So,it's my first time rooting a phone.
I think I understood the boltloader unlocking part, but I'm confused after that.
Also, side question, can the bootloader be relocked after rooting?
I also understand the magisk part,I think, but I'm really unsure about the files I have to download.
So,is there a good guide,or can you guys help me out?
Side question 2 : is it an issue, that I'm running the beta version of Oxygen OS?
Thanks in advance!

Follow his instructions and you are good to go. Works 100% without issues.
Don't relock the phone and it doesn't matter if you have open beta installed.

Because it's not recommended to relock if the phone isnt completely stock. On xiaomi devices you will even brick the phone!
I really just need root to get my GCam app onto my system patition. After that I'd probabily unroot

You can't relock the bootloader if you have done any modifications, the device won't let you boot.
For now rooting is a must for the other camera, but there is a new version that comes out (hopefully) soon that enables other cameras without root or any other modifications.

You have to unlock the bootloader too. Unblocking the bootloader will wipe your device.
As a rule of thumb, I always unlock bootloader on day one of purchasing my devices. (mostly Nexus or OP so far). This way you avoid potentially losing data.
Or u can download systemless xposed which will allow to turn on and off to use Android pay

root (access) is obtained via apps like SuperSU
xposed has nothing to do with root access - it is an additional framework allowing for low level modifications (like amplify, etc)
unlocking bootloader is always the first step, from there you can flash supersu (which is NOT just an APK file).
there's a number of threads about it that can explain it better than i.

In theory yes for phh but this requires to rework FIsH.
Magisk requires changes in boot partition so 100% no.
Consider to unlock instead

The solution (I think) would be to wipe data and flash the entire stock image for your phone, then re-lock the bootloader. This will make sure that any folders/files pertaining to being rooted are gone and shouldn't cause any problems when it comes to validating your OS. Just make sure you properly unrooted SU by using their uninstaller/unroot tool before wiping and reflashing.

Out of curiosity, why do you even wish to lock the bootloader? Especially with the numerous horror stories of users unable to resurrect a bootlooping device (rather simple to fix if unlocked) because their bootloader is locked.

As some of you certainly know, Magisk manager has capability of rooting system.
The needed thing is kernel image, boot.img, very the same which seats in the device.
If the stock ROM was available to download then the kernel image would be possible to obtain by pulling it out from the ROM file (preferably zip).
So where to get the stock ROM file, please?

I'm thinking about the LG tablet I had. No root for it so someone did the Magisk thing also. Tablet was easily unlocked allowing us to put the image in place.
For the Q7, once a boot image is modified how would you get it in place on a running ROM? Far as I know the device is still locked down.

Sorry, not gonna kick a dead horse.
Even if the boot img could be modified with magisk, there still is no way to install to device without unlocked bootloader.
And have you refferred to this method ?
What do you think of these instructions:
https://www.techdroidtips.com/lg-q7-2018-unlock-bootloader/
especially this:
In conclusion, Android versions later than lollipop come with an option of OEM Unlock in the developer options. So, its quite easy to unlock the bootloader on any latest smartphone devices. And Still, some of the smartphones may not come with this option. Hence, in order to unlock the bootloader, you need to manually do it via PC.

Not on the list
However this list is extremely scarce. It seems something is wrong with it.
This is why wanted to try. The first obstacle is it is impossible to reboot into bootloader (which is needed to obtain device ID). When the command "adb reboot bootloader" is executed then the phone simply reboots into system again. (Attention: when "adb reboot recovery" is executed then it does Factory Reset!)
How to make it boot into bootloader? Is there any keys combination for it?
