Hi
I just bought used z2 force sprint XT1789-03. It is updated to stock Android PIE. But no twrp is installed. I want to install twrp and then use any custom roms. Please guide me as I heard there are many issues when trying to do this. Some information I have attached. Also more importantly I want root access more than the custom rom.

You are lying, or fooled by others
There is no stock Android PIE for sprint XT1789-03
From the bootloader screen , the baseband information shows it comes from Android 7 firmware version

Please check the attachments. I don't know how it is updated as I bought it 2nd hand last month.

I saw the bootloader already knew what it is.
This phone got partial flashed retail version firmware on it left the baseband

Did you try to root or flash a zip? How did you attempt to upgrade to 4.4.2? Did you ODIN or flash the zip?

Pretty sure you flashed the wrong thing if you got it from here, this is the Sprint forum, and judging by your signature you have the TMo variant... and now you're probably screwed because you can't downgrade your firmware. Read read read, and don't flash stuff that's not for your phone.

could he not go into download mode and try to flash his stock rom?

No because he flashed the 4.4 Bootloader and they don't have 4.4 yet, so flashing the 4.3 firmware will brick it... He should be able to Odin a recovery and wipe everything and flash a new ROM.
Hey guys. I just received my TMO Note 3 via swappa.com today. As previously stated the former had Will03 slimkat V20 on the device.
He originally told me he had TWRP on it, but upon arrival it has Philz recovery (not sure how he confused that)
I actually prefer Twrp and I was wondering if there is an easy way to get Twrp on the device instead. Thanks a million ?

Sure, it's easy to get TWRP for your device.
Here is the download link for the latest TWRP for N900T:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/45687485/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.2.0-hltetmo-4.4.zip
Just flash this in recovery mode.
Good luck!

NF1 is strictly optional, it's really not even an android os
upgrade, the firmware will still remain 4.4.2 just like you
have right now.
Unless you are having issues with the phone I would suggest
not to upgrade to NF1 or anything else until a newer than 4.4.2
android firmware becomes available.
Good luck!

Yes the reason it's a backup and not flash able is because of all the Xposed MODs implemented.
Can you try an AIO for Nougat based ROMs?

Nougat is not officially released for the Retail USA Varient yet. As soon as it is there will be a Nougat one.
This is a stock ROM so when Nougat is released we'll know.
Check the OP! Re-read information that has been updated. new Base Final is up! Any and all change requests will be taken, and most likely accepted! Beta Testing is HIGHLY encouraged so those of you how have and would complete my upgrade let me know of any bugs. Custom firmware is a big power and with that comes opensourcing standard that I don't have at the moment, but I'll letcha know when I know. But in the mean time, please enjoy as I know you will. I am your new customization engine. Soon you will have your vary own personalized device without the Jeremy Duffield's Xperience label... But please let me know what you think, and please change quest it up as they become available!

Is there a way to upgrade the XT1644 CHIPSET without bricking it? Upon my investigation the only way to properly upgrade this exact device and other Motorola phones I've had, but you have to flash a zip that the origional stock recovery can, and the India zips don't work, they are for the India CHIPSET.
