OK so I have a problem that I am not sure that can be fixed.
I gave my daughter a Samsung Tab 3 Lite. Keep in mind my daughter was like 4 years old when she got it. All she would use it was to watch her cartoons and to take pictures and videos. She for some reason changed her password with help of her older sister and then stopped using it for a couple months. She does not remember the password that she put on it so we cant unlock it and typing the incorrect pin gives us the try in 30 seconds message but it does not give me the option of logging in using my google account.
I have searched the internet to try to unlock it and the easiest and most popular option is a hard reset and that is where the problem is. She has tons of pictures and videos of our dog that we had for 12 years who recently had to be put down due to cancer. If I do a hard reset all those pictures and videos will be gone.
The question I have now for this community is if there is any way to either bypass the lock screen or transfer the pictures and videos to an Micro SD card or my computer?
The tablet has a stock ROM.
Thanks in advance for helping/trying to help.
Maybe flash TWRP or CWM with Odin and use file manager to copy media folder to SD card?

I'd love to help you. But without any punctuation, its hard to decipher what you are trying to say. What ROM are you using?
Riding the Uni on the GSIII
the phone is completely stock. I got it from my sister who is currently using a galaxy 3s. She said she had to much datta that why she went to get the 3s . Since i have had the phone some times it lags to comeback to home screen also the phone is not saving the pictures to the sd card or the phone. If i take out the sd card the phone will not take picture unless have the card installed . I really want to fix the picture issue and wonder why its lagging

Lol great reply! @op try to wipe all user data from the phone. This will not erase anything on your card. On your SD card you will look for a file using astro, es file explorer, or whatever file explorer you wish, called dcim. That is where your pictures should be stored. If you find them in a different directory, move them to dcim and they will show in gallery. But do a factory data reset, that should help with your lagging and also help you get signed into instagram.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda app-developers app
The first app I had problems with was Battle camp. After I downloaded the Christmas update the app wouldn't install. It kept throwing invalid manifest errors. So I Uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Now it installs and I can open it. But, if the app gets killed from the app switcher or a couple hours of doing other things when I try to open the app it crashes and pops up with a suddenly stopped report that I can submit.
At that point I have to reboot to try and open the app with out the suddenly stopped error. After the reboot the app icon changes to a generic android guy. When I try to open it, it says the app isn't installed.
Last night the OTA AT&T update hit my phone. This morning 2 more games showed the generic android guy for an icon and said app not installed. Dungeon Hunter 4 and Galaxy on fire 2.
I didn't bother trying to reinstall them and as far as I know they didn't have any updates.
Now I went to play Star Wars Commander and it said there was an update. I updated and it installed fine. But, now I have the same problem with that app as Battle camp. Works once then auto crashes. On reboot it says not installed.
I am sooooooo wishing I had traded my Note 2 for an iPhone 6+...
Any suggestions?

Reset the device in the settings.
You mean do a factory reset?

SNAFU!!
I used My files to copy all my photos, easy note notes, zedge files, etc to my SD card.
I then removed the SD card after I checked all the folders to make sure there was data in the copied folders. I understand mounted the SD card and removed it from the phone. I powered down the phone and used volume up, home, & power button to get to the reset menu. I reset all data and cleared the cashe.
After the reboot I powered down and reinstalled the SD card. All the data I copied is gone. All the existing data I put on it with my computer (music, video from my note 2, etc) is still there. All copied folders from before the reset are empty. Photos shows all my pictures I copied as broken links that when you click on them it says no data found.
I reinstalled Battle camp and Star Wars commander. Both showed broken links 10 minutes after install I hadn't even got to opening them because.i was trying to find my missing SD card data. Both shortcuts say app not installed when clicked on.
I guess I will be stopping at AT&T after work to see about exchanging my POS phone.
i had problems on my S4 with keeping apps from disappearing on my homescreen. Turned out to be the install location of some apps. For some reason, some apps install directly to my external SD Card, which causes it to disappear upon reboot. I dont have problems with it crashing or uninstalling but maybe its related. Try removing your sd card and then installing it and seeing if it crashes with the sdcard physically removed.
AT&T is sending me a replacement
SD card installed or not. It is still losing apps. And, the writing to the SD card issue was enough for AT&T tech support to send me a warranty replacement. Their oustanding in store customer service not withstanding (sarcasm), I am pretty happy. The replacement is a refurb, but I will get it tomorrow. The kicker is the AT&T live chat guy says the manager of the store I was in should have replaced my phone on the spot instead of sending me home to talk to tech support myself. Maybe the manager should have been helping her girl, that was helping me, instead of hiding in the back room with the other 2 employees that were working. At least they are crediting me the 2 day shipping charge.
those 'refurbs' usually always look brand new. Good luck with it.
The Refurbished does look brand new
I got it activated and sure enough I am still having the same issues. Now the chances of 2 bad phones is pretty remote. So I grabbed my 32gb card out of my action cam. A sandisk SD card.
Formatted it and everything seems fine now. Apps aren't uninstalling themselves and my files actually transfers files to the card that stay after a reboot.
I guess my 2 64gb SD cards (1 samsung and one sandisk) are just funky. They work fine on my computer and in other devices but my 2 note 4s didn't like them

After hours upon hours of searching forums trying to figure out how to recover files from my note 2 with a useless broken screen and pass protected I was about to settle on the mouse/HDMI MHL OTG route when I remembered I already had cerberus installed on my phone. All I had to do was log in and send my phone the unlock signal from the PC app and BAM! my phone appeared on my desktop and I was able to download all my files. Hope this helps a lot of frustrated people out there.
Hi Geniuses in XDA!
A strange one for you if you are able to help I would appreciate it. (sooo much)
I was an Apple stalwart for years but got so fed up of them being so inflexible and pushing stupid iOS updates on users every other month I thought an Android Phone would be the way to go.
So many peeps said great things about the S7 so I researched it and after a short while saw that S7 Active would be a better choice than the S7 or S7 edge.
I bought a G891A phone from ebay as a refurb in September 2018, it was in great condition. Worked like a dream MUCH better than Apple stuff. Much faster, brilliant battery life and better everything!
Last week (Thursday evening 28th Feb to be exact) I was charging the phone as usual before sleeping and while holding the phone in my hand and the screen locked - it looked like it rebooted, I wondered why did this happen but no biggie so I left it without the charger connected until the morning.
When I picked up the phone to use it in the morn, the startup PIN would not work which has never happened before.
I carefully entered the PIN - no joy, and again and again, then I tried every different denomination of the same number no joy, then the stock 0000 and 000000 and 1234 and 123456 . nothing still locked.
Buy this time a message came up with the 'you have x tries left until a factory reset' - tried several google searches and found similar issues but not the exact same scenario.
Tried loading progs via the SD card that would disable the PIN or allow the password file in the OS to be deleted but none of these would work as I have the stock samsung recovery and not TWRP or similar so the 'not authorised error' would come up in recovery when trying to load anything I downloaded..
Eventually I just tried the same PIN again until the phone wiped and reset it self - no real issue I thought as I have a current full BU via google drive so I let the phone restore the backup to the phone partially, then I thought what if the backup doesn't contain all the stuff I want? So stopped and disabled google play and put the phone on airplane mode to prevent any further data being written to the phone and potentially over writing anything file that had been given a deletion marker by the filesystem..
I did this as my main method of storing records/notes about many things is via memos. and realised that the goggle drive stock backup does not include Memos or SMS Texts. ( I checked through the entire listing of what was backed up on the google backups)
No I didn't enable the Samsung backup just the google drive one :crying: BUT I WISH I DID NOW!
Anyway you lovely lot - is there any way I can ROOT this phone with minimal file overwriting damage so I can get in the FS and get to the deleted memos and sms texts in the internal memory of the phone and copy them elsewhere using ADB or software or similar?
I refuse to be defeated on this as its not an APPLE!
PLEEZ HALP!!!
Phone is running 7.0
Build is NRD90M.G891AUCS2BQH1
I hope I have been clear in explaining - Need any other info please ask!
Hello, I have a problem. It's about the Samsung S10 Plus smartphone. The device belonged to my grandmother, who unfortunately passed away. My grandfather doesn't know the password and he would like the pictures on it as a reminder. There are also some pictures of the last festival on it. I've tried a lot, but I just can't get access. can you help me somehow? Thank you!
Doe's it have microsd card installed? If there is just take it out and plug it on your pc to see the photos. If no sd card, then you need this tool...https://youtu.be/RhnurapDgLI
No, there is No SD Card in it. I will watch tue Video.
I downloaded the tool, but you can`t unlock S10 Plus without data loss - that`s no option.
