Hello, I am using Redmi note 8T, and, as the title says, I have a problem with NFC. I unlocked my phone and installed Official Pixel experience plus, as a first custom rom for this device, and NFC option wasn't there. I did flash vbmeta to get my phone out from "The system has been destroyed", otherwise everything went smooth. At first I thought that this is a rom problem, but after testing ColtOS, AOSP extended, EvolutionX, and few other ROMs, NFC still wasn't showing in the settings. At some point I installed unofficial LinageOS 16, on which my NFC showed in settings, and worked. Also I found CesiumOS, on which NFC worked as well. For me it seems, that unified ROMs identify my phone as Note 8, not 8T, but I don't know how to fix that. I tried different versions of TWRP, different firmwares, I tried flashing persist in TWRP, the problem is still unfixed. I also tried deleting scripts that are responsible for disabling NFC in menu, from ROMs, but it didn't help. I also tried installing official ROM through fastboot, on miui NFC works, but when I changed my rom to Pixel experience or any other, same problem.
I wanted to look for similar problem on other devices, but I don't know any which were released as 8 and 8T (practically same model, one with NFC), so if you know such phones, it would be helpful, if you will tell me.
Maybe it means something, but I've installed TWRP 3.3.1.0-10, and when I try to flash firmware for willow I get error 7. I've fixed it in past by using an older recovery.

Hi All,
I am having a strange problem with my OnePlus 5t.
I have used msm flashing tool to flash oxygen os (4.7.4) and after that if I perform an OTA update to 5.1.4 (treble) which creates a vendor partition, phone stands mis behaving (blink, freeze, screen flash like old CRT TV when it has no signal and millions of dots of different colour)
Everything works fine if I use the below link to download one by one all the full updates and perform an update via local storage. https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...s-5t-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3708099/amp/
don't know what is the real problem but I am flashing/reflashing all the things which I find in XDA including customer rom, different msm flash etc but problem comes back.
It has been almost 6 months since I am reflashing the stock oos using msm when ever the problem comes back.
I need some advanced help.
I think there is some problem when oos update creates vendor partition.
Hi.
I have been using CrDroid custom ROM for a few months. Yesterday I decied to switch to xiaomi.eu MIUI 12. Installation went smooth and everything seemed fine until I tried to turn NFC on through the quick menu. I clicked the button and it turned blue, but NFC icon didn't appear in the status bar. I then tried to turn it off, but clicking the button did nothing, it stayed blue. I couldn't change any NFC related settings in settings, they were all grayed out. I then decided to flash xiaomi.eu MIUI11, which worked ok for me when I tested it a few months ago, now NFC doesn't work there too. Same issue. I tried to flash stock MIUI11 through MiFlashTool, but NFC doesn't work there too! I went back to crDroid and NFC works there, so the issue isn't hardware related. I also tried Paranoid Android, but the NFC is now broken there too (it used to work)! Does anyone have an idea on how to fix NFC? I don't know what crDriod did, but it seems it screwed something up big time. I really need NFC in my phone. Any help would be appeiciated! Thanks.

it's very strange thing, normally clean flashing through fastboot mode fixed every issues,
are you sure you flashed firmware for 8t not for 8

Yes i'm sure I flashed willow version. I was suprised when flashing through fastboot didn't fix it too!
Ok I fixed it! You can find the full thread on xiaomi.eu forum if you search for "NFC doesn't work on MIUI, Redmi note 8t" but basically:
-Wipe everything except USB, SDCard
-Format Data
-Reboot Recovery
-Flash PA4 - can't switch NFC in the OS
-Reboot into TWRP, flash the NFC fix zip and MIUI11 (NOT MIUI12) firmware (I'm not sure which one actually fixed NFC)
-Reboot into PA4 - now NFC works
-Dirty Flash MIUI.eu 12 over PA4
-Format Data
-NFC can be now switched, when I touch the back of the phone with my card it does the "Can't recognize NFC" sound so it definitely works!
-Now you could probably do a clean flash and still have the NFC working, but everything seems fine after the dirty flash so I see no reason not to do it unless you start getting battery drain issues or something.

i think flashing the latest vendor will fix it, but since you did then good
I followed your guide, but unformately, not working nfc.
I have my own vendor backup from miui11 and not working also
I tried miui11 then miui12 firmware.
Edit:
Big thank You
My nfc started working in miui. It is something with firmware but I also flashed nfc fix.
I am asking this question for a friend.
He has a Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G China, and he had the China ROM on the phone (V12.0.11.0.QJSCNXM).
A few days ago, he installed the Mi 10T Lite Global ROM (V12.0.2.0.RJSMIXM) on the phone with Mi Flash.
After booting to the global ROM, WiFi stopped working, the WiFi switch is on, but no WiFi can be found by the phone.
Camera also does not work.
So I think this means the persist partition is corrupted.
We have tried to flash persist.img to the phone in TWRP with Terminal commands, but that did not work.
We have also tried to flash persist.img to persist partition directly using orange fox recovery, but after doing that WiFi still does not work.
We have also tried to re-flash the global ROM using Mi Flash, and to flash directly using flash_all.bat, the result was still the same.
If anyone knows how to fix corrupted persist partition on this phone, please let me know.
Thanks.
Edit: It was solved by installing the China ROM back on the phone.
I have 9 Pro 5G here and I tried to install a Global ROM, but I also had the same problems. What happens is that it seems to me that despite sharing the same platform, the Mi10T Lite and the 9 Pro 5G have some peculiarities, such as the camera which is different. So, I went back to the Chinese ROM and installed xiaomi.eu. At first, I'm looking for the XQCN file of a Mi10T Lite to test here on the 9 Pro 5G.

In my case, it only resolved by switching to the Chinese ROM. But then I took advantage and went to xiaomi.eu, I am a big fan of their ROMs.
@Hemerson Silva Thank you!
Now WiFi and camera are finally working after installing the China weekly ROM.

Hi,
Does everything work after installing Xiaomi.EU ROM, camera and WIFI all okay?
I also have Chinese Rom on my RN9 pro 5G, after update to 12.5 Chinese finally kill Google services. there is no way to install it anymore, is anyone try to flash EU rom for this device?
or the best way is to flash Xiaomi.eu custom rom?
is like redmi note 9 pro 5g and the MI10T lite are using different wifi chip. anyone using global rom in the redmi note 9 pro 5g model M2007J17C and solve the wifi issue? please can share the rom using. or a way to make it work.
I found this through Google and had a similar problem with my Redmi Note 5 and custom ROMs. The problem with no device drivers is when the "Vendor" partition was not flashed or restored. It is very important to back up that partition as well. Alternatively, the Vendor image can be found in the fastboot ROMs from Xiaomi, extracted and then flashed separately in the recovery (very fiddly, but it's an alternative).

What's the process for extracting the vendor image and flashing it? Before MIFlash I mean, because I'm facing a similar issue with my Redmi Note 10.
Hello everybody.
I have an issue with the Poco F3 regarding signal and networking.
After the last update to MIUI 12.5 and later MIUI 13, my phone was having issues making and receiving calls and also using mobile data.
Before those updates, I had no issues whatsoever.
I unlocked my bootloader and decided to try a custom rom, thinking it will solve this issue but nothing has changed.
I have "no service" in areas were many other phones (xiaomi and cheap ones at that etc) have at least 4g. Other times, while I do have service, I can't make or receive calls and even if I can, it's dropping after the first minute or so. Trying to use mobile data is a mess too, working rarely and most of the times I get that exclamation mark and cannot access the internet. It's starting to cause issues at work.
Note, that I use the phone with dual sims from different carriers and the issue is the same. I tried using only a single SIM thinking it might have something to do with dual sims but nothing.
I tried everything, from factory reset, to reseting network settings, airplane mode for 30seconds, custom roms, custom apns etc etc.
The sims work as they should on a poco m3 that I also own, but on the F3 the issue remains.
Now, the issue is much work with android 12, both with MIUI and custom rom (using PixelOS at the moment).
Do you think it is a hardware issue? Should I try an android 11 custom rom and see if the issue is fixed? Is there anything else I should try?
It's driving me crazy and since it's causing work related issues I am thinking of just getting a new phone at this point.
Thanks in advance.

Rollback miui first to any android 11 version, see if the issue remains.
Then if you want you can flash custom roms and such... Your firmware got updated to android 12 when you upgraded miui , installing custom ROM won't downgrade it that's why you want to rollback miui
Thank you for your reply.
I need some time to do this proccess since I am practically 24/7 on call, but I will surely give it a shot when I get the chance.
Just a question though. Is it something common with this phone? A quick google search shows it happens with android 12 on the oneplus phones, but I got nothing for the poco f3.
Some time ago, with a similar issue, all I had to do was flash a kernel and it got fixed. Do you think there is a chance it is kernel related?

No idea... I don't think kernel houses firmware components tho , they live in their own separate partition
You can use DSU Sideloader. This allows you to boot into Android 11 and check Cell-connectivity & Wi-Fi, without touching your Main OS.
Basically, you download the Android 11 GSI, extract the "system.img", set up the app (either through Root or ADB), select "system.img" and Install.
That app utilizes Android's DSU feature, but lets you install any GSI you feed it.
Android has a built-in 'DSU Loader' in Developer Options, but it only lets you install the Android 12 and Android 13 Beta GSI, not older ones like Android 11. ^^
Note: GSI's don't work on Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM. May also not work on other Custom ROMs. ^^

That's a cool feature and thank you so much for the reply.
However, when trying it, I get stuck on the Poco logo and then straight to recovery. So I guess it doesn't work on the rom I am using.
Rebooting back to system from TWRP works as it should, so there are no further issues.
Tried the two official images from google, and the result is exactly the same.

Hm, I don't know.
You just need an unlocked bootloader (in most cases apparently).
When it didn't work for me, it was solely because of the Custom ROM Xiaomi.eu. Doesn't work at all there.
You're on Stock MIUI, I think, and it should work there normally. For me it does.

That's all true I guess.
But as I stated, I am on the PixelOS custom rom at the moment.
Just to see if the issue was MIUI specific, turning out it isn't.
I will return to MIUI 12.5 when I get the chance regardless.

No, not at all unfortunately. Tried everything, even downgrading and switching around custom roms.
I figure it's a hardware issue and have since swapped my sim to my older Mi 9 Lite and use that device only for calls and data hotspot.
If, however, you have some solution to propose I will gladly give it a shot!
Hi, I also got myself the Poco F3 in June 2022.
Some days ago (~end of September) it started having little to no signal in places that I usually had good signal coverage.
I use 2 SIMs. I tried any combination of SIM as well as single SIMs.
Signal is bad and even if the indicator shows signal with severals bars, calls are not going out nor can I receive calls.
MIUI is
I thought of resetting the phone but after reading this thread I prefer to return the phone as long as it is still stock rather than wasting my time.
There are several posts about this issue on Amazon as well.
Same thing happening to me. This is a good smartphone but sadly, it wasn't just me that is having the same issue.
Same here. Simcard works fine in my Mi 8 and iPhone 7. Went back from LineageOS to MIUI, but MIUI tells me the Simcard "can't be activated" and doesnt get signal at all. With my Mi 8 i have 4G coverage.
I do have the exact same problem.
Tried different roms A11+A12, MIUI+Custom, even opened it up to check if the antenna cable was loose.
Has anybody fixed that problem?
did you manage to fix it? I had the same problem in pixelOs and now I want to install pixel experience but it worries me

Problem is still there...
Hello XDA people. I'm an enthusiast of flashing and testing android ROMs, but I am kinda rookie using this device.
The problem in question is that I cannot successfully flash any Android 10 and later ROMs on my device, I always face several problems after flashing and booting any ROM, such as the wifi's not working (got the exclamation mark on the icon), audio problems, mobile data increiblely slow, bluetooth and GPS issues, etc etc. I tried to flash official and supported ROMs like lineageos, evolutionx, pyxisos, havoc as well as unofficial roms, but I always get the same problems (the wifi issue is the problem that I want to fix the most)
I tried flashing the original MIUI firmware through recovery and bootloader method, I dirty/clean flashed the roms after and nothing, I also used factory reset, used OrangeFox, TWRP (official and unofficial versions) and I still have the same result. I tried every method I know and it seems I won't have the problem fixed. I don't know if it's that the firmware is not properly flashed, or if I deleted a partition. What can I do?
The device only works using the MIUI original firmare but I don't like it because of the bloatware and the waste of resources. I currently use MMX rom (a modified MIUI rom) in my device right now. It works well but It's currently outdated. I just want to use an AOSP based ROM and having my device updated. Please HELP ME!
