Anyone noticed terrible battery life after miui 12 update
I see no meaningful difference moving from android 9 to android 10 or from miui 11 to miui 12. there must be some rogue app doing its thing.

For me the battery life has improved from 7-8 to 10+ hours SOT. I do play games, wifi stays on all day or night.

I've just flashed CM13 (7/6 nightly build) and after a few hours, the battery drainage is noticeably faster than stock LP or even stock MM. Is there any thing I can do to improve my battery life like underclock CPU, etc? After 1 hour from 36% it went to 15% (when I post this) with wifi and screen on.
As I've been reading so far, the average SoT for CM is 5 hours.

I've flashed about a week ago the latest open beta of OOS on my OP3. For a few days my battery life was awesome in my regular usage (Browsing, Some social networking, a bit of reddit and some listening to music on roads and at work). I've been able to reach 6-7hr sot easily but after it came the fall, My battery life went inconsistent. Can't even reach 5 hrs of SOT on one single charge and my usage stayed the same. Now i know a lot of you saying SOT isn't a metric for battery life, but note that also my standby time/drain is worse.
Any ideas? I'm listening to music via spotify (offline) if that matters.

Can you share your Battery Usage stats ?
I have heard many a times , after dirty flashing or upgrading some apps tend to utilize more battery .. the biggest defaulter is Google Photos .. Uninstall that and check again if you have .. this much of battery drain means you have wake locks ..

the latest OB12 has great battery life for me, best i have had since i had the OP3 since launch day, I used to get about 1 day with about 4hr OST, i always had to charge every day, now i have about 6hr OST and about 2 days between charging, must have been a good flash, it sucks b/c i am a flashaholic
I've had the November update for 3 days now on my Pixel 2 XL and I'm experiencing a noticeable decrease in battery life. For example, today I didn't use my phone much. I'm 13 hours off the charger and only 45 minutes screen on time (busy work day). All I've done is about 20 minutes in Chrome, a few minutes in Facebook and about 25 minutes of music over Bluetooth with the screen off most of the music playing time. Normally that usage would leave me at like 85-87% but instead I'm down to 72%. According to battery stats apps are running normally and background usage is normal.
My battery has actually gotten better since installing the november update. It had poor performance and battery life with the october update.
I would recommend checking your battery optimisation settings to see if there any apps in the background burning your battery.
I just bought it 7 days later and I really hate the battery draining too fast. My old phone was Redmi note 4x and I can say it's more battery efficient. I only average 2 1/2 hours on 50% . Casual use no heavy gaming. Android System has the highest usage based on my observation. My rom is MIUI 10 10.4.1.0 PGGMIXM.

I had the same issue on my unit. 15%+ drain overnight with no use and connected to wifi. Returned it because of touch sensitivity issue in the end, and I'm waiting to see if the issues get sorted out...
I had the same issue too, the Android system with 40% of battery consumption and at night my smartphone is consuming 10%.
interesting,mine can use 1.5 days with some time of games. Screen brightness kept roughly 60%

I get way more SOT than you but it does drain fast comparing to some of the previous phones i've had. I can do a day without charging if i didn't game, but even a hour of COD drains almost 30% of the battery. And that's specially disappointing because this thing has a massive battery...

I have played cod for more than an hour and it never drained 30%. Maybe you have some issues. I have done extensive gaming yesterday and I got 9 hours and 30 mins SOT. I'm more than happy with this because I played cod,pubg and clash of clan.
What firmware do you guys have?
I am using s20 ultra, after installed the latest update the battery is draining really fast. I am charing it twice or up for a day. especially when I play a game on my phone it consumed 6 - 7% battery for like 15 to 20 minutes.
Yah even my battery is not so great sot arround 4.5 hours with 120 htz actually, but absolutely love the phone otherwise....
