I just backed to OOS using msm tool. Didn't show any error while flashing, rebbot recovery, it turn to first page and still there.
I have faced the same thing as well. Flashed in recovery and then reboot to recovery and got stuck. It doesn't reboot to recovery.
Kind of interesting that a handful of people are experiencing this issue and a handful of other people aren't.
I'll have to take a look here soon. Will keep all of you posted
maybe the previous recovery's version cause the difference?
Appreciate the SHRP Recovery for Oneplus 6/T! Confirmed working on my Oneplus 6T!

Can confirm i have same issue now...
it stuck at Bootloader unlock warning..
Update:
After experimenting with different ROM's & Recoveries found one specific issue..
When i install this Recovery from Blue Spark TWRP 3.4.0-1 or Official/Unofficial TWRP 3.4.0-1, it Reboots fine in Sharp recovery but if we reboot into recovery again, it stuck at Bootloader unlock warning...
if i install this Recovery from Official/Unofficial TWRP 3.3.1-18, it works fine...

Warning for everyone..
Don't flash it from any other Recovery based on TWRP 3.4.0.
Either stay on TWRP 3.3.1-18 or flash this Recovery from TWRP 3.3.1-18. Doesn't matter if TWRP is official/unofficial build...

To Flash the TWRP:
if it's the first time you flash the TWRP or you are getting problems of TWRP lost or device doesn't boot after flashed magisk or something else you need to flash a script to patch your vbmeta:
VBMETA PATCHER
To flash the TWRP:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.1-xx-xxxxxx-mauronofrio.img
Then reboot in TWRP manually.
Flash the VBMETA PATCHER and reboot.
REMEMBER: is important that from fastboot you directly go in TWRP mode or the TWRP will be overwritten.

TWRP might never be as before and thats something we all have to accept. Google did some major changes and it will take some time to fix that.
I'm using my 7T now for more than a half year without fully working and stable TWRP. I still don't miss it. For root there are a few instructions and custom ROMs can be flashed with fastboot. Kernel can be flashed easily with Kernel manager. Let's wait and see...
For kernel flashing you need root.

Sure you will need to have root. but that's common and possible without TWRP.
Thanks so much to mauronofrio for that TWRP port!
Installed in few minutes.
Magisk installed with no problem.
Thanks dev!
Just installed magisk, too. Everything working like a charm!
Thanks mauronofrio!
I tried to root bybusing this twrp , i did the things mentioned below,
1.Unlocked bootloader,
2.Downloaded Magisk zip
3.Booted into Fastboot mode
4.Booted Twrp, fastboot boot Twrp name
5.Install magisk zip in twrp
6.Rebooted the device, but ended with bootloop

6-9-21 TMO Stock Rom XT2005-3
Whenever I try to use the wipe function, my device won't boot.
I was able to replicate this by:
- Using the rescue and smart assistant to recover it
- After it boots, get into bootloader from power off and flash this recovery
- Boot into recovery from fastboot menu
- Wipe data option
- Reboot
- It boots to the motorola logo, but never into the "hello moto" part of the boot animation
Xfinity variant device
The recovery from @scottyrick2 works fine, wondering what's going on?

So this was designed for your Lineage rom (not mentioned in the post) or others that use that file system. I was not aware of that, thank you for the clarification.
Perhaps append the original post so people don't make the same mistake as me?

No.
Is this based on any of the two existing TWRP modifications for Poco F3 or is it a new approach? Reasons for asking is that they both come with their own type of bugs.

I have tried to take the good parts of all the existing TWRPs and add my own modifications to make the recovery more stable. There will be regular updates almost every week, so make sure to check the download link almost every other day. For changelogs of the latest build, You can check the pinned message of the support group
Woahh... Nice... my fave recovery since Redmi note 5 Whyred.
Hope next build also has feature to automatic reflash ofox after flashing a rom.

The auto reflash ofox feature won't be implemented until the ofox source developers add it. Till that time, you can just select ofox zip in the "add to queue" option so that it will reflash after the ROM flashes
Works great so far, xiaomi.eu stable 12.5.19 (android 11)
In fact, it works better than twrp, to do a backup with twrp I had to run the rm data/extm - Rf before I could backup, but with orange fox, it works normally, no commands needed
Thankyou for your work on this sir
It really works. Xiaomi.eu stable 12.5.19. Backup also works, only restoration does not work ERROR: 255

I have noted down the issue. It seems I had not added fastbootd functionality. I am working on a fix and will release a new build soon
Ok,thank you for fixing this

Any chance of A12 decryption like the twrp skkk where if you don't have a lock screen, it can decrypt?

I don't know what black magic that guy has done to achieve that, since his trees are private (they are not on github) and I've tried contacting him 2-3 times. All I got was no response. And I myself have tried to figure it out on my own more than 5-10 times, still no luck. So I don't think I'll be able to implement a12 decryption until TWRP officially supports it.

You're doing a good job either way. Keep it up.
The only reason I switched back to twrp from orangefox was it woudnt virabte on touch so I couldn't figure out if the recovery is fully functional and I can start using it or its still booting.

calm down, I will not install the wrong kernel
running the multidisabler is essential to install the custom kernel, the device does not start but runs multidisabler, all right now, what customizations does the kernel have? @afaneh92

Just got my S901E on FW U1AVCJ. Is it safe to update to U2AVF1 before installing TWRP? Just making sure I will be able to unlock BL and install TWRP. Thanks in advance!

Its ok
hi there!
i would love to follow this tutorial, however, i have some noob doubts before doing it that i would like to address:
1) what does it mean r0q? "Downloads for S22: r0q twrp and kernel"
2) how should i decide which files download in twrp? what does it mean afaneh92-r0q? its for S22 non-ultra
3) why can i download the custom kernel in point 7 if there is no custom kernel for s22 non-ultra?
4) the custom kernel of point 7 must be flashed through twrp?
r0q is regular s22
The s22, s22+ and ultra all use the exact same kernel
