I see me too im facing that problem my device is the global version but also i feel the animation system so laggy and it's so awful.
I suggest both of try a system reset. There is probably some resource draining app on your phones.
MIUI 12 works absolutely fine. There is an occasional stutter in the animation upon closing an app, but otherwise there is no slowness and the battery drain is about the same as MIUI 11
If that animation issue bothers you just use the Pocophone launcher instead of the stock launcher and it will work exactly like MIUI 11

(My phone have a global rom) I done hard reset but I've the same problem of battery drain, I'll try to change launcher like u said but where's possible download the pocophone Launcher?
I would try a way to return to latest Miui 11 if it's pussible, and I hope to find a good tutorial, or try if it's possible to come back to stock rom...tnx bro 4 your support
Haven't noticed any difference after the upgrade.
Some xiaomi users reported less battery drain when using cellular data after installing blokada and using the xiaomi filter. If you're always connected, might as well try it.
On my device it was the "cell standby" (which was being used by radio services) that was draining the battery when the screen was off (especially at night). This issue didn't persist in older MIUI 12 beta builds and I was unable to fix or circumvent it by changing the network type. Seems to me as an ongoing issue for many MIUI 12 users. I've switched to EvoX for now and I like it.
Try this...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f2-pro/how-to/improving-battery-life-miui-12-t4139913/page1
I was having no problems with mine, but it seems even better now
Edit...
I did have one app, the Mi Bunny app to manage the Mi Bunny 4G watches, that didn't take the optimization well. Wouldn't log in or accept calls properly, but working normal again after a reinstall.
POCO Launcher 2.0 is available on the Google Play store.
I'm not sure that there is a path to downgrade to MIUI 11 if your phone was not already unlocked. You can unlock it but I'm not sure that there is a compatible alternative Recovery that will work, and I think the phone's own recovery will prevent you from downgrading.
Try asking on one of the other threads discussing unlocking and Roms.

Just use MI Flasher to be safe. It won't let you flash a bad anti and brick the phone.
Hello, for me this method work.
Clean install MIUI 12 (using XiaoMiTool V2)
Wait for boot
Restart to recovery and make wipe data
Reboot and test your new battery life
I have MIUI Global 12.0.2.
Xiaomitool V2 i read it's for Qualcomm CPU..

Update worked fine here. I do get the message "Messaging is running in the background" on my smartwatch now though, but when I check the mobile there is no message. Might also be an issue of my smartwatch
Update, just found an issue, my gallery doesn't anymore show any pictures, only white place holders. Not sure what's going on, but hadn't yet time to troubleshoot this.
[edit]
A reboot has fixed this issue, all running fine so far.
I got the update yesterday and could finally use FP, and works quite well. Overall it seems a good one. Still based on MM.

Thanks,
in this moment my daily rom is from miui.it based on android 7.0 (derived from global china dev and translated to full italian) with no problem, just warning using bank app and missing Netflix...
Is there a .zip anywhere i cant update with my custom recovery
As I reported earlier, the FP works quite well, but I suspect there still remains some battery drain. Starting with a full charge, without FP the phone loses 8-10% of battery overnight (no wifi, battery saver on, and screen always off ), while with FP on, it loses almost 20%. For daily use, however, I didn't noticed much difference.
Is there a tool to measure precisely what is draining the battery (no root)?
data problems
I received the update few days ago. Did the thingie now i cant get 3G only Edge with T-Mobile. Before the update i used to get 3G.
Try to reboot your phone again, can help.

I can confirm that that did helped. Thank you.
I have issues with the volume. The animation dissapears and a reboot brings it back. Also, there is a new "beta" released of this version to some users. First they cancel beta then they release a stable beta? Weird.
"The Update will be through OTA only and will be with/without Changelog."
Soo....with changelog?

Automatic brightness seems to have a problem since this update. Coming off a night-time charge the screen will not adjust to daylight without intervention.

First, its not new - beta stable versions were released much earlier.
Its simple.
Beta rom is developer rom (weely/daily/whatever).
Stable rom is older beta build without some newest changes.
Stable beta is "stable" rom provided first to some random people to get feedback. If there is no any serious bug then the same build is shared for everyone and becomes "stable".
Yes. I know that. But they cancelled public weekly betas due to that a very few people actually reported bugs. So only public stable remains for our device. But then they go ahead an publish a public global stable "beta" to a few random users. This is what I think is odd.
Of course there is beta releases but they are not public anymore. Only closed betas. And closed devs.
Feedback probably is a mess. Some people always have "battery drain" no matter what or other "not" working things (which are working for everyone except one person). They wont do wipe data to try to fix this by self and probably in received feedback there will be much more complaints than praise (even if update is really good).
Beta stable is good idea (there will be less bricked devices) but I dont like the fact that I cant install update manually if I wasnt chosen to test and rom wasnt published on official forum (at least without twrp...)
Anyone rooted on this update yet? If so, what version of TWRP did you reflash after the update and what version of Magisk are you using?
Thanks!

I only had to do a reboot..now I get 4 SOT with the display set to 720p. Not bad for me but I came from a Poco and this is way less that what I'm used too. AMOLED isn't that great even with dark mode on.
As you know, Oneplus is starting beta testing Color OS, which will replace HydrogenOS. Please note, this is the Bata version, and some of the functionality does not work.

What camera is included?
Can someone compare battery life after usage?
Might be an idea to explain what this is.

works great and if you need play store just go to apkmirror.com and download the play store package, install, login to google and download the apps you need
ColorOS beta work okay for me.
The UI look different but has very similar options (as expected).
Sadly can not find boot.img to patch with Magisk since this is not a OTA update.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/flash-tool-guide-use-xiaomi-flash-tool.4262425/
You download the latest official ROM for your region from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com or the official MIUI site, unpack it, get Google SDK Platform-Tools (for ADB & Fastboot), and either use Xiaomi Mi Flash Tool, or use the script-files themselves from the ROM-folder.
Also be careful, because any disruption of the Flashing-process can hardbrick your phone.
the safest options would be to
Option 1)
Flash the stock rom without locking bootloader
Boot device
Boot back to fastboot
Lock bootloader
Option 2)
Use mi flash tool
Use clean all option
Boot device
Boot back to fastboot
Use clean all and lock
I've done the above and gone back to stock.
I'm currently happy with almost everything.
I have an issue with my Google maps timeline, in that I don't have any.
I'm thinking it might be something I did in my Google account.
Would anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

well, you will have to dig around. miui roms arent that popular, so it might take a while. in the meantime, consider using a adb debloat tool to clean your tablet
Im using the same one as yours, global miui 13.0.4. i haven't any problem since the update launched (and also the best performance i've felt). Rather, it is the best one i've ever used compared to older versions.
And also the palm pressure works like a charm for some reason

The MIUI in China has many interesting skills. However, it does not work very well outside China as it does not have any goggle apps at all and MIUI China has some ads.
