The problem It's only with the July security patch. But you can no longer downgrade the software, now you have another binary. The only option you have left is to wait, or write to SamKEY support to solve your problem. So they can make it compatible with the latest versions of android.

Get rid of your IMEI number from your post. You never want to post that publicly.

Its nothing to do with Samkey. It maybe a new bootloader was released in the latest samsung updates preventing everyone from going back to previous version of software.

the fact that hes in here posting help for sometjing that samkey provides as a paid service that im sure no one in here knows exactly how they do it in the fiest place since if they did they wouldnt need to pay for it with samkey then he should ask them directly for help or why etc. as they are the only ones that could help him really..
but yes, if bl/rev was incremented we can assume they changed something that broke it and yes, if rev was incremented u cannot downgrade, this has been a thing for years n years now..
so the last part of ur comment, yes, samsung puts something in every firmware when they increment the revision that prevents u from downgrading, that likely doesnt matter tho since they probably added some security or changed something that broke the way samkey changes the csc so it is entirely on samkey thanks to samsung and samkey will have to fix/update their methods

I got the same error, wrote on support and their answer is:" Mr. Amin17:07 Not supported". I changed csc in May and it worked fine, it doesnt work now. I also tried downgrade FW but it stuck at boot.img (odin).

Your device firmware security versionis Bit3 not supported by samkey or any other 3rd party tool at the moment. Next time check samkey.org if your model is supported first. Also use ebay sellers like STAI30 who can help you with technical questions and sells 1 or 2 credits if you dont need 3.

Samsung frequently updates their firmware security and once you have upgraded there is no way to go back to an earlier security version. You can tell your security version by checking the first number after the letters following the device model number eg. G981NKSU1ATED model is G981N then the letters KSU follow and then the security bit which in this case is 1. For G988B if you check supported models at samkey.org you will find that BIT 3 IS NOT SUPPORTED so if you check your firmware and haave a 3 or higher at the security bit location it wont work. You just have to wait until samkey updates to support it. Usually all the 3rd party tools have the same limitations so chimera tool also does not support bit 3 etc. You can get the cheapest samkey credits from user stai30 on ebay any quantity from 1 credit and up

SAMKey now supports the latest firmware versions. Please try again

I was able to change CSC cheaper (as low as $2.99) with samkey, i found an ebay supplier selling 1 credit and 2 credit packs. Follow links to the items below.

Is it safe to flash A505F firmware on the A505FN device? As far as I know, the only difference is NFC.
And is it possible to void the warranty by doing this?
I tried Smart Switch a few times, but no updates.

Hi thanks for your reply.
Should I need to remove all accounts, and make a factory reset first?
Smart Switch only will provide you the newest firmware in the same line, not an option to use other different firmware from a different region.
Ever is recommended to do a factory reset/format data before to "switch" to other firmware and make a backup before to restore it in just minutes with SS.
Install Phone Info(Samsung) and there you will find the CSC availables for your device before to change the firmware (most of the international models are multi_CSC compatible), search for the regions and compare them here https://www.****************/2017/0...specific-product-code-csc-and-country-region/ if some of them is convenient for you then you can flash it, check before your bootloader version, I think all are now in v1 but check it before to go further.

Yes, you usually can (I switched a lot of times) but you could find some issues regarding to radio/baseband depending on how different they´re.
Take a backup before using Smart Switch, take note of your actual firmware in a safe place if something goes wrong and don´t forget to enable USB debugging and OEM unlock before to go.

Hey, what's the model of your device? Is it FN, or F? Because Indian firmware is A505F, so I don't know if I can flash A505F firmware on my FN device.

My model is A505F. I don't think you may install F on FN. It may work but you may have several problem with correct functionality of the phone or even brick it.

F firmware on an FN device should be ok afaik, but I believe you'll loose NFC
Also keep in mind that INS csc has this string in cscfeature_network.xml
<CscFeature_Message_ConfigImeiTracker>+919560345888,+918424098931,+919176905802</CscFeature_Message_ConfigImeiTracker>
I remember that this was a problem on custom roms for the old A-series since all roms for some reason added INS csc, so a bunch of users in europe got charged extra for messages to india if they didn't remove that from cscfeatures..
Not sure if it still acts the same, but I can confirm that the string is there in INS csc for A50.

Thank you.
There is finally firmware with July patch for FN versions of this device, so probably I'll wait few days, because only 5 countries in Europe got an update to the newest version, skipping June security patch, but I hope we'll have new features in the camera.

Change CSC on N975W

Does anyone know how to correctly change CSC on the Canadian N975W? I purchased a used Note 10+ that the previous user bought from Samsung direct but had a Bell sim so the CSC shows BMC and has bell bloatware. I'm trying to change it to KDO but no luck with any firmwares yet. Any ideas or steps I'm missing?
Tried both KDO and XAC firmware but the file names seem that they're the exact same from both updato and SamFirm.
Using patched odin and everything loads fine - using CSC not the Home CSC.

Only in the same muti-csc rom can change
Go to http://www.samkey.org/ to buy SamKey CodeReader – 15 points is $ 45 USD, and there are split sales on some trading platforms for about 3 points $ 6.6 This is what you want to do
Download the SamKey program on its website, and download the driver together if necessary

Samsung Watches is bigger problem if you kill the """WiFi Security chain"""...

Hi, I have SM-R805F bought in Czech rep. Can I use these instructions for downgrade my firmware to change my region (I want Samsung Pay)? I have saved my eSIM in my watches now - after flashning it will stay there or will be deleted? Thanks a lot
@ohajo3
Yes you can. Do not reset networks after flash during setup. Esim will stay.
I changed my CSC to Australia to get the Samsung Pay but this disabled VoLTE on my watch. I m now not able to call or receive any calls. I m from India. Watch was originally purchased in Australia.
During this process I was prompted for update which I did and now I m stuck with 4.0.0.7 version and no way to change the CSC back to INU using shell access way.
Only way now looks to use the combination firmware and Odin. But not sure where to find the Combination Firmware for SM-R805F LTE version.
Anyone or @adfree can point me to right direction to get the right required binaries ?
My device details
AP : R805FXXU1FSL4
CP: R805FXXU1FSL4
CSC: R805FOXX1FSL4
LTE version.
Can anyone help with the right binary I should use to downgrade?
These are my device details:
AP : R805FXXU1FSL4
CP: R805FXXU1FSL4
CSC: R805FOXX1FSL4
LTE version.
Not able to find combination firmware for this version. Not very sure which one I should use.
Thanks in advance.
@madono
You wish to have India INU?
http://fota-cloud-dn.ospserver.net/firmware/INU/SM-R805F/version.test.xml
IMHO seems INU require OXX package...
Here are 2 OXX packages:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79644543&postcount=1
According to DBT list... they are before Tizen 4.0.0.7
So please try these 2 firmwares... with the old method to change CSC...
So IMHO no Combination Firmware required...
Only downgrade...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
Sorry, my fault...
Links expired.
Edit 2.
Oh, totally forgotten...
Latest FTC1 for OXX region is here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=82893207&postcount=55
INU inside this OXX region.
@adfree Thanks for the links! I m downloading it right now. Speed is slow, not sure if I will be able to download it in one go. Is there any expiry for this download link? If I m not able to download today, will try tomorrow again.
Another question for downgrade, do I have to choose all four files , namely, BL, AP, CP, CSC to downgrade?
I have not done a galaxy watch downgrade before so wanted to be sure not to mess it.
I actually wanted to have Samsung Pay and LTE enabled. It was working fine using Australia CSC code but my Phone operator recently changed calling only on VoLTE. So i was not able to receive calls or call anyone. Only internet was working using AU CSC.
Now it seems I have to choose between calling and Samsung Pay. SP is not officially launched on Galaxy Watch in India. Only on smartphone it is allowed. Not sure why.
Thank you once again!
Regards,
madono
Hi @adfree,
I downloaded the firmware from the link. Today was bit hard day at work so not trying to update watch.
Will try it out with fresh mind tomorrow. Just need couple of things cleared before I try it.
1. In firmware download steps, it is mentioned to only use BL, AP, CSC file?
Downloaded rar has 4 files. Is this fine?
And final one this is my current watch status
AP : R805FXXU1FSL4
CP: R805FXXU1FSL4
CSC: R805FOXX1FSL4
Watch is LTE model.
I m good to go ahead with said firmware?
@adfree please review, don't want to mess this one. I know there is always risk but want to use correct firmware.
Thanks for the help!

This link has 4.0.0.7

After download I was still on 4.0.0.7 and looks like my CSC was still pointing to AU
I used this link to downgrade : https://www.file-upload.net/download...E3_OXX.7z.html
Then SDB command to change CSC from AU to India
Thanks to @adfree
One thing I observed that my eSIM was not reset. I was expecting it will be removed when I downgrade. Looks like it is left alone in this process.
Not sure if there is any way to enable Samsung Pay without changing CSC. Missing SP very much in current time.

Did I correct understand:
To change CSC by old method (with SDB) it is needed:
1. Flash with Odin all 4 files (early Firmware)
2. Change CSC with SDB
3. Install Samsung Pay
4. Flash with Odin all 4 files (latest firmware) back to FSL4
and Samsung Pay will stay?

Unlock ATT Note10+ 5G update outside USA (SM-N976U)

Hello,
I am new to the unlocking stuff.
I just bought a used ATT Note10+ 5G in Malaysia, model SM-N976U
However the security patch was stuck in May 2020. It could not be updated over the internet or Smart Switch PC.
It says it is the latest s/w (the latest should be July 2020)
I checked Sammobile and discovered 2 firmware updates : USA(TMK) and USA (T-mobile)(TMB)
(tried to include sammobile link here but was disallowed due to new user status)
Which firmware is suitable for my phone?
Is there a way to unlock ATT and receive the normal monthly security update over the internet automatically?
(i saw Odin in youtube and have basic idea how to flash it)
Appreciate any advice. Thank you

Hello,
I am new to the unlocking stuff.

A thread already exists with the answers to your questions.

No unbranded firmware version exists as of yet.. so you will have to flash a carrier specific firmware.

Thank for for the link provided.
Based on the link information, i can download the 4 base files from sammobile (either TMK or TMB) and add USERDATA ATT N976USQS3BTF4 to flash it.
Is that correct?
I could find USERDATA ATT N976USQS3BTF4 in easy-firmware website with a purchase fee.
(editied: My phone Active CSC Code is XAA, CSC Country is USA)

Fellow Malaysian having the same problem as you. But my problem now is that I have Odin and the latest firmware (XAA) but Odin is showing failed to establish connection. How did you do it with yours?
Am using the AT&T version of the Note 10+.

Never experienced the failed connection before.
Have you installed the SAMSUNG-drivers ? The Samsung Smart Switch PC installation might help to fix the drivers.

Just want to share my experience in this. Bought an ATT N976U from the US and using in Malaysia. Phone came with XAA/XAA/ATT and never received OTA updates.
Downloaded Google phone app and changed CSC to TMB/TMB/ATT using *#*#27262826#*#*
Voila. Received the OTA updates one by one since May2020. Am now on N976USQU5EUC2.
Volte is also working on Celcom.
Did not have to flash firmware. Data not wiped. Everything seemed to be working normal apart from "Tips and Help" in settings crashes every time I click it. Also phone boots with T-Mobile logo now.

Question Changing CSC for free using SamFW Tool | No Root required! - A brief guide!

As the title suggests, I was able to successfully change the CSC on my factory unlocked (unbranded) Fold 3 - F926B/DS bought in Germany with OXM firmware having Android 13 & one UI 5.0 from EUX to INU csc using SamFW Tool v3.31 in hardly 2-3 mins. Kindly note that I also looked into other options to do this like Samkey tool (paid service) and alliance shield app (which doesn't work anymore) etc before engaging with the SamFW Tool as none were simple/working with no complications whatsoever involved.
My main objective to change the CSC was to enable call recording and couple of other features (including some pleasant surprises listed in the end of the post) which were available in the INU csc with little to no hassle. The process was pretty simple, straight forward and most importantly, FREE . It DOESN'T require any factory reset, flashing of roms or wiping cache partition before or after the process.
The step by step guide process which worked for me is as follows:
STEP 1: Click here - SamFW Tool Download - to download the latest version of SamFW tool.
STEP 2: Remove the sim card and connect your phone to a computer and make sure the phone's drivers are installed.
STEP 3: Unzip the downloaded file. Right click on the file SamFwFRPTool.exe and 'Run as Administrator'.
STEP 4: After the software opens, make sure your phone is detected before proceeding. If its detected, click on ADB tab in the software.
STEP 5: In your phone, go to developer options and enable 'usb debugging'.
STEP 6: In your phone, open phone dialer and type *#0*# to get into test mode. Leave the phone unlocked and keep it aside now.
STEP 7: Click on 'Change CSC' button in the ADB tab of the tool. Now the tool will connect to your phone, check and list the available CSCs which your phone model supports as shown in the pic attached.
STEP 8: Choose a CSC which you wish to change to from the drop down menu in the pop-up window as shown in the pic attached.
NOTE: The tool also has the option to force the phone to accept a CSC not listed/supported as well by manually entering the same. However, I would not recommend doing it if you really wish to get OTA updates and also to evade any unforeseen issues. I must admit, I haven't frankly tried this and do not know what lies in the pandora box to be honest.
STEP 9: After choosing the CSC from the drop down, the tool quickly connects to the phone, changes the CSC and restarts the phone.
STEP 10: After the phone restarts, unlock the phone using your pin/password, insert your simcard, check the change of CSC in software information, disconnect the phone from the computer and also disable the 'usb debugging' in the developer options.
That's it! All done. Phone restarts with the new chosen CSC and the related features will now be active!
BONUS: There is also an option in the ADB tab in the SamFW Tool named 'Battery information' which gives the complete information of the battery status including the 'charge/discharge cycles' along with its temperature, voltage etc. like in the pic attached. Do note that the information shown in the 'Genuine battery' section isn't correct for some reason and always shows as 'NO' for any phone with/without genuine battery.
With my choice of INU csc the following major changes/surprises were noticed over the EUX:
1. Call recording and a couple of other INU specific features are now enabled (google for more info on what csc enables what features).
2. Not sure why but Battery backup has increased significantly after the csc change to INU. SOT (Screen On Time) which has fallen to 3-4 hrs after the OTA update to One Ui 5.0 & Android 13 is now back to 5-7hrs or more.
3. RAM management has definitely got better. With EUX csc it used be around 5-6GB during standby and now its always around 3-4GB when the phone is idle.
4. Instead of 4G or 4G+, now it shows LTE and LTE+.
5. Mobile data speed has increased both in 5G (Jio True5G network) and in LTE+ when compared to EUX CSC.
6. 5G signal strength has improved drastically. Signal loss or switching to 4G+/LTE+ is very low now.
7. 5G to 4G/LTE switching while calls (VoLTE/VoNR) is more seamless now. Latching back onto 5G network after a call is a breeze now unlike earlier with EUX csc.
8. Phone definitely got faster for some reason. Can very much feel the difference when switching between apps, multi-tasking, even opening/closing apps and other day-to-day tasks.
etc...
Haven't tested whether the OTA updates will still get pushed after the change in CSC yet, as my phone is already updated to the latest patch as I write this. Should absolutely work IMO as long as we choose a CSC which the phone supports but in any case will update the thread once the next update via OTA is available/pushed by Samsung.
Disclaimer: Please be informed that all the above information is purely based on experience of using the tool for changing CSC only which worked well for me with my Fold 3. Cannot take responsibility if it doesn't work for you.
Does it work for Fold 4. Want to change CSC from Korean Region to INU (India). Please guide
Sorry, haven't tried it on Fold 4. Logically it shud work, I guess. There is no harm in connecting n checking what CSCs does ur model supports using the tool IMO.
Tried out but it does not work. It shows only the Korean csc. Even that seems to be not changing
Oh k. I think the tool works, else u wudnt b seeing the CSC which ur phone supports.
I have checked sources in the web as well on this and looks like Fold 3 or 4 with Korean CSC supports only CSC from Korea.
I guess u can still force a CSC on to it replacing the Korean one but thats too risky as u will b missing OTA updates and im not aure wat all things it will mess up.
Awesome! It works and it doesn't wipe the device. I just switched from G975U VZW to CCT without any issues.

Happy to hear that. BTW I also got samsung pay/wallet to work as well by installing its apk file today after changing the system language to a local one specific to the changed CSC i.e., English (India) for INU CSC in my case.
I confirm that it is working on a stock android 13! Great tool!
(It worked on the second try though )
Has anyone tired it on a Fold 4, Mine is XAA and I want to convert it to INU. Haven't been abe to do it as yet.
Let me know if someone finds a way, mine is a US version and I want to convert it to the India CSU.
Thanks in advance

Oh great. Getting otas after the change?
Does OTA work after change?
Hello, can somebody please briefly summerise the options for switching the CSC/Firmware?
I read other threads and this one and now am confused which method actually would work for me.
My situation: i have a Samsung A52s 5G purchased from Deutsche Telekom in Germany, sold separately, not bundled with a contract.
And i am having a contract with a different carrier on a different network, but a german SIM card.
My phone is configured all english, and i need to keep that.
Because of assumed network optimisations and the problem of delayed updates of "branded" phones, i would like to convert the phone from the current CSC of DTM to the DBT using fimrware (A528BXXS1DVL2/A528BOXM1DVK5/A528BXXU1DVK5/A528BXXS1DVL2), which i hope would link me to updates directly provided by Samsung.
I found "https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...official-firmware-all-samsung-device.2697238/" and "https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-multi-csc-codes.4436853/page-5#post-87485577 ", but i am not sure whther the methods described there only apply for UPDATING (within the same CSC) the phone with non-OTA methods, or whether that also covers SWITCHING the CSC?
In the end i have two questions:
1) So far i believed that "simply" putting an official stock Samsung firmware (multi CSC in my case, containing the DBT, but apparently NOT containing the DTM) would bring me there.
But then i read that this might not be suffficient. Instead i also would have to switch the CSC in my Phone's config, which apparently would require purchasing a license for a Samkey unlock code.
Because otherwise i would not receive any OTA updates once i switched just the firmware.
Is that actually true?
I would prefer not to have to buy a Samkey...
And to make the confusion even bigger: now i read, SamFw Tool would also be an option?
But: is that trustworthy? And: from posts of some of you: this might even obsolete to switch the firmware, do i understand that right?
2) If switching firmware still is required: would using Odin/Heimdall be the only option to switch the firmware, or would adb sideloading do the same job as well? I am asking because i don't have access to a windows machine.
Would be so great if someone of you could untangle my confusion a bit, thank you.

Did not automatically receive the OTA updates with the recent DVL9 update. However, tried a work around to change the CSC back to EUX via the same tool (which is a 2 min task) to check if I can get OTA again.
And yes it worked! immediately after changing the OTA to its home CSC, was able to see OTA in the updates section of the phone. So, I updated the phone to the latest version (DVL9) and then changed the CSC back to INU after the update . All is well and quick! .

May be TUR csc has restricted options/features. In my example after I changed to INU csc (India one) all the India related options got automatically activated like call recording, spam filter, samsung pay using cards etc etc. which weren't available with the EUX csc before the change.

Any potential issues using INU csc in the UK? I use Samsung pay already but native call recoding would be really useful for me

Might be worth clearing cache and data from Google play services see if that helps. Having the same device with 2 different cscs might have confused Google
Edit
Any reason your Google play store is out of date or is it connected to your original issue
