I'm using an Odroid N2 (ODROID-VU5/7 1080 60hz) as my car tablet and 2 apps are not appearing inside of the Google Playstore.
Both apps are supported for 480x800 devices, which should entail the Odroid N2 as well. I've checked the app and all the resolution settings seem to be alright.
Does anybody know what else might be causing this issue for these 2 specific apps? The apps are MyRoute-app Mobile and MyRoute-app Navigation. Both apps are route creation applications that run on a HERE SDK.
Any help would greatly be appreciated!

So I use Splashtop to stream my PC's desktop to my tablet and phone. It works great. Is there an app or a way to stream my Android OS screens and running apps to my PC? Just thought it would be cool to play some games on a larger screen than 10.1 inches (my tablet).
I looked on Gplay but couldn't find anything but I may not be using the right words to search.
Thanks
i have been browsing around trying to find out how to get any app to show up on the stock nvidia sheild tv.
i have came across this windows tool called {APKtoTV}. which you can convert any apk to make the apps show up on the homescreen as a tile.
i thought i would share my finding so everyone else can enjoy this tool.
so here is the link to this page where i found it at.

This is a sweet little tool. I used it to get WatchESPN on my Shield TV with a better looking banner until ESPN finally releases an Android TV version. If they ever do...
Nice share reading it I see what it doesn't do
What it Does NOT Do
- Fix portrait apps to be landscape
- Add Shield Controller support or alter how Shield Controllers work with the app
- Fix, alter or otherwise remove the "touch only" requirements for apps
- Make an app work that doesn't work through regular sideloading
- Fix any bugs or glitches with the app running under Android TV (in fact, may introduce new ones)
What I use to force apps to be in landscape mode is this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2331514
Cheers
Nice Find :good:

This app works for me- for the most part. I've converted some apps that were already installed on my shield but were not showing up in the main launcher. They converted fine however I lost mouse support for them so it wasn't really a benefit as I couldn't use the app properly. I'll keep fooling around with other apps but for now just forcing apps to go in landscape mode and launching from the sideload launcher is fine.
I'm on Windows 10, it complains about not finding java on startup (even though it's installed) and comes up with errors when saving..
I find a website have many apps for TV
www.apk4.tv
The app doesn't seem to be updated anymore... but seems some one has made an on-line tool doing pretty much the same: http://atvlauncher.trekgonewild.de/
Hello,
I have a really odd issue with my app that I was not aware of until my most recent rejection from Amazon.
For some reason my app is completely missing when you go to settings > managed installed applications on Fire TV OS.
Whats interesting is this is not an issue on Android TV or Android devices. I also noticed other sample Android TV apps create an entry fine as well. It is specific to my app but I cannot find what it is missing. Amazon has not been helpful so far and I am kind of in a pinch since I just converted my back end and cant get the app updated for the users.
Any help would be appreciated!
Is this related to Amazon's Not In My House? I think this also automatically uninstalls some Google Apps (like Play Movies), which worked fine before.

Hi! Just bought this phone because it's just too cheap and has decent specs. Actually, bought 2 of them, they were about 70$ each, with some 15$ extra headphones bonus
Phone came with Fire OS 4.6.3. Managed to install Google services and store, Google now launcher and make default with Home Switcher(listed as "incompatible" in Play store, had to sideload it...many other apps are "incompatible"). That was problem number one...
After that, installed Youtube app, which works, but 360p only and no cardboard option(360 vr videos). Installed iYTBP(modded youtube app) and videos work at higher resolution(720p default) but still no VR. Also default app player doesn't work well.
Installed Facebook and seemed ok, but videos open in browser and don't autoplay in app. I understand whatsupp has problems playing videos...
All these seem to happen because phone is not really known to the apps and they run in "simple" mode.
Is there any way to make apps think it is another phone that they "know" has enough hardware to run them fully? Because it really has...the soc is still strong enough and gyro is there. I will try my best to keep it as stock as possible for warranty reasons(2 years...)
Stumbled across some post where someone said you have to modify build.prop, I think, but can't find it anywhere. Of course, I would need to root it first...
Any more tips welcome, this is best buy for 70$ + bonus and it's really selling well around Romania right now, it seems.
As a side note, battery life seems ok, I got around 5h SOT without sim first day of use, gestures and sensors enabled and Google launcher.
For those other newbs, this site is useful to a point: http://spinyourfire.com/. Home switcher app is attached here, as it does not show up in Google play for this phone.
Google now works fine for me, including wallpapers and widgets and seems to have full functionality.
Thanks!
I have sideloaded bunch of android (cellphone apps) apps to my Shield. Sometimes app called "set orientation" is needed. There is one app, that is official IPTV app from my internet provider. I have account for it, but that app is full optimized for cellphones and tablets... it wont boot in shield at all. Shows only white screen and crashes after 5 seconds. Is there some kind a 3rd party addons/apps that could help me with this. That app would be game changer, if i could use it with shield. App is called "Uusi DNA T" (version 1.1.7 is the newest)
Could someone please try tricks to it. Is there possibility to hack that app some way to make it compatible with Shield?

Without knowing the app or running any logcats to see why why it crashes my best guess would be the app is not designed to run on large screens and has a dpi limit and will crash if you run it on a device that exceeds this limit
You have three options really
See if there's a version with no dpi limit (designed for android tv or firetv for example)
Change the dpi to something lower on the shield (may require root or use of adb & lowering it will effect device resolution)
But the easiest way is to chromecast the app to the shield
If the app itself doesn't support chromecast so you can't cast directly from the app to the tv just cast your entire phone to the tv
Download Google home app and then cast your device to the shield - results may vary based on your phone performance

Thanks for reply. I did contact dev and he sayed that app is compatitle with AndroidTV but there is such strict permissions to distribute IPTV, DVB and OTT material in one app, so it is about that. Google´s platform is rejecting that app to launch i understand. App is working great on iOS and Android. Dev promised to take those permissions to "do list" so meaby that app is going to be AndroidTV compatible in future.

Looking at it in more detail it looks like it's crashing because it may be using an outdated firebase sdk (or it needs some patch applied) resulting in it not being able to handle the Google play services version on the shield
