Downgrading through MacOS Catalina - Error - Redmi Note 8 Pro Questions & Answers

I downloaded the correct files and put them all into one folder. I did the correct methods, however, flash_all.sh wouldn't work. The error goes along these lines...
Missmatching image or device.
So it wouldn't downgrade. I am on 11.0.5 QGGMIXM MIUI 11 and have tried going down to both 11.0.2 and 11.0.6 PGGMIXM MIUI 11, the missmatching error came up twice. I used terminal and all the correct commands. What I've done is similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBDwATsAAts
EDIT: Not a Chinese device, but sent my device into bootloop with a usable fastboot so I'm running a VM to use Mi Flash. Wish me luck!
I was wondering, what if when I bought my device, it was originally on CN ROM, so they moved it over to global ROM. If that is so, how do I know for sure and should I be able to downgrade at all?

if it's not arp or invalid variant,
have you tried force flashing?
btw it may brick so it's better to have backup and factory preloader and lk a9. if you're already a10 then proceed and if something went wrong you can look for da and auth file to skip authorized account edl from sp flash.

just follow this, use the flash-all to go back to stock then relock when its all set
unlocking/relocking wipes your data so backup whats necessary

Is this true? I'm seeing other posts says that you need to use the MSM tool in this scenario. Unfortunately, I only have a Mac so I can't run MSM.

Did you get this to work?
I Have tried this several times on my Tmobile version op7t and every time I get to step 7,8,9 and flash-all (with Indian version 10 or Global version10), I end up with my Tmobile Stock 10.3 version of Android, and the wifi does not work. The only way to get the wifi back is to MSMDownload Tool the original stock version which locks the bootloader back up and I'm back with TMobile version 10.3. I downloaded the Fastboot version they suggested. Any ideas why it's not working and reverting back to my original version of Android 10.3?

I was having a similar issue. Either the 10.0.9 version was the problem or I was making the error of manually navigating to the fastboot menu when a recovery type language select screen came up (black background with white logo and text). This screen would appear after flash-all.bat had mostly run through and the "Invalid sparse file format at header magic" was the latest output in command prompt.
What worked for me was to use version 10.0.8 and to not touch the phone until I saw the usual blue setup screen.

Thanks so much. So perhaps I try 10.0.8. Can you confirm the exact 10.0.8 build you used? Global? Indian?

I used the Global build here. I followed this guide minus steps 1, 2, and rooting. I also downloaded and used the latest platform tools from google and I did not overwrite them at any step in the process.

OK thanks so much. Do you think it makes any difference what OS I start from before attempting to move to 10.0.8? Right now I'm on Tmobile 10.0.10.HD63CB, but I see an option for a minor OTA update to 10.0.11.HD63CB

I don't know. I believe that was the same build I was running before flashing.

SUCCESS!... Using 10.0.8 did the trick... and I was able to root with Magisk Canary as well. Now I can update to Global 10.0.12. THANKS SO MUCH.
UPDATE - I forgot that I have to re-root after updating OS to 10.0.12. I was able to do that using the latest boot img from this thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...t-international-magisk-patched-t4053945/page5
If you're on oxygen os ,then just flash a downgradeable oxygen os rom by using the local upgrade feature ,then just use the all in one tool or try the fastboot comand of oem locking it should unroot your phone and relock the boot loader ,relocking doesn't work on latest version of oxygen os..

Question help me to flash stock rom

now i'm using lineage os and i don't like it , i tried to flash arrow os it gives me error 7
now i have to flash stock miui again to be able to flash arrowos , the problem is that i was using stock 12.5
i'm just afraid to hardbrick the device
so it's fine to flash 12.0.3.0 after using miui 12.5?
also my anti rollback showes "1" with the
as of this thread they say don't flash with anit rollback 1
Alioth ARB Anti Rollback error in MiFlash
EDIT: i'm really not sure about the correctness of this now. I'll leave the thread up as a sort of guide, but you'll need to do your own checks on ARB. Sorry, i read a couple of threads and thought i had it clear, but now i am not so sure...
forum.xda-developers.com
edit , ok guys i flashed 12.0.3.0 successfully , i faced a couple of problems while using mi flash like crclist , but it's solvable by edting the flash_all.bat
and reflashing
Use MiFlash tool. It has a safety security for ARB, so if it flashes then all it is good.
Download the required miui version (there are threads here with links)
Also download miflash (Google for link)
Flash miui using miflash
Keep in mind to select "clean all" before flashing (miflash defaults to "clean all and lock" everytime. You do not want that)
As long as you're not locking the bootloader, you can flash any version of miui for your device i.e. even versions not meant for your region. All the miui versions currently are anti rollback 1 (same as your device)
Anti rollback (arb) will only start becoming a problem once your device reaches arb 2 or higher. Then you need to make sure the version of miui you're flashing has arb equal to or greater than your device arb. Miflash has built in checks that will prevent you from flashing versions with lower arb
Also sidenote: I flashed arrow just fine over 12.5 so you don't have to flash 12.0.3 (arrow thread also doesn't specify any specific firmware version iirc)
Hello friend, a week ago the same thing happened to me, what I tried was to remove the atirollback lines without success.
The solution was to flash it with a pc with an intel processor, since when I did it from amd it gave me that annoying anti rollback error, I don't know what it has to do but in intel I flashed it the first time and if problems even the anti rollback message disappeared, I hope and help you.
Try xiaomi.eu. it is MIUI (it's has the latest MIUI features picked from the Chinese MIUI) but easy to flash (through TWRP) and unlikely to brick device

Trying to flash firmware to MediaPad, please help!

I am trying to flash firmware on to Huawei MediaPad M2-801L.
I have a number of issues:
Can't get into device to enable Developer Options, there is a firmware problem not allowing me to do this.
I don't have an unlocked bootloader
Using fastboot commands to flash device keeps giving me this error: FAILED (remote: 'Command not allowed'). (I have installed Android Studio, and I am doing the commands within the "platform_tools" folder, with the relevant files to flash the device with).
I have even tried to install twrp with no avail
I have researched the internet for hours yesterday, trying different methods to try and get my tablet back up and running again. Every method I tried, I seemed to bump into many errors along the way.
I can get into fastboot mode and download mode. I have tried using QFIL, however I don't have a RawProgram and Patch file.
Is there something I'm missing? Can anyone guide me in the right direction if possible?
Thanks in advance!

Anti-Rollback Check Error

Hello.
I unlocked my Mi 10T Lite Global and then flashed the Pixel Experience custom ROM on it. Now I want to go back to Stock ROM but I encountered the "Anti Rollback Check Error" problem in Mi Flash. The MIUI ROM version of my device was 12.5.8.0 RJSMIXM before flashing the Pixel Experience, so I downloaded the same version from xiaomifirmwareupdater, but now that I want to flash it with MI Flash, I get an Anti Rollback Check Error warning. The Anti Rollback index in fastboot mode for my device is 1 (fastboot getvar anti), but this index in the flash_all.bat file is 0 (CURRENT_ANTI_VER)
I read in the XDA article and if I understand correctly, the reason for the anti-rollback protection on Xiaomi devices is to prevent downgrading to older versions, and flashing the ROM with a smaller anti-rollback index than the device by Custom Recovery will cause the device to Hard brick. But I just want to go back to the previous version of Stock MIUI ROM from Pixel Experience and I do not want to downgrade.
Now my question is, if I flash this fastboot ROM with a smaller index of my device through TWRP, even though I do not intend to downgrade, is there still a possibility that my device will be hard bricked? And All the fastboot ROMs provided in Xiaomifirmwareupdater for my device have a smaller Anti-Rollback index (CURRENT_ANTI_VER = 0) than the current version of my device (fastboot getvar anti = 1), so how can I get back to stock MIUI ROM?!
Take a look at my install post on the Elixir forum. I went from PE to stock and then Elixir so if you follow that until flashing MIUI you should get back to stock.
Worked for me, of course YMMV but should be fine.
you have also on google must find, I do that on Poco f2 pro, but that was last ear and I forget, in script flash.all you need to open it and delete couple of rows thats contains antirol protection.. but you must google it

OnePlus 7T Wifi broken after re-flashing stock rom

So I tried rooting my OnePlus 7T yesterday and first downgraded from android 12 to 10 (build number Oxygen OS 10.0.13.HD64BA), then tried to root it and I ended up getting a screen that said QUALCOM Crashdump Mode. After trying to search for an answer how to fix it, I tried to re-flash the phone with the stock rom, which I got from here taking the latest Europe version - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...t-stock-fastboot-roms-for-oneplus-7t.3979213/
I entered fastboot mode, and ran flash-all but when I watched a video on how to do it, I was taken to a different screen. I think I was maybe the advanced boot options screen (I had to pick a language then reboot to fastboot or recovery). After rebooting, I unlocked the phone and the wifi is now broken.
I saw a guide on here that said I had to do something about important partitions (not sure what that means), so I'm not sure I am correctly re-flashing the phone from the correct stock rom and can't find a thread that makes total sense to me. Any help would be great

Thanks for the help again.
I've downloaded the EU 10.0.13 MSM tools (as I downgraded my oneplus 7T to this) and it told me "device not match image"
What version of MSM do I need? I checked other links attached on similar forms and more often I only see an option for 7T for 10.0.03 or 10.0.15. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...l-to-restore-your-device-to-oxygenos.3994835/
One of them should fit.
Or, if only WiFi is broken, upgrade to 11.0.5.1. and use the MSM Tool for that.
What's you're phone? HD1903?
I think you've flashed the wrong Firmware like India on Europe or vice versa.
Ignore me, I got it to work using a different MSM version (10.0.15). Will go back and try follow your instructions to root as best I can
