November update seriously broke android auto on our phones. Has anyone tried the December update yet and checked to see if its working again?
What did November break?
Yeah, never had a single problem and I use AA every day
Same, but use cases might be different. OP should clarify and then we can see.
Not sure what the problem is/was but Android Auto fixes are listed for December.

When i updated to november last month i could not use AA at all in my 2017 honda crv. It would charge and thats it. I went back to october then it worked again. I will try december update and the AA update. Hope it doesnt break again
For me it is still not working. Opel Astra Infotainment 2017 HUN. Android auto start up and stops. Car not detect the phone. With iOS it is working perfectly and sadly... I still have to use the SE for navigation
You could always use Android Auto on the phone's screen. Works just fine. It's what I do with my non-Android Auto car.

Defeats the purpose when you have a car that supports AA. Anyways, December update and the new AA fixed everything

I will have to try the December update as well. My problem was that if I used waze and amazon music at the same time, the sound level in the music would repeatedly increase and decrease, making it impossible to listen to a song.
Never mind, I see it's resolved with the newest update.
I just really wish they'd fix the volume streaming on Sync 3. Anytime I'm listening to Google Play Music and use a voice command the audio volume stream for GPM jumps to the voice volume stream. I have to press the voice command button again to get audio to play on the audio stream. Been like this for a very very long time.
Dec update broke my Pixel 2XL's Android Auto
'sNo problem w/ Nov update, but Dec's broke my Pixel 2XL's link to Android Auto of Honda Clarity PHEV.
After 2 days, still cannot run map navigation from phone's Google calendar/contacts to car screen.
However Pandora on the Pixel 2XL finally punched thru to car system,. EVEN WITHOUT being USB wired --- I mean it now shows up on car's screen with my in-app Pandora radio stations which I can select from the car controls. Did not see this Pandora behavior previously, but maybe it is coming thru via Bluetooth.
Mapping connection from phone to Android auto is more important for me. Hope this is fixed soon.
Delete AA on your phone and delete the phone from the car completely then start fresh. You can always go back to november too or whichever one worked
Just purchased a 2017 Civic SI and was excited that their head unit supported Android Auto. I purchased an Anker USB A to USB C cable. Loaded up latest version of AA on my Pixel 3 XL. Waze loads up and I can start navigation. I also throw on my favorite playlist from Spotify. After about 10 - 15 min the music stops and the units screen goes black for about 10 seconds then everything reappears on the unit. During my hour drive today, this happened about 6 times. I stopped at a rest area, cleared Google Play Services, Android Auto and Waze cache. Still occurred after I got on the road for 10 minutes. Anyone else having this issue?
Honda Radio Firmware - 1.F196.32
Verizon Pixel 3 XL - Android 10 / QQ3A.200705.002
Android Auto version 5.4.502264
Waze version 4.64.1.0
Hello guys!
Been enjoying this phone so far but one annoying problem is when I play music in my car via Bluetooth the artist and song name dont display. I had a pixel 2 XL before and had the same problem. Had to go in developper settings and change Bluetooth AVRCP profil to 1.3 and it worked. Unfortunately it doesn't work with my galaxy s20 ultra. I tried a tcl 10 pro and it worked instantly without changing anything, samething for my gf's iphone XR. I tried a couple other things like changing permissions for spotify's app, disabled battery saving mode for Spotify and for all my phone too and nothing works. I'm out of solution. Anyone here can help me fix this nightmare?
TIA
Pixel 6 Pro does not stay connected to the car Bluetooth. 2018 Tacoma. Audio works but the phones keeps cutting out or off. It will disconnect from the radio.
I just paired my P^P to my MB, no drops, works great.
Toyota needs to be upgraded.
Mine is working fine on 2020 Toyota RAV4.
I have to manually connect to my head unit with the 6 pro (use a tasker shortcut to speed it up). Weird. All of my prior phones connected automatically.
Don't have any issues with my watch or pixel buds autoconnecting.
Mine is working fine. Lexus NX300h. Also Android Auto (wired) works fine.
Also working on my Benz SLK 300.
No issue with mine on a few different VWs I've been driving. Also android auto is working fine both wired and wireless, although I have to turn off my adguard VPN to get it to work wirelessly so I tend not to use that.
i am having the same issue in my 2007 tundra my op7p worked perfectly but the p6p is terrible, it will disconnect and get choppy for about a minute then it works perfectly until i turn the truck off then it happens again at next connection. very very aggravating
The bluetooth on my Pixel 6 Pro has been working great with the aftermarket android radio in my F150. I use it with Tasker to fire up the WiFi hotspot so I can listen to Spotify while I drive and haven't had any problems.
My wife was having this issue where the Bluetooth would disconnect after a minute on a phone call with her highlander. Someone else had mentioned that they noticed theirs would only disconnect when the screen was off. I told my wife to plug in her phone so the screen stays on, and it no longer disconnects. I never had the issue on my Camry, but my screen is generally on if I'm on the phone.
Edit: also turn on the A2DP hardware offload in developer settings if you haven't already.

I was seeing this also. It was working for a while and then at some point would just randomly disconnect. I'm using a completely custom IVI based on Dragonboard 820c and Automotive Mezzanine; https://www.aprax.tk/auto/ which is, coincidentally, also in a Tacoma.
I have NOT seen it lately though, likely since the January update. I'm running the January 14th release of Graphene; https://grapheneos.org/releases#stable-channel
Does Android Auto work well on Redmagic 8 PRO? How's the music quality in the car? Maybe someone is using in Ford with Sync3?
No chance to get it working. Skoda Kamique and Kodiaq tells me, not compatible. So only calls via Bluetooth are possible. I'll try to Update the Skoda Software, but i think it is a problem with the phone
I'm using Android Auto with my Red Magic 8 Pro via AAWireless on my Skoda Superb no problems at all. Music quality seems fine to my ear and everything is functioning as it should.

Hey man, I have a redmagic 8 pro matte version and I have used it in my ford with sync3. This is the first android phone that I tried in my car so i don't have anything to compare to though. But I would say that it works well, no issues for me. I used it with waze and my downloaded music with AIMP. I haven't tried it yet with calls/video calls.
I still prefer iOS carplay though for the overall familiarity and smoother interface. I also don't like the big black bar at the bottom while waze is open in android auto, it just eats a lot of space.
