Google Camera Port
Stable versions and configs for the OnePlus Nord.
While quality on mobile devices has improved a lot in the past few years, Google Camera is often able to produce more detailed photos with better dynamic range. Let's use this thread to compile good GCam versions for the OnePlus Nord.
Features:
- HDR+ Enhanced, Night Mode, Astrophotography, Portrait Mode, Timelapse, Motion Photos, Lens Blur, Panorama, Photo Sphere, Photobooth, Motion tracking.
- Video, Timelapse, Slow motion.
- All auxiliary cameras work, except the depth camera.
- AR Playground/Stickers (follow this guide).
Bugs:
- Video quality is better on the stock camera, specially video stabilisation and slow motion.
- Due to OnePlus' decision to restrict access of 3rd party apps to the extra cameras on Android 11, you'll need to use specific "package names" (eg: use the links on this thread). Some cameras (eg: front wide) may still not be available even with the right apk.
How to:
1. Download APK (pick the first one if in doubt).
2. Download config file (often not required, but may help with quality).
3. Install APK file.
4. Load config file.
A short video tutorial is available for new users.
Downloads:
Some notes:
- WARNING: You need to use the "snapcam" package on Android 11. Front wide camera also broken on Android 11. More info.
- = Recommended version.
- To avoid issues when viewing media from inside GCam, install the Google Photos app (can be used without uploads/Google Account).

Some info about this phone:
Supported cameras:
(Edit: For OxygenOS 11, see this post. Some cameras don't work.)
- Back Main, Wide, Macro;
- Front Main, Wide.
Camera IDs:
- ID 0 = back main

- ID 3 = back macro
- ID 1 = front main
- ID 5 = front wide

- Main rear camera: 12MP (default resolution on the stock camera)
Old APKs Archive:

Thank you and looking forward
Thank you for making this thread!
For me GCam mod support for at least the main camera is the highest priority to decide if I will buy this phone. That, and if good macro photography is possible with the main camera, since the 2MP macro cam is unusable, see OnePLus 8.
I still use a OnePlus3 but did not want to swap so far, because with GCam Mod from urnyx the photos are even better than with a OnePlus7t Pro, which I was able to test for some days.
(If you are interested and for later comparison, these are shots made with my OP3, direct from the hand, no extra light etc: Using GCam Mod 7.2.018 from urnyx https://1drv.ms/u/s!Am3yOPAn8l_0h88ZbntU1y4NM4tmTw?e=BlgIQf )
Will try this out on my Nord. Can't share photo samples but will let you know if there are any bugs.

Thx man, will test it out
Is it possible to shoot with rear camera in 4K60FPS with the Gcam mod?
Celso Azevedo announced that GCam Mod 7.3 by Arnova8G2 [GCam_5.200604.2138build-7.3.021.apk (Arnova8G2, 2020-06-05, configs)]
would work for the OP Nord, but also writes below "Download GCam for OnePlus 8/8 Pro:"m so Im not sure if the page is only a placeholder or it's already tested:
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/p/google-camera-oneplus-nord/
this is much needed, to complete the amazing OxygenOS. so thanks for sharing and looking forward to OPN optimized releases.
mine should arrive tomorrow, so can't wait to test it out!

fantastic THANKS!
I'll take a seat, I prebought one in Amazon, won't ship until August 4th.
Also, I'd like to help with porting the app to more devices, does anyone know how to extract the source and build?
For now I can get working only the main front and the rear cameras, but for those Google Camera works just fine.
Most likely better config file is needed to enable other cameras.
Also for me there is high noise reduction algorithm being enabled in the dark. Would be nice to reduce it.
Yesterday I compared Nord to 6t image quality in the night and 6t had more noise, but also a lot more details due to less noise reduction.
Apparently AUX cameras access is limited on the Nord. Like the OP7 and OP8 lines, before they allowed access with a software update.
For now at least only the main/rear camera work without root.
Looking forward to a working Gcam port. OP Nord camera app are not that good.

checked Arnova8G2's version and it looks good already. now we need also a version that works with the ultrawide camera. thanks again for sharing, and looking forward to new versions made specifically for our beloved OPNs.

We don't need a special GCam version to use with the ultrawide camera. It's a system-side limitation, OnePlus needs to allow GCam to access aux cameras.
If someone is on their forums, ask them to allow:
Code:
com.google.android.GoogleCamera,org.codeaurora.snapcam,com.oneplus.camera
For rooted users, Arnova's Magisk Module (from here) should work fine: Aux_Mod_V2.1.zip

Google Camera Mods
Hi everyone. Here is my version of Google Camera! Versions posted here are based on @miniuser123 and B-S-G so thanks to them!
First of all i'm not a developer i'm just a student of electronic engeneering that enjoys taking pics and that enjoys much more Google's Camera than Samsung's one!
I struggled a lot to make those apk working (that is == to waste time instead of studying for my courses ) beacuse i've never been into this field so don't expect anything more from me.
How to Install (Very important!)
Steps:
- Delete Gcam data app if you have a previous version of Gcam installed
- Uninstall your current version of Gcam
- From smart manager clean up the memory (YES, sometimes it's needed beacuse after i tried a lots of different verisons of Gcams i messed up something more then the app cache itself)
- Install the app and after enter to the settings menu and press back to apply the settings
- Done!
Download
Stability: Medium
v2.2 Features:
- This config works with Nexus 6 only. (Pixel config can work on our device too but it's too unstable and is always memoryleaking) I prefer a more stable verison instead of something that's half- working.
- I added in this new version over the 1.8 the [email protected] fps ability and now slowmotion works 120/240 fps
-removed google some other google app dependencies
- For now you MUST disable flash otherwise the viewfinder start to became laggy and app will memoryleak
- HDR+ and portrait mode on front camera are broken and will be broken on every version until there is a way to make it working with custom libs.

Stability: Medium
3.3 Features:
-completely remade menu
-added bitrates for videos
-hot pixels and black pixels suppression
-live hdr on front camera only
- resampling method
-fixed crash on first install
-portrait zsl (can cause instability for someone from my test works fine)
-added portrait mode with ZSL option (needs to be tested)
-autodelete folders for portrait mode
- auto set settings after first install
- some other minor changes
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qJcdzXfAV3XYA53sD7EywnVLTFJ2rCK8
still flash bug and wrong exif info
AR Stickers for Oreo
Steps:
- Install AR Core first https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.ar.core&hl=it
- If you can't download from playstore download from here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/arcore
- Then AR Stickers https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kP98vuJR9bPdecBOzVeWPLNsgQb5YwjF
- Force close Gcam and re-open it!
- Done!

Works great on Note 9, better details, colors and dynamic range.
Using Pixel config.
For some reason, I can't download it from the fist link. Can anyone make a mirror for me please? ?
Thank you! Quality is outstanding. Starting to iron out the artifacts that other ports have too
First of all, Thanks a lot! and It works well S8 exynos.
I have a question. Why is hdr+ after processing faster on s7 than on s8?
I have both s7 and s8 exy versions, and s7 is always faster with hdr+ processing, even with the same build and same settings.
I tested almost every version of Gcams (which you made thanks! ), and in my s8 case, "Mod8.3b_IDan_v3.2.9_Exy" was the fastest version. And even in that version, s8 took longer to process hdr+ than s7.
Why is this happening? Is the processor on s8 faster and powerful than on s7? Does s9 also take 6~8 seconds to hdr+ after processing? I hope hdr+ processing will be faster like other snapdragon devices

Thank you. Processing speed slightly increased.
But It still slower.
The best setting I have found is
HDR+ parameters: low
config.HDR+ camera: Pixel 2017 ZSL
HDR+ Exposure: Slow shutter x2
HDR setting: HDR+ enhanced
The Pixel 2017 ZSL setting allows the camera to take two shots at a time(the second shot does not need to wait for HDR+ processing end). However, HDR+ after processing speed is the same.

HDR+ ON does not increase the quality of images
No processing, just captures. Like HDR ON of galaxy stock camera.

This has been discussed a lot on s8 forum. Stop spamming here non s9 related problems
You're wrong, HDR+ applies HDR processing in background. You can compare a Non HDR and a HDR+ On.
I use both HDR+ On on my S9 and Pixel 2 XL.
thanks for your work!
Thank you so much IDan for sharing this wonderful work :fingers-crossed: works really great!
Thanks for your work . Any chance of getting the flash to work properly?
After months of trying every single release of gcam that I could find on xda with loads of FC and overheating of S9+, finally @idan came to save us and enhance our camera.
Fantastic job Idan, Thanks a lot man, keep up the good work !
Does this work on Snapdragon versions? I followed the directions to the T, but I seem to be having a few issues. Portrait mode freezes on both front and back cameras, and refreshes the viewfinder every 3 seconds instead of a live preview.
I don't see an option for HDR enhanced either.
I'm not sure what the allure of the Gcam is but I wanted to try it.
portrait back cam really good on my s9+ i hope dan will not giving up on us to support this port fighting dan <3

Google Camera Port
by @Urnyx05
This is a thread where I share my GCams and you can report me bugs.
How to report bugs:
If possible, post on a thread for your phone or here if you can't find a thread for your phone. Please describe the issue and give details about your setup:
- Camera2 Test (included description)
- Phone, ROM, any fixes installed;
- Name of the apk you're using;
- Screenshots or video recordings of the bug if you're able to;
- A logcat if there's a crash (How to save a logcat: video guide, advanced guide);
- Steps to reproduce the bug/crash;
- Mention me;
- Your report will be ignored if no logs or a good explanation is provided.
- I will do my best to fix bugs, but keep in mind that this is a free port and I also have my personal life.
How can I translate GCam in my language?

When I open the app it just shows black screen, shutter button is not working.
Same in the case of portrait mode (black screen).
App crashes when switching to video.
Everything else is working fine except night sight.
Sorry I don't know how to take log.
Please Let me know if anything else required.

Works quite well on the Xperia X compact (unlocked bootloader, flashed to Omnirom by harryharryharry).
Issues I have noticed so far:
timelapse mode has a black viewfinder but does take slowed down videos
portrait mode refuses to take a picture with the front camera (the front camera does not have full camera2 api support on this device)
Overall, this is much better than the other ports I tried (some refused to start, others overheated the phone and didn't work)
Is there a way to set a custom resolution? In other ports this is handled by the xml profile, but I can't find anything similar in this app.

Hello, yesterday I flashed MIUI 8.1 Oreo and found a great GCam for it.
I highly recommend using MIUI If you plan to use this version of GCam.
The GCam mod is made by marlin-ku on celsoazevedo.
1) You must first enable Camera2API and root your device using Magisk.
2) Download the APK: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/gcamera/6.1.013_mega_3.05a_test_A8.apk

Front camera doesn't work, after 5.1 update of gcam. Their is no solution yet. This apk is also same story.
There is no reason to use this one over 5.1 by saneklic. Except night mode.
Everything works even front portrait and hdr in this version: https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-saneklic/
If someone is thinking about raw pictures, open camera is much better than this, that also comes with raw video recording.
it is working fine without the patcher.

Can't suggest for miui, i have never used it.
Sanelic versions worked best for me on other aosp roms.
works perfectly on xiaomi.eu MIUI 11
Well, using MIUI 11 by xiaomi.eu as well and the app works even without the rest, but damn if it isn't a resource hog. Honestly still not convinced whether night mode is worth the hassle. I have the Sanelic version installed as well and it it loads faster and lighter on the phone than this one. No night mode though
Hello everyone, I'm trying to install gcam on miui 10 but I can't enable camera2 api, can someone link me a tutorial? Thanks

What is Google Camera (AKA GCam)?
Google Camera is the camera app for the Google Nexus and Google Pixel phones. It is not designed or intended to be run on other phones.
What is HDR+?
HDR+ is Google's proprietary image processing routine. HDR+ employs image stacking to control exposure, and also to preserve details, reduce noise, increase sharpness, etc. It is an all-in-one package.
Installation instructions
Download APK to your Phone and Install it (No Root needed)

URNYX [6.2] v2.4

Urnyx version is a plug-and-play Camera app compatible with Xiaomi Mi 9T
ABOUT URNYX 6.4
+ Button to change between cameras
+- No XML's (Plug-and-Play)
- No EIS
- Video 60fps doesn't work
- Slow Motion Mode doesn't work
- Change to Main Lens to go to Settings or else will FC
- Lens Distortion in Ultrawide Lens
- Black Crush (it's actually exactly the same as on the Pixel 3 now)
- Focus Tracking is disabled on purpose (on 6.2 enabling it causes video mode to crash the app)
- Ultrawide is 12MP only (raw is saved with the full 16MP)
KNOWN BUGS:
- After using Tele camera, resolution goes down to 8MP also for main camera
- Crash if trying to access settings from other camera except main
URNYX VERSION CHANGELOG:
- Added Turkish and Greek translations
- Improved Spanish and Portuguese translations
- Slightly reduced apk size
- Vectorized some drawable icons and changed Pro/Auto button to the same style as Google's zoom button (thanks Arnova for tips and tricks)
- Fixed the problem due to which aux buttons were hidden by zoom button horizontally
- Added max brightness (thanks BSG)
FAQ GOOGLE CAM
I CAN'T INSTALL X VERSION, WHY?
Make sure you uninstall every other GCam Port on your phone. You can't have both versions installed.
HOW DO YOU SWITCH BETWEEN CAMERAS?
(6.2) Settings > Advanced > Auxiliary Camera and enable the Buttons
HOW DO YOU USE NIGHTSIGHT WITH THE DIFFERENT LENS ?
Select the lens in main mode, then switch to Night Mode
HOW DO YOU USE MANUAL FOCUS (SLIDER) ?
If you want to use it with enhanced HDR+, you need to disable focus tracking. Or else it will only work with regular HDR+.
Also the way it works is you set a focus distance, tap once into the viewfinder, then tap the shutter button.
WHY THE FRONT CAMERA IS 5MP AND BACK CAMERA 12MP ?
Selfie camera uses pixel binning, same as for the main sensor. Since camera2api implementation only delivers a 5MP raw stream (20MP/4 = 5MP because of pixel binning)
GCam can only work with what raw stream the API delivers.
HOW DO YOU TAKE PHOTOS FASTER ?
Enable HDR+ instead of HDR+ Enhanced
DOES GCAM WORK IN AOSP BASED ROMS ?
Yes

Thanks, just updated!
Awesome! Will try!
Does this phone have full support to camera2API including RAW support or does it share the same problem of MI9SE with camera raw buffer?
Honestly, for me, the best version is urnyx 5.3.015_Namok_urnyx05-1.0.
the selfie quality in night sight mode is the best I've seen. you can set Auto-correction hdr+ in Max speed so you shoot really fast and with night sight with some mindblowing results in low light conditions.
I use this version specifically for night time photos, really amazing result if you understand how to use its features.
The best result you can achieve with this one are selfies at night time with low light, you just activate night sight, flash on (lights a white screen) and hdr+ with max speed correction. Back camera night sight quality is also miles better than stock in low light condition.
Note: nigh sight is activated by touching on the square button (NS) on the bottom right corner of the viewfinder.
You can use my config XML file (attached) and place it in /sdcard/GCam/Configs. To import the config, double click on the black bottom area.

This one crashes for me a lot.
I got the latest GCam Arnova and it works with no crashes but it can only use 2 cameras at a time.
Why don't you fork the Arnova code and add an easy way to switch the 3 cameras?
The telecam is still pretty noisy in low light. I thought HDR+ would take care of that. Any settings I can try for that?

Which one what?
I have Mi 9T 128Gb.
Downloaded the apk from the link.
GCam-6.2.030_Arnova8G2_Urnyx05-v1.6.apk
Is there any official Telegram group for MI9T GCAM development?
You are probably using the version 1.6 from the first post. Had the same problem. Try this version:
https://mega.nz/#!5zIRUaYI!DNvtFoIZgiKruUWJSRf7JywekzaBLaaBikD0shpxmC8
This is version 1.7 which works fine for me. Especially low light shots are so much better than the stock camera. Nightsight mode literally blew me away.

Google Camera Port
Moto G30
A thread to discuss the Google Camera port on this device (Moto G30).
According to reports on Telegram and Reddit, GCam 7 from Wichaya and Nikita works (any apk should work):
- GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.1_Wichaya_V3.1.1
- NGCam_7.4.104-v2.0
GCam 8 also seems to work, at least versions from BSG:
If you're experiencing a green or pink tint, enable AWB (Auto White Balance). Simply swipe down in the viewfinder and you'll find the option there.
Explore the settings page to enable things like HDR controls (HDR+ Enhanced improves quality a lot), disable sounds, etc.
If you find a better version or have created a config, share it here to help other users!

Compatibility should be more or less the same across his GCam 8.x versions.
If you're asking which apk from that page, they're just different package names. Some brands need special package names to unlock all cameras, for example. The first one ("snap" or "snapcam") is often compatible with lots of phones. Different package names also means that you're able to have multiple GCams installed (no need to remove the one you already use, just install one with a different package name).
Regarding the picture preview, you might need the Google Photos app (no need to login) which is what GCam uses as gallery by default. But... I believe there's also a setting to use 3rd party galleries (check the settings). Keep in mind that not all gallery apps support GCam functionality (eg: motion photos) or handle the photo processing delay very well.
For video, as often happens, the stock camera app might be better when it comes to stabilisation. Some modes (eg: slow motion) have always been a problem with GCam too.
With this said... GCam 8 is still a bit behind GCam 7. The latest GCam isn't always the best GCam.

Does someone have a config for gcam on g30?
Do any of these gcams save to the sdcard ?
Hi guys, the NG-cam works great on my G30, but do you know a way to get the camera to use faster shutterspeeds? My gcam uses 1/30 too often, is there a way to default to 1/125s ??
