LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

For me also it was clean flash, seems to be memory issue. In night even though all app are closed, morning I see average memory usage of 6gb out of 8gb in developer option,i have not seen less than 6 GB.
Also observed mostly reboot when I am using some app which plays video. Like instagram or playing video on twitter.

Do you have a source about that? because, speaking from what i know, Moto/Lenovo hasn't confirmed that we won't have Oreo yet. By the way i too presume that, but it's totally hypothetical.
And, to not get off topic, this rom is surprisingly stable. Runs very well, thanks dev.
Edit: ivan290 you're right. I saw in official Motorola Blog that our device is not going to be officialy updated (published a couple of hours ago).

Ok, I figured it out. For those of you out there who want to root this with Magisk, grab the Google Pixel unofficial magisk build from the normal magisk thread. Also, I must say for an alpha rom it works really well! Only problem are occasional stutters and lags when performing animations, but I have had this rom for a couple hours now and haven't found that to be that bad as of now. Other then the obvious camera bug, and fingerprint sensor issue, the rom works great. Thanks!
The "Android Authority" page say it, and is based on the upgrade page of Motorola which says if your device will update to 8.0 or not. Moto G4 and all the 4th gen will stays in 7.0.
Bug report: Local audio playback doesn't work with the default apps. Tested with the default music player, Google Play Music and Musixmatch. PowerAMP and music streaming apps (tested with Spotify and Tidal) work fine.
Edit: https://pastebin.com/3t9pxwz6
I was able to root with magisk without any issues.. The rom is very stable apart from the known issues.. There is a advanced system settings FC that keeps happening from time to time.. Very sad to hear that we won't get an Oreo update!!

This is a los 15 dev thread. We request users to not post irrelevant topic in this thread.
WOW! Thanks for Oreo!!!
Have had this build for a day or two now and it works great! As mentioned in the Lineage Legacy thread, foobar2000 works well with this rom for music. Only a little bit of heating up while watching Netflix or Prime videos. Except for the bugs mentioned in the OP, this is a brilliant start to LOS 15 and very functional as a daily driver already (not much of a camera guy) Well done devs and all the guys involved. And thank you for ensuring we get the latest from Google!! You guys rock!!
Will you guys post a new version soon? I need camera... Fingerprint sensor and thats nota working for me ?? well it is working bit i can't register any finger (sorry for that bad english).

Wow that was quick.
Just tested the new release
Bugs:
- Fingerprint not working with 3d party apps like banking apps (Probably because of SeLinux?)
-Sometimes I got a message of 'Process System is not responding'. Not a big deal tho.
-Casting to a wireless display is not working ( It causes a system UI crash)
-Two camera apps, the lineage os one and the AOSP one.
-FM radio not working
Note: these are the same bugs that I face with gsi ROMs (except for the two cameras and process system)
Everything else (which means almost everything) is working fine. Great job guys!
would you guys say this rom is at a state where i can use it as a daily driver?
also thanks for the hard work in making this

It's fine as a daily driver as long as you don't use FM radio. I am using it right now, it is very stable and it offers better battery life than project treble GSIs do.
Also I'd like to report that LiveDisplay isn't working for me on the Swift 2 Plus
Update!
~~~08.04.2019~~~
- LineageOS Upstream
- April Security Path
Is this a different build than the one Nikith90 provided?
Two questions:
1. Is there any simpler and less intrusive ways to get root than Magisk? SuperSU is not an option.
2. When can we foresee a working webview?
Other than that, great work! Very stable and smooth indeed!
1. You can download LineageOS SU manager from https://download.lineageos.org/extras (arm64, LOS16)
2. Hm... Its already provided by Chomium-Based Webweiw included in LOS source code, as i know... Can you provide a little more info?
For 1. Great. Thanks. I wan't sure if the standard add on would work.
For 2. I noticed today after upgrading to this version from CRdroid 8.1 (I did a dirty flash of the OS and GAPPS 9, not noticed any other problems so far) when you get the prompt to connect to a WiFi hotspot which requires you to accept terms (in webview) I only get a blank page. I am using Opera as my browser, but it shouldn't be related.
Other suggestions: Can one have the battery icon as a circle? That, and automatic log on when correct PIN is entered would be nice. I miss those features (and a few others) from CRdroid.
Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.
Is there any chance you could try and port Lineage 17 to the V20?
Why doesn't this work on the T-Mobile model, and is there any hope for owners of that model in terms of custom ROMs?
What partitions would I check on backup in TWRP if I was going to install Lineage 16 or 17?
Because T-Mobile wants to be different, if you try to unlock the bootloader the normal way you get a brick. If my memory is working correctly, Vlad has mentioned something about being able to unlock the bootloader but with soldering and opening the device itself.
Well first you would backup everything minus system.img and Vendor.img...on both slots just to make sure
The tmobile variants always have a different RSA key for their firmware -> the one from the other models wont work.
Kernel and so on would work fine (would just need different firmware files), but the issue is that you cant even unlock/root in the first place (to my knowledge)
Unbelievably great work guys!!!!! My upgrade is available next month but this really makes me think twice!
How does it run? Battery life any better on this? Sound? Thanks again!
I have it installed but keep losing my phone/data. It won't recognize my SIM card any suggestions?
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
Hmm
was eagerly waiting for lineage 17 update, downloading,thanks so much dev, let's hope we'll get an official update soon
Huge thanks to the developer, very exciting to have Android 10 up and running on my device, with encryption in place!
PS: I couldn't get the beta version of Open GApps to flash in TWRP - It complained about a missing file in the ROM - I didn't make a note of what it said but I tried BitGApps instead and that worked fine: https://bitgapps.cf/arm64/Q/
The 20200115 gapps beta build was the problem. The next beta gapps should have it fixed.
so far very stable, everything works fine,the ui is almost perfectly smooth,but sometimes an app takes a milliseconds to get that opening animation running,lineage 16 is perfect in that ,when you tap an app it instantly responded,it needs a little work,but msn is it the best 10 rom out there,smoothest , lineage is the best
Thanks for the rom!
I'm having some issues...
1 - unable to hide apps in trebuchet
2 - unable to expand desktop
For now, only it.. if i found something i will update the reply...
I have an update about the problem I and another user reported in the TG group, where pictures and music were not appearing in the stock apps in Lineage 17 - After a couple of days of using this ROM my pictures and music have randomly started to appear in the stock apps. For some reason it took a few days for them to show up!
Brilliant Rom. Very fast and very good battery. I like him.
Anybody tried any sound mods on this rom...i got bootloop from vuper4android.
redchilis said:
Excellent!
Noticeable changes at first glance:
- Accent color has been replaced by Styles and Wallpaper - Very Cool
- Dark mode toggle in Display
- Option to allow apps to use location only when app is being used (very iOS like and privacy friendly)
- In TWRP on mounting system, LOS apps like AudioFX seem to be in /system/system/priv-app earlier used to be in /system/priv-app
- Encryption works fine
Bugs
- Adding alarm, crashes the clock app
- Changing notification in any app (Signal, Whatsapp) crashes app
Did a clean install using
Is there a way to remove unwanted system apps. When i remove app using link2sd app i got a bootloop.
Can GSI's be flashed on this ROM...??
redchilis said:
Based on this article, "devices" are GSI flashable or not and not ROM's
Based on this list of GSI flashable devices, I'd say the Zuk Z2 Plus isn't GSI flashable ASAIK
I could be wrong, just did a Google search.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
But, I've flashed many GSI's successfully... So z2 plus is a GSI flashable.
And to flash any GSI we need a proper treble rom(with a good vendor which actually supports flashing any GSI..)..AFAIK
I'm not sure whether it's a bug or not. I tried the new internal audio recording feature of Android 10 with com.kimcy929.screenrecorder, it's not working, nothing but silence was recorded.
Edit: It's working with the browser (with slight lags though). However, it didn't work while playing sound with the built-in file manager.
Great work, now we have fast R ROM! (but not as fast as Enchanted LOS 17.1)
Wow, thank you so much!! The performance and battery backup is very decent. No major issues except 2 things things,
1. Double tap to wake up missing.
2. Camera flash does not work. (however this can be resolved by using Footej camera 2)
You are best @xNombre . Nice work.
Hello,
I've just pushed a new update. It's stable release!
I'm actually surprised by how smooth gemini came out to be on a11.
Camera led is broken and probably will be, I cannot do much about it. You can always use custom camera app.
Thanks for your support on gemini. Everything works fine and smooth for now.
Just a small bug i found is disabling hardware buttons doesn't disables home button key.
On the latest version after turning on device encryption functionality and setting up boot password on, it stucks on infinite booting animation and never boots up again.
Hi!
I've been using your crdroid 6 for almost a year and I love it, thank you so much for your support on gemini.
I wanted to try this version but i can't find gapps for android 11 on the link you provided. Should I use NikGApps or it would be better to download the test version of opengapps for android 11? Would it add stability problems?
Thanks again and happy holidays to everyone!
