Anyone notice like a frame rate drop or lag while scrolling in chrome fast with the S-pen? I tested scrolling with my finger vs with the SPen and definitely some weird lag or frame drop effect.
Well, no, my device behaves equally with finger and spen

Do you experience lag with the TM-Note 2 and when a pop-up window is opened and playing a video?
I kinda do.

No, not from stock video and pop out browser with ADW launcher
Maybe you should clear the memory before playing the video and see if it still has any lag..
If I have a video playing in pop-out and if I am swiping between panes in Touchwiz, there is noticeable lag in the while changing panes. Do you experience the same in this case?

I have absolutely no lag going through panes, even with a live wallpaper running with 720p video [dont have 1080p to test atm]. Something is probably hogging your cpu resources.
Anyone else seem like touchscreen sensitivity on P6 i a bit laggy ? But to understand by what i mean with laggy you must have had a snappy phone before that... It's like for example on the app drawer (i use apex launcher), or anywhere that you have to scroll, you move your finger like 1 cm before the screen actually starts scrolling... Any thaughts on this ? And please do not recommend any app from Google Play, i have tried them all and no improvement. Attached screenshots of my homescreen and app drawer. May i mention that all the settings in my phone are optimised or speed, like drom the developer menu animations and all the rest are set to off, in apex launcher all animations are off, gloves mode on/off, nothing works

There is something wrong with the GPU drivers I believe, our gpu doesn't only suck at 3D but it sucks horribly at 2D also (even SGS2 has better 2D performance). For example a very simple process for the GPU to render: try pulling down the notification bar - it just feels sluggish and not snappy at all on the P6 compared to even the SGS2. Vivante is horrible and Huawei has to do something about it (either release the drive sourcecodes or improve the GPU ALOT.
Hello, I tried S-note on a 10.1 2014 in a store. When I put the S-pen on top of the screen (not touched yet), the left/right edge showed a blueish edge. What is that? I tried it to PRO 12.2 but did not see such edge.
it tries to scroll up, any edge will give that blueish effect and it is plain stupid, i would be really grateful if somebody could turn that and zooming in and out off in S-Note.

I would also like the song pen scrolling disabled in a note. It makes writing by the edges really leggy as its trying to scroll the screen even though I'm not tying to scroll.
I can live with it, but it would be nice to be able to disable this feature.

Why I did not see this when I tried S-Note on Note PRO 12.2?
I don't know if it's an Android M thing or Nexus 5X issue but anyone notice the scrolling looks "weird?"
Meaning when you scroll through a page in Chrome, the text letters on the page kind of fade out for a sec. Once the scrolling stops, the text fades in.
I've been playing around with it some more and the text definitely fades out when scrolling. It's also unclear.
Only when the scrolling stops do the text fade in and the words became clear.
Do you by chance have magnification gesture enabled in accessibility settings? That will cause weird scrolling
No, it's not on.
I swear I'm not going crazy.
Text will fade out/fuzz out when scrolling. Once the scrolling stops, the text fades in and becomes legible.

Very odd. It does this exact same thing with the zoom/magnification gesture on. Have you tweaked anything and forgot about it in dev options maybe? Any apps that could affect this? Just reaching for straws I am
It's brand new out of the box. I haven't touched any of the settings.
Beginning to wonder if this unit is defective.

Could be. Did you get the ~43MB update and install it? Have you rebooted?
Its more seen if the brightness is low right? Yea. Its because of samsung amoled panel. The downside is .. That. Its because the screen controller latency is too high because it need to power on and power off EVERY SINGLE PIXEL. Lol. K

The Nexus 5X has an LCD panel. Although I do know what you're talking about with some AMOLED panels

Yeah, got the update when I first turned it on.
Rebooted after the update. Same thing.

I'll give it a shot. It that doesn't work, I guess this needs to go back.
Maybe its the hardware?

It does it on mine as well, but I hadn't noticed until I looked for it, but I see what you mean, it doesn't do it on the older Nexus 5, but the scrolling seems smoother on the 5X almost as if it is a deliberate thing they have done to help our eyes follow rapidly moving text, but it may just be the way they have decided to drive the panel pixels.
It isn't a fault.
Regards
Phil
I have the exact same issue.
I noticed that in static mode the font is looking good, but when I start scrolling, the font looks thinner and less clear.
I have this issue in all apps (Facebook, Chrome, Whatsapp etc). It looks a bit cheap.
If this is setting, I'd love to know how to fix this.
hey,
is there a fix for this issue?
thanks
It seems that it is an LCD panel feature. I've also this behavior on my nexus 5x (511, Mint).
I've also can clearly see pixels on a white background
Didn't notice anything like that on a Nexus 5 though.
It's the LCD panel. All LCD panels are lazy. Especially when it's cold. Try to use it below 5 or 0 celsius. This lazyness effect is more visible then. It's winter now. You won't see it as much in summer.
so the question is, if i will replace the device this thing will apear again?
I've seen that happen on LCD screens too. I believe the problem might be FPS(frames per second). You aren't achieving 30 FPS or more when scrolling thus making the screen look blurry/ faded text when scrolling. Most likely cause of this is either the GPU not able to push 30> fps or LCD latency(highly doubt).
Try different websites and report back.(some sites are resource hog and might slow down your phone) ex. try sites that you know doesn't have ton of ads
Try different browser. (some browsers like opera mini are less resource hungry and might improve rendering on screen)
Try other apps as a last resort.
if the blurry text is from LCD then LG made a poor decision on picking a low frequency screen. maybe 60hz (LCD screen refreshes 60 times)
Coming from an M7, this is really annoying, especially when scrolling through Twitter.
Some phones exhibit choppy scrolling, especially when navigating long web pages when multiple apps are running in the background. Rate this thread to express how you smooth scrolling feels on the Lenovo ZUK Z2 (Plus) under such conditions. A higher rating indicates that scrolling is always buttery smooth, even when you're reading a 10,000 word article on "how to kiss a girl".
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Buttery smooth
Chrome scroll great, Twitter scroll horrible.
I think there's a problema with Twitter app on most phones...
Twitter lite instead working like a charm
Jelly Scroll
Am I the only one experiencing jelly scrolling like the one found on one plus 5. It's not that bad as OP5 but still present.

Yep, you're right about jelly scrolling effect on ZUK mobile. I got ZUK Z2 PRO and got the same "problem". And actually it's not a problem. It's kind of FEATURE. Or flaw to be precise. AMOLED display are causing this issue, which is not visible to everyone (depend on eyesight). But it's not visible if display is correctly installed in device. If it's installed upside down, it's noticeable. Similar issue got OP5: https://www.theverge.com/2017/6/29/15894850/oneplus-5-screen-jelly-scrolling-statement . Just try to open browser, turn your phone upside down and start scrolling -> you wont notice jelly effect anymore. Strange that ZUK or OP didn't think about it during developing their phone. Such a pity. But nevertheless, we got some special FEATURE
Occasionally horizontal swipe is taken as vertical swipe, say swiping off a notification will do scrolling!
While charging there are some issues with the touch. Holding and dragging an icon is not possible while charging! :/
