LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit Gerrit Code Review.

Awesome
I have Nord in Brasil on claro carrier and this ROM does not support VoWiFi I think. Or maybe I am wrong.
Thanks for the rom. May I ask if your builds will be official in the future? As I can see you are also maintaining pixel experience official for the 5x.

Is this using 1+ stock kernel? If not then the kernel source code link is missing (GPL)

That's indeed a shame that the source is not available yet, can't wait to compile a nicely optimized kernel :good:

It's listed in the bugs section for a reason.
Hopefully this will become official and gets supported by LineageOS for microG (once they have made the jump to 17.1).
So is it a good time to buy a OnePlus Nord?
I'm always lagging behind and missing the train (currently still using a OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 6), means I always wait too long to buy a new phone for use with LOS (for microG) only to find out that once LOS is available for a particular phone (like a new OnePlus), it's not available for purchase as new anymore...
Can you link me your device trees? I'll build AOSiP
Glad to see Los for Nord. I wish you good luck bro, and I hope soon or later you will be official maintainer. I think about that phone and is great to see lineage thanks to you. Your cheers. @lakshay18
LOS for microG 17.1 has just been kicked off (they finally made the jump thanks to the major updates to microG for Android 10)!
Anyone here with the right amount of knowledge interested to start an unofficial build for the OnePlus Nord?
That would be a reason for me to order two OnePlus Nord right away!

Compatibility:
Compatible with all Xiaomi Mi 5 variants (32GB / 64GB / 128GB). Xiaomi Mi 5S and 5S Plus are not supported.
Builds are based off the Xiaomi's Android 8.0 firmware with proprietary blobs from MIUI 8.5.10 dev package.
Downloads:
Official download links
Notice:
No custom kernels are supported in this thread. Only stock kernel and official builds will be supported. No bug reports if that's not the case.
Installation:
Reboot to recovery (TWRP recovery for Mi 5 - Direct link)
Format /system, /data and /cache
Install LineageOS zip package
Install [optional] the LineageOS su addon to get root (there are obviously other root methods, but this is the recommended one as it survives to OTA updates)
Install [optional] a Google Apps package of your choice (Open GApps is advisable, but stock and super variants are not recommended!!!)
Important notes:
Current minimal * required * firmware version is MIUI 8.5.10 Global dev, otherwise installation will fail. Download the latest dev fastboot package directly from Xiaomi and flash it prior to installing LineageOS or, alternatively, download and install one of the latest custom packages containing firmware only - direct link (at your own risk).
GApps can only be flashed on clean installs.
Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if MIUI was previously installed and device was encrypted.
Credits & collaborations:
This work is due to efforts from Mi5Devs founding members (@h2o64 and me) that did the full device bring-up. Huge thanks to @deovferreira for all the help during the kernel bring-up after source code dropped. Last but not least, pleasure having @luca020400 and @LuK1337 onboard since the bring-up of the whole Xiaomi 8996 family, that lately did the major work in the O era.
Finally, all LineageOS team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

You have to wipe data system
For me stock keyboard is crashing while swiping to write on every app, installed Google Keyboard and swiping is working correctly. I don't know if somebody else is having this issue, I'd attach a logcat file, but the device is not recognised with adb, while I can transfer data and so on... while on twrp recovery adb is working fine.
EAS or HMP kernel here?
I'm impressed you guys already made this, as always ?? I'm unable to try it out right now but please give an update on battery life etc once someone has a little bit of stats. Great work!

I think magisk work, test and report here and if you can tell me your SOT in this rom or a little review ?
One more thing. I'm not sure how it works, so maybe it's a stupid question.
The Mi Note 2 is not a Treble enabled/supported device, but we can active it with this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-note-2/development/project-treble-mi-note-2-t3784538
Since I'll change the rom, if I'll install this first, my phone will be treble enabled forever? Or the phone lost this ability if i flash an other rom?
I think Your phone lost treble because this is not a Treble enabled rom and a clean Install is always recommanded when you upgrade your os ?
If you would a good and argued answer ask @Psy_Man for treble, he have a better knowledge about treble.

There is no face unlock in android 10 as of now. Wait for pixel 4 face unlock feature available or ported to the AOSP.

You'll need the TWRP unofficial by @mauronofrio due encryption. It'll may be needed to flash DM-Verity if you're not encrypted. Build is going to be up soon

this twrp should support encryption with LOS 17. it does work properly with PE Android 10.
