it, and i really wonder "upstream linux kernel 4.4 can be ported to gemini? and why not?" after i saw CAF added msm8996 (our device's chipset family) support into Linux 4.4 kernel
As you already know our main kernel version is 3.18 right now,
Whats the benefit of 4.4 kernel:
-Nearly thousands of changes which some of them are bugfixes and some of them are new sweaty kernel features :good:
-Better power management
-Better memory management
-More secure (vulnerability fixes)
- And so on
So i started to work to port CAF 4.4 into gemini
- i just forked CAF pure,vanilla 4.4 kernel which support msm8996
and started to add xiaomi mi5's drivers + device specific changes
its very very WIP stage right now
TODOS:
- Merge all gemini drivers and device specific codes into kernel
- Fix all merge conflicts
- Update driver kernel API calls into 4.4 APIs (that is the hardest thing)
- Fix all compilation errors
- And hope for boot
İf anyone has an ability to contribute/help etc. and/or interested in this project , it would be really appreciated :good:

Main goal is the colloborate devs, people who work on gemini to make development better and faster,
And the giving info about possibilities what can be done for future development on gemini kernel
I joined the group on Telegram but is there any dev group which is less crowded (contains only devs)

No there is no such group... once we have tried to create such a developer group it did not work that well
PM should be fine for the most of the cases, but if you want to create a developer only group, you are free to do that.

Wow man it's brave to try porting to 4.4
If it gets to work it'll be a wonderful thing!

Telegram Group and channel for development

Hello Guys, I am Subham (Derklord) and i maintain AospExtended For p2 (Kuntao) and going through the threads i saw p2 has very less number of roms and people dont get to enjoy things on this beast. So i came across a telegram group and saw users are ready to flash different roms on their devices so i made a channel for it and a group for discussions on these topics and i would like you all to join there to get latest stuff as i cannot create different threads for different roms even if i build. I will be releasing my device tree for different custom roms i build so that new developers can access them and build on their own and release it here for better development of this device.
