Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and new to rooting aswell.
I hate bloatware and want to get rid of all the apps on my phone i dont use. I tried rooting the sm-a305f by myself following a thread on the forum and i kept getting an error "sw rev. check fail. device:5, binary: 4". I have no idea what that means or how to solve it.
I would be grateful if someone could find the solution for me or tell me what im doing wrong.

Hi,
I am unable to upgrade my Imate Jam. It gives me error saying unknown country ID. and says to reset and try again. Some body please help me.
where you from ???? are you trying to upgrade the rom from this site ????
First things first:
You need to provide more info if you expect people to help. It's like going to the doctor's and saying "there's pain in my body"...we can't offer any real help until we know the details of the problem. Have you tried this successfully in the past? Is this the first upgrade? What ROM are you applying? What version is currently on your device? etc etc. Also filling out your forum profile with your country helps as per andy-c1's question - if we know where people are it helps to diagnose which ROM they're applying and narrow down potential causes. I wish everyone would fill this out.
There are lots of posts related to country ID errors already on here - have you checked any out? Noone here minds helping people out, but often you can find the answers you need on here without having to reask the question. I searched on "country ID" and jam for posts containing ALL these words, found this entry...

hi guys im from Indonesia, i just got samsung galaxy s i9000 today. and i found its very cool and sophisticated cellphone.
-the question is do i need to root my sgs i9000 whats the beneffits? and what about those update.zip its all about, i got like 2 of them ,one is about 640kb and the other is 1,2mb? which is the correct one?
-next questions, if i succeeded rooting my sgs i9000, can i still use the kies to update for the next official firmware, like froyo 2.2? or do i need to unroot it to make it work? gosh this thing is so confusing.
-does all original applications from samsung gone after the rooting process ?
and does anyone having problems after rooting your sgs i9000 ?

All of your questions apart from which update .zip to use have been answered many many times before.
Your question about the update.zip does not give enough information for anybody other than a mind reader to answer.
I humbly suggest you get used to the advanced search feature on this board it`s great and you could of answered all your questions yourself.

Hi everyone
just had me note 10.1 2014 for a month now and loving it , nothing has changed the only thing i have done is root the device, so upon going to samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-P600 i found that 4.4 is out, for region COO - can anyone tell me what region COO is?
but my main question is how do i upgrade / update from my current version 4.3 to 4.4 ? because when i try to do ota, it says my device has been modified.
I rooted my device using CF-Auto Root and using SuperSU
If anyone can kindly point me to a thread, blog or tell me how it is done would really appreciate it.

first im a complete noob here on rooting my android Samsung tab 3
ive looked over several posts but cannot find anything concrete as to rooting it properly.
ive found odin but as for the rooting twrp files I see you need a match on build and I cannot find one.

It is my first time in this kind of forums so excuse me if I ask something wrong; I considered myself in these matters as "a rookie"
I will try to explain my case:
Months ago I updated the firmware of the TAB to T705XXU1CPI4 (Android 6.0.1) automaticatly via official android release (OTA).
My problem is when I try to root my TAB with the app KingRoot it not worked; I read rooting is not possible if the firmware was updated as I mentioned before.
Some online recomendations say that I must update my TAB again with the same firmware, but I fear that I can damage my Tab If I re-install again the same firmeware through ODIN 3.
Could you please tell my if is correct to follow these way to continue rooting my Tab ?
I really would apreciate your kind help
