Silicone Cases

So far I'm only seeing the one for the UK Galaxy S.

Shows the flash hole. I might grab it though either way to protect the Vibrant once its released on Thursday.

I hate those, I like the crystal cases like this

I like them because there not super soft and flimsy. those fall off easy.
The crystal cases are a firm jelly type material and don't take up so much of the edge
And that's a speaker hole not a flash hole
I'll let you know if it fits my phone

you can go to the Gmarket (korean ebay) and see more
zenus cases seem to be the dominant galaxy case maker - on ebay do a search for "zenus cases" - have no idea why the seller titled his listings the way he did, but they don't show up under any samsung or samsung galaxy S i9000 search - i've ordered one of the zenus silicone cases
you can also do an ebay search under "samsung vibrant" and it'll pull up entirely different results as well

The only problem with buying the Zenus cases at the moment is that it'll take awhile to ship here since they are coming from South Korea. Some users on MoDaCo report delays in shipping. FYI on the Zenus cases, the hole in the top corner is for their TV antenna. (lucky koreans)
Let me know what your experience is like. I'm debating between getting a Zenus case or waiting for Amzer to release their cases. Amzer's website shows shipping dates in August.

i ordered the zenus silicone (black) and bar type leather case (black n blue). Hopefully they get here realtively soon, but in the meantime i have other leather holster/cases from PDAir to hold me over, so I'm not overly concerned.

i'd love to hear how that case works out for you, i have a friend in korea and she's gonna keep an eye out for that case as well as others for me.

I wonder how the T-Mobile gel cases will feel? I'm thinking about getting one to tide me over until I order one of those gorgeous Zenus leather back covers.

yeah the main reason i pulled the trigger (other than that it looks like really good quality and design) is that over on vibrant forum on the official tmo site, they confirmed that dimension wise, our phone is identical to the international version including the back hump, so everything should line up fine as far as most accessories go (car docks, home docks, etc)

I picked up the gel case from T-Mo since they were giving me $40 in accessories. I actually really like the feel of it... It's all black and looks sleek on the phone.
I imagine I'll pick up a seidio SP and call it a day.
ANY WORD ON THE SCREEN OF THESE PHONES? I HAVE NOT SEEN A SCRATCH TEST VIDEO.

I picked up the very same case, it looks like the Zenus cases that were on eBay. Feels great, fits snug and it doesn't get in the way of typing or using any of the buttons.

fommy.com is beginning to sell more cases for the vibrant but none will ship out until early august.

Im actually very surprised by the Tmo phone case. Normally their cases are very flimsy or poorly made but I went ahead and got this one just for now, but im really diggin it. I think it might just stick with me as long as the phone does..who knows.

1mm ultra thin case - video

Has anyone bought or tried this case? in looks very interesting as its so thin it may be comparable to buying something like the Bodyguardz skins without the hassle of sticking that stuff on.

Got a few days ago, pretty good, very very thin but slippery. Did a quick video to show it in action.

i've got one. its about 0.5mm thick in some parts, so the only thing its good for is protecting the phone's body from scratches. it offers no drop protection, and no camera protection, and its not grippy either.
i prefer my ringke slim case and my anymode pebble jelly case, theyre grippy and dont add much bulk, and offer decent protection for the corners of the phone (if you drop your phone, its more likely to land on a corner) and it goes slightly over the edges of the screen, so if your phone does land face first, the glass is less likely to touch the ground, making it less likely to shatter.

Thanks Souai, I had the ringke for my galaxy s2 and i found that after a while it started stretching out and not fit the phone properly. The reason why im so keen on these ultra thin ones is more as an alternative is the skin shields. ill check out the pebble case though.

i have the Original Moshi Back Cover for my Note. man the Grip is awesome! really! i mean i have the white Note and u know the white Note has different back cover than the Black one. its so shinny and slippery! but this Moshi cover gives me the real grip! got that for about Rs 5000 (approx US $ 54), but its worth the money!

$54 seems a a lot for a case, the 1mm is just $4 including delivery.

lol 5000 INR is not 54$ its more than 100$ to my knowledge and also that for a case is too much IMHO...
Anyway I would have bought one if it was sold from Amazon . Looks nice

I ordered some from ebay (the seller sold them in pairs) - one was cracked from the start and unusable, and the other was slightly warped from being stuffed in the padded envelope. I found them to be not very grippy, and the cut-out for the m/usb was quite sharp, and being as I rest the Note on my little finger when I hold it one-handed, painful!
Hope you have better luck than I did - I just use the Note bare-back now!

Every time i buy a new phone get into a mad rush to buy cases for it, i use them for a week or two then ditch them because I prefer to use the phone bare, i'll probably do the same as you Towserspvm2000, but at below 3 quid a pop im not going to be losing out on much if it is crappy.

Just got this case from China. I like it. Simple and almost like it is bare. Only issue is the buttons are a little harder to push. But not a deal breaker. This is my third case. thinnest and the lightest. Not bad for $4US. Just got to make sure I don't drop it. More for scratch protection than anything.

I bought the IMAK Ultra Thin Transparent from eBay. Fits well and protects the back of the phone nicely. I would suggest it if you're looking for something thin. It also doesn't cover up the nice looking back plate.

We at Diztronic are officially making one. Should be ready in about 3 weeks.

I've also heard the Cruzerlite is making cases so I'm sure I'll end up with one of those in addition to a wallet case from Oppomart.com.

I usually just search eBay, Amazon and Google but it takes awhile if I'm looking for the best price. Oppomart looks promising, is this an official store?

I personally just decided to grab a couple off ebay. I got a TPU case as well as a hard case. They've shipped... but they are coming from China so the estimated delivery date is July 15th - 28th but the prices were fairly good.
I tried searching Amazon, but somehow missed the IMAK one that has Amazon Prime shipping. I would have gotten that one had I know.
(And in reality, I've purchased the phone but haven't yet been notified that it was shipped so maybe I'll be lucky and it will only be a few days caseless instead of a few weeks.

My Vpower case came in yesterday. I ordered it from eBay. It's surprisingly well-made and slim. Just what I was looking for. Paid $9.39USD with free shipping.

This and the leather case works perfect.

Just got this today. Nice matte textured feel (soft too), perfect camera cutout, thin but not flimsy, and enough of a raised edge on the sides to set phone face down. Can post more pics if interested. (Black was sold out at time of copying link)

In the first half of May 2018 they should be releasing one for the phone. Just incase anyone else likes those Aluminum bumper cases.
I Have also reached out to Luphie Cases but from them I didn't get any answer as of yet.
DBrand told me they won't be selling any XZ2 Skins.
I might add that I've been using the Style Touch cover for the XZ2 and will until the Devilcase one arrives in late May/June. I don't like the flappy window cover at all. The touch cover is too rigid when you've got the cover opened and I can't hold it comfortably in my hand whilst open. When its closed the cover is not straight on top of the screen and makes it hard for the screen to register touches on the left side of the screen.

I have this Nillkin transparent case and it's fine. I also ordered an IMAK case today. I had IMAK cases in the past the the grip is fantastic, it's like you touch a stone.

I waited and the bumpercase for the regular XZ2-model did show up and is available on their page. No sign of the XZ2-compact model however. So I once again reached out and after some back and forth it turns out the XZ2-compact is not available on their domestic market so they will not make the bumpercase available through them directly, it will only be available through their retailers. I am currently awaiting a response for which of their retailers will carry the XZ2-compact model, and will update with their response.

After much searching (I have not yet heard back from devilcase) I believe I have actually found the first batch of bumpercases for the XZ2 Compact (In one of my mails from Devilcase they eluded to that the first batch of cases were branded differently than they normally would be). It seems they went here:
As you can see they are branded DECASE, but it is in fact the Devilcase bumpers, as Croy Mobile is listed as one of their retailers on the Devilcase homepage. So it would seem that a bumpercase for the XZ2 Compact is available, but only in Japan, as I can find no mention of international shipping on the homepage of Croy Mobile.

yeah, that's the Ringke Onyx. It's probably the single, best case available at the moment, if you want any protection for the screen and corners that is. The trend these days seem to be thin cases that just protect from scratches and not drops of any kind. Something I personally don't quite understand (as someone who tends to drop the phone at the gym every couple of months ).
Was quite disappointed in this guy, the Olixar ExoShield. As you can see in this picture I took before I sent it back, while it has great protection for the corners and screen, it's a box that completely ignores the shape of the back of the phone. That ticked me off so much I had to send Olixar a complaint about it asking them what the heck they were thinking.

UK Case thread

Thought I would start a new 'case thread' for the Z Fold 2, as the current one in this forum is very US orientated and the cases discussed there - are simply not available in the UK right now.
I will kick this off though with a high level of frustration, that this is the hardest phone to get a bloody case for! Especially given that it's one of the most fragile. Sure you can pay £80 for a flimsy bit of leather that only protects the back of the phone from Samsung. That's just a crazy price and poor value for money. But as far as I know that's the only case available to buy today (28th September).

There are no other cases available from them, they are all out of stock. Same with Amazon, where you are going to be waiting for several weeks before items are in stock. I really don't understand why, I have never had this issue with a new phone before, there were cases available for the Note 20 Ultra 2 weeks prior to the release date.

Yeah the case situation is pathetic. Just using the official leather at the moment as its better than nothing.

I think Samsung are charging way too much for the leather one, I bet they deliberately priced it so high because the people likely to buy this phone have a bit more cash to splash. Or that they know the cases are in short supply.
I bought the official leather case for my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. It's twice the size of the Fold 2 case but cost considerably less, £30 (with a discount) and even that was too much in my opinion. I really need one that protects the cover screen, hence the reason I went for the Araree case.

Don't all flame me for this post... but I bought the cheap (China) faux leather hard case on ebay for £5 gbp and its actually perfectly fine. Its also available as UK stock for about £9 with quicker delivery

The rear cover fully protects the camera bump and sides.
The front cover protects the edges of front screen and sides (but does make swiping down from top of screen gesture a bit hit and miss for my big fingers)

So I ordered a cheap case off eBay whilst I wait several weeks for a much better one. Supposed to arrive this week. Of course on eBay, "UK STOCK" posted by Royal Mail that takes over a week to arrive means only one thing of course... they are being sent from China. Which I mostly expected when I ordered but took a chance that maybe someone was being honest. No wonder people claim item hasn't arrived and get their money back and still get to keep the item.
I am getting desperate for ANY kind of case for this phone, but the only one available from Samsung is the leather one (£80) or pay £150 upwards from a shark on eBay who clearly only snapped up a whole load of decent cases to add 200% mark up profit, adding over £100 to a £50 case. Crooks.
So no cases available in the UK at a non inflated price. I checked all the usual online outlets and all citing 'expected' stock in 3-4 weeks. What a frustrating crazy situation, for such a premium and arguably delicate phone, why on earth is there such a shortage here?

It fits perfectly and will protect the back glass at least. It seems good quality for the £3 I paid, but like all these kind of cases , it adds weight to the phone on one side. Still it's better than nothing!

The £5.99 cases on eBay UK are pretty good and protect.botg the front and back ... I bought the black one which is exactly the same as the Spigen Thin-Fit case but without the brand name and for a fraction of the price

Yeah, you're absolutely right, the premium cases for this (very expensive) phone, are almost impossible to source, and when you eventually find one they are over-inflated prices. Trouble is sellers know that desperate consumers (who possibly have more cash than your average consumer) will eventually part with their money to protect such a valuable phone. But I am not falling for that. I have had an order for the Araree Bonnet leather case with MobileFun for over a month now and it's still showing at least a further month for stock to arrive. It's a quality leather cover case and is only costing me £35. In the meantime I am just keeping it in a neoprene pouch. The snakes on eBay buying these up and selling them for £180 - I hope someone screws them over at some point.
Anyway thanks for the link to the one you bought. The bezel on the front cover looks very thick though. Is that a bit awkward to use? I ordered a similar cheap Chinese one off eBay just to tide me over.

The only problems are swiping from the edge gestures (eg open side-bar swipe from right or notifications bar swipe down from top) which are difficult and a bit of trial and error at times. I am old school and use the 3 button navigation so not sure if gesture navigation is affected or not.
All things considered tho I prefer to use this (inexpensive) Chinese made case to protect my expensive new phone until such time as mid priced (£20 max) cases from popular brand names are widely available and are actually in stock.
P.S. for the first few days I before my case arrived i used a "sock" or "sleeve" repurposed with the fabric mesh bag that came free with my Anker 10,000mAh portable battery. Better than nothing.

I bought the same one but had to stop using after a few hours, found swiping up and down was more miss than hit.
I've got the VRS Hard Drop active on order, for the time being i'm just carrying it in a 'ShockSock' which to be fair does the job well

I've already chipped my hinge due to lack of protection the back leather on its own isn't enough

Direct from the VRS website, I got a 15% off code (SMILEAGAIN30) when I went on the site, I think it was $53 dollars all in for the case and postage. The discount basically gave me near free postage.
I went for the black version, shipping at the end of the month apparently...so ShockSock it is till that arrives

I just received one of the Chinese two piece black plastic ones that were shown in this thread. The frame for the front part is very stiff and while this means it will stay put, the amount of force needed to put it on has scared me from doing so. I don't want to scratch my phone putting a case onto it! Or am I worrying unnecessarily? I much prefer the softer gel ones.

I think you may be worrying unnecessarily about the front cover I have had the Chinese case on my fold2 for 3 weeks now and no marks visible (I only removed it to check after reading your post ). Also I left the factory fitted front screen protector on the glass so I guess i have the additional scratch protection provided by the film cover.

I'm not in the UK, but the Netherlands.
I'm currently using the Shocksock I had for the original Fold, now on the Fold 2. It doesn't fit as well as on the original, but it's OK.
I bought a Fitbag from Germany, but those things are precision-made, and even with Samsung's very thin leather back cover on the phone, the whole thing becomes too fat for the sleeve.
The VRS case looks nice. Has anyone received theirs yet?
Another nice-looking one is the Spigen thin case.
There's rarely a source for any of these cases in the Netherlands, so ordering from the US is expensive and is often fraught with extra charges at the door.
