I am contemplating upgrading my Samsung S6 to a S9. I am currently building LineageOS 15.1 for my S6 and the sources I am using and I am building with my own certificates allow it to pass SafetyNet and the apps I need to use all work fine - Google Pay, Santander Mobile banking app, NetFlix & Sky Go. I can probably live without the last two but Google Pay and the Santander app are a must. I don't root my device and don't rely on Magisk or anything else to trick the apps into working and I don't want to add root/Magisk to get them to work.
Looking at the official LineageOS 17.1 thread I don't believe these apps would work. I am happy to build LineageOS myself but it is essential that the sources will allow SafetyNet to pass and Google Pay and the Santander banking app work.
Is this possible with the S9?

I'm using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with LineageOS 14.1-20180407 and without GApps or Google Services. I tried to use the OKCupid app, but I only get the notification that Android System WebView is missing Does anybody know how to use the app with the preinstalled AOSP WebView?

I don't do this for my devices but, I believe that the following information should be correct...
... download and install the Android System Webview from the following APKMirror website and then set it as the Default Webview app from within your devices Developer Options...
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/android-system-webview/
... You may want to double check this on the following Official LineageOS thread for your just to be sure (I believe that you have the following LineageOS for the Mido device).

Good Luck!

Thanks, but as I've stated I don't use Google services and I don't intend to do so. That's why I was asking, why the app isn't recognizing AOSP WebView, because that's already installed on my device, that's what should work and what I'd like to use.
Dear team,i am currently using 15.1 lineage os on my oneplus 2 but am not getting calls on my jio and unable to make one albeit data is working perfectly...pls help
Hey,
did you solve the problem?
I have the same with LineageOS for microG (LineageOS Version 18)
Has anyone been successful in running Google Pay / Tez n LineageOS ?
I tried using magisk hide. All banking apps work. But GPay flags the device as rooted.
Any working method? Workaround?
I don't use Google Pay, Netflix etc so I don't actually care about SafetyNet myself. I ask this question out of curiosity.
IIRC in Android 9 era (I was using LineageOS 16 at that time) SafetyNet could still pass on my Z2, until I upgraded to LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10).
After upgrading to LOS 17.1, my Z2 can no longer pass it, both basicIntegrity and ctsProfile are reported to be "false".
is magisk installed correctly?
Hello,
I've installed iodeOS on my Samsung S9 SM-G960F/DS with Android 11 which is basicly a pre-configured LineageOS.
Additionally i've installed TWRP and Magisk 23.0 and rooted my phone.
Bootloader is unlocked ofc.
In the SafetyNet, i cant even bypass the simple Basic Integrity check, let alone the CTS Profile.
So my Question is, are there routines to try? does someone have a idea how i could get this working?
Or is it simply just not possible on the S9 to bypass SafetyNet?
I've tried "universal-safetynet-bypass-fix.zip" but i cant seem to flash it from TWRP or Magisk.
Thanks in advance!
Turns out it was a Dev User Build that doesnt work with SafetyNet.
Instead, i've installed LineageOS 17.1 with Android 10 and im ok wiht it.
I've passed Basic Integrity that way and with the following instruction the CTS Profile:
Download this Magisk Module (For Android 7.0/7.1 to Android 12 Beta 4 and future versions) – SAFETYNET-FIX-v2.1.0
Open Magisk and go to the Modules tab
Install the Magisk Module that you downloaded
Reboot your phone, and that’s it.
I picked up a OnePlus 9 Pro to replace my OnePlus 6T. The 6T was running /e/, but since there is no /e/ build available for the 9 Pro I went with LOS w/ MicroG.
I remember when running /e/ that it was necessary to blacklist Aurora Store from attempting to update Play Services, MagicEarth, or the PDF viewer (upgrades of these apps are handled by the OS, I guess). I'm not sure if this is necessary for Lineage w/ MG, and was wondering if someone could let me know, since apparently there is an available upgrade for Play Services.
Thank you!
