Seems like there could be conflict seeing as how they both seem to be backing up the same data.

You can choose which service to restore the data from during initial setup. Also the Google backup will be used for apps that use it.. P1ersonally myself I never had any conflicts at all by backing up to both.
I only backup my messages. But since using the note 10+ I've been backing up to Samsung only because it specifically states it backs up RCS messages. Otherwise, I'd always just use Google.

In my opinion, you can choose one to take backup. And if there is a computer, you can also back up data on your Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to computer. When you lose or delete data, you can recover from backup files on computer directly.

I prefer computer/sd card backup. Both Google Transport and Samsang backup are power/data hogs.
They will slow down internet speed and consume battery. Goggle Transport is forever screwing around in the background.
I disable both. On a clean load I want complete control over the reload especially if it was because of a crash.

I finally made way to downgrade my htc dhd 2.37 .
now anyone please suggest me which rom to flash and kernels etcs
I am using softbank movule network
after I downgraded my 3G network is not working..
what should I do?? please suggest
With softBank you need to be using the correct APN otherwise you can get charged the wrong amount for Data costs. (At least this was the case with Windows Mobile and SoftBank.) If you are not sure after changing things I would switch off mobile data until you are. See Below.

Always backup your original rom using a backup program like Rom Manager which you can use with a rooted phone.
(Label it SoftBank original rom or something. This is peace of mind in case the phone has to be repaired and go back to SoftBank etc.)
You can use a program like APN Backup & Restore to save your SoftBank APN (to SD Card) and then restore it immediately and every time you change roms. (So you can connect to the net/ 3G etc.)
This is important with SoftBank or any carrier.
You can Google `apn backup and restore apk' if you can't access the market with your phone.
Take a look around at rom screenshots to get a feel of the look you are hoping for.
My site has a few screenshot examples here and a list of roms here.
If this was helpful - please give me a thumbs up.
Hello folks. So yesterday I was tinkering around with my phone in an attempt to load the jelly bean ROM. I am new to the world of ROM's and things, so I made sure I did my research before going into the new ROM. I got everything backed up (so I thought), and flashed the jelly bean ROM. The screen just sat there doing nothing until I got rid of it and restored my backup from CWM.
Now every time I boot, I get a screen that says "Unfortunately, Factory Test has stopped" and it cancels out wifi and I have no lock screen/power off menu. I found a solution on XDA that said to look in the EFS file for a certain folder, but when I went into my /efs folder, this is what I saw.

So there is nothing in my EFS file unless I'm reading this wrong. And I was stupid enough to save my original absolutely clean version from EFS Pro on the internal memory which I wiped. I have another backup which I think might also be corrupted on my computer from the Galaxy s3 toolkit.
The strange thing is that from what I've read, EFS corruption leads to the phone being useless with no functionality. Mine is almost totally functional, minus the Factory Test coming up.
Help please?!!
Bump. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Any ideas to shoot around at all.

If your /efs folder is missing/empty try this:
Get back to stock
Open Dialer

hi, i recently tried installing the stock ics sms app, it was pretty good but i missed calling by bringing the phone to my ear. here is where the issue is. i uninstalled the stock ics sms app which i recently installed and for some reason in my app drawer there is still a shadow for the app. now, when trying to restore the backup of the original one, titanium backup is not giving me the option to restore but i see the backup in the verify backups section (but its crossed out). how do i get this restored? i even see the backup files in the backup folder.
i have put images of the shadowed app icon and the titanium backup issues.

Why in the world is the CyanogenMod 12.1 file manager using my data network? I don't use it for network operations. Heck, I didn't even know it was capable of network access.
This worries me a bit, as it looks a lot like malware behavior.

One day I wanted to do a photo booth @ a movie theater. I got scared, as I used fing from the market, and the photo booth had an ip address!
Probably the same reason you're investigating.

I don't know about this stuff, but I know that CM has an optional account setup when installing their roms. I would think it has something to do with that, (collecting usage info, etc.). Although 10mb seems like a lot... How long have you been running it?

I was running it for less than a week when I noticed this, and I have mobile data turned off most of the time. I have never signed up for a CyanogenMod account.
Another puzzling tidbit: According to the App Info screen, File Manager doesn't even have permission to access the network.
So my beloved Tab S finally died recently due to accidental damage. I have wept every night since. :'(
Jk but seriously, I miss it badly. I had the perfect setup on LineageOS and everything working nicely, then it fell off the arm of the sofa and smacked the screen hard. Cracked badly and the digitizer is also broken. I was able to complete a full backup in TWRP using the adb shell, so I'm pretty happy with that.
My new device is a Huawei Mediapad M3. It's the best tablet at the same kind of screen ratio I could find. Decent price too. I've not been able to unlock the bootloader or root it just yet, but I expect to have this done shortly.
My question for you guys is how can I extract my apps from the backed up data partition in my TWRP backup from my Tab S to my Mediapad?
I can easily access the data archive by renaming the file extension to .tar and opening in winrar, but when I copied a single app folder to my phone (just to test it) the app did not appear in the app drawer after restarting.
Has anyone here had experience extracting apps from TWRP backups successfully?
Basically you are looking for /Data/yourappname/ and /sdcard/Android/yourappname folders.
I would suggest first install yourappname.apk, then when it will make folder structure in mentioned above paths, copy your backup data for yourappname over and restart. That should do it.
PS: but for dealing with /Data partition you need root access in your new tab. Also , pay attention for attributes of the files copied over.
Yes, you can restore your apps with titanium backup and a twrp backup.
