Not able to install gapps - Moto G4 Plus ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other De

Recently I have flashed arrow os 10 and now I want to flash gapps. But when I try to download it from the https://opengapps.org/
The file is downloaded as .bin file and .zip file.
Does anyone have solution for this?
I want to flash gapps through TWRP.

try to change extension from .bin to .zip that might help.
Note after changing extension open it through winrar and check wether it shows any error.

You have to download the *.zip file of gapps for flashing through TWRP

able to install it.. download zip on another phone and then transfer it and installed.

It's a flashable zip, boot into recovery, perform a wipe data/cache/dalvik cache and flash this
If you go into bootloop perform a wipe again after install :good:

[Q] [q] how to manually flash ota update

hello every one,i have desire 816 w (a5 dug j__15)
the problem is that i have downloaded ota official android update( 5.0.2) but because of having custom recovery,i couldnt use it,i simply copy the zip file to pc then flashed the stock recovery and put the update zip file back to download folder(where it has been before) on phone storage, then rebooted the phone, but it does not find update and when i check for new software update it says you have to download it,(it is already placed on download folder on phone storage)what should i do to not to download 839MB again?
i also tried updating from stock recovery but it says failed to map file
i flashed twrp and tried installing zip but it has error too,i'm really confused
thanks
That's easy you need a handy file manager on your phone (I personally use ES file explorer); put the complete OTA.zip somewhere else first. then hit download update, after a couple of minutes turn off your Wifi and mobile data, the download will be paused. now simply delete the small file in your file manager and replace it with your own complete file (names will naturally be the same, so no problem there). then turn on your internet again, it will recognize the file and proceed with update without further download.

twrp flashable img file UL-Z018-WW-80.20.96.109-user-Zenfone 3 Deluxe ZS550KL-oreo

I was trying to flash the update for android oreo 8.0 UL-Z018-WW-80.20.96.109-user-zip with twrp recovery but
it didn't work so I've extract the system-img and boot-img from the zip file and flashing with twrp worked just fine,
if it helps here are the files.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PV_0UB4MGFvu8a1tM6BKpOQErQeLlmxg/view?usp=sharing
just put it on your sd-card and flash boot-img then system-img ,this will remove twrp and install factory recovery as well .
hi,
Thanks. Could you please explain me how to do this from UL-Z018-WW-80.20.96.109-user.zip ?
Best regards,
German,

[SOLVED] Trying to get stock recovery back

Hi, I flashed TWRP to be able to install magisk on my friend's Honor 7x (BND-L21 C432) and now that magisk is flashed and configured I want to go back to the stock recovery. I've downloaded the update.zip with the Firmware Finder app, and I've extracted the recovery_ramdisk.img from the UPDATE.APP file.
But once flashed (with fastboot) I can't access it, it gives me ERROR MODE, like if the img was invalid.
Any help?
Thanks!
Did you download and flashed the correct build file? Which recovery you flashed?

I was using correct version, but I wasn't using HuaweiUpdateExtractor. After using it to get the img it worked well.
Thanks!

this install zip, should restore the recovery-from-boot.p file, the file that causes stock recovery to be replaced. I have not confirmed on this device but it is a generic solution that should work.

Thanks anyway, I was able to *correctly* extract the img file
What does that file exactly? Is there a backup of the recovery on the phone?? I assuming we're talking about normal recovery, not the second eRecovery thing, right?

Stock Android has a feature to make a recovery image from the boot.img. By checking the contents of the recovery partition and comparing a checksum. When the sum does not match, the file "recovery_from_boot.p" takes over and builds it's own recovery image.
When you install twrp and "swipe to allow system modification" that file gets renamed to end with ".bak"
This zip file verifies the recovery script is on the phone e, and if it is, it will remove the .bak extension . That makes the system .restore (make) stock recovery on the next boot up
Thanks for the info!

Question Root disappeared after updating Havoc OS

Hey guys!
I currently use Havoc OS V4.16 on my One Plus 9 Pro (LE2123). After the update to this version I realized that my Root Access vanished. Is there an easy way to restore it without wiping off my data?
I'm very unexperienced in this topic so please be patient with me for I want to know more about this.
Best regards
when you upgrade a rom the boot.img gets replaced. magisk (root) is installed into the boot.img, thus why root access is lost.
to get root back simply flash the magisk zip via twrp again. you won't lose your data or anything.
Thank you for your support. I installed TWRP and the next problem I am facing is that the touch screen is not responsive. I used the latest version of TWRP (3.6.1_11-0-lemonadep.img) but I'll need to get a USB adapter to connect my mouse to my smartphone in order to proceed.
Where do I find the Magisk .img that I need to flash with TWRP?
Download this:
Downloading Magisk App... | Magisk Manager
The download will automatically start in 5 seconds, please click here to access the download URL directly. If you are confused and want to know how to install the Magisk Manager on your phone you can click here.
magiskmanager.com
After downloading this (on your phone), rename it as a .zip file instead of an .apk file. Now install/flash this zip using twrp.

Could not get TWRP running. I flashed the Magisk.zip file with adb sideload. Worked perfectly fine.
Regarding TWRP: Even with an OTG adapter the mouse did not react at all. Even the lights on the mouse did not turn on so I had to figure out another way (as usual). Anyway thank you so so much for your help!
