Remove Battery Percentage in notification centre? - Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra Questions &

Just made the switch from iOS (iPhone 11) to a S20 Ultra, I hate battery percentages. I have removed it from the notification bar but when I swipe down to see my notifications it appears again.
Any way to remove this without rooting?
Thanks
G

Ignore people like that.
It's a bug on Android 10 and will be fixed hopefully on 11... We can't even hide it with root or _hex and so on. Really annoying.

Unreal how some of you folks get heated so quickly and can't seem to behave. Let's be clear on one thing, name calling and or personal attacks have no place here. We will shut that down very quickly and that's the end of that. If you find yourself getting worked up just scroll on or log off and go do something else.

LG Touch LED Notifications (Updated to Support Nitro!!)

Hello all,
I am creating this thread since we all at one point had a discussion regarding having some kind of notification alert on our phones the moment we achieve Unlock.
Well guess what, Xigzil aka MARTIN BÖRJESSON has an app on the market called LG 2X/Black/3D Notifications. I've installed this on the phone, and unfortunately, it does fully support the phone yet to work properly. I've reached to Xigzil and he will try to help and update his app so it will work with our phone but he will be needing our help. Since he does not have the phone, he will need things from us, so let's do our best to help Xigzil in achieving this.
For now, this will just be placeholder until he has decided to visit us here. Hopefully it won't be long
App has been UPDATED!! Nitro is now supported, download it here: LG Touch LED Notifications

UPDATE!!
So Xigzil has just updated his app!! It is now called LG Touch LED Notifications since it supports much much more LG phones, including our dear LG Nitro HD (P930)! I have not tried it just yet, just noticed that the update kicked in and that one of the supported phones is the Nitro. So go download it and give it a try and let us know how it is!
You can download it here: LG Touch LED Notifications
To Admin/Chris: Please move this thread to either General or Themes/Apps as it no longer pertains to a development effort. Thank you.
Hmm. Not sure whether I like it or not. I though maybe it'll be a fade in and out kind of effect but it just blinks. And all three buttons blink. Going to keel it for a while and see if its really useful.

I thought the same thing too. I guess it's kind of useful if I just have my phone on the table and I'm staring at something else, until it starts blinking and gains my attention. I do think however fade options would be fantastic, and if only one button would light up.
Maybe something like Gmail - Menu button
SMS - Home button
Other - Back button

Yeah all or nothing for the buttons. Atleast we have some kind of notification now for the Nitro/Optimus LTE !
I like putting my phone face down so the speaker is up. Would it be possible for a notification app to blink the camera's LED flash?

Lol! [email protected], that's exactly the same thing that's on this thread, the same app made by the same guy
Liteon, to answer your question, I use this: Flashlight Notifier
It basically flashes the camera's LED when something triggers it. You can set it however you want, and the pattern on how the LED flashes too. It's very cool, but mind you, they flash really really bright, so in a dark area, expect people to jump out of their skin when this thing goes off lol!
I use both LG touch Notification and the Flashlight Notifier on this phone, so I can see the notification regardless of how you face your phone.

[Q] Disable screenshot notification in notification center

Hi, XDA ,
On a D855, is there anyway to remove that screenshot notification that shows every time you grab a screenshot, which is shown in the notification centre? It's annoying, to have to Clear the notifications every time - OCD much...
// Troels
First its not a "notifications centre" - it is a notifications bar, where notifications are listed - "notifications centre" is an ios thing....
Secondly I am not aware of any way to stop them from showing, the reason they do is a) so you know it has taken one and b) so you can do something with it straight away - most people take a screenshot because they want to immediately share it somewhere.
With these things there is always a way, if you are rooted and take the time to find the relevant bit of code to modify it - but I have never seen one ready made and I do not have the patience, time or need to make one for you.

It would be nice if Google could do something simple like say, have an automatic off setting so it's not wasting power during the night.
Must Samsung lead the way with everything Google does? Seriously?

Yes. It's something Samsung has had for ages now. I mean Google took the time to create a scheduled system for blue light reduction, yet couldn't bother to do the same with Ambient Display. It's either on 24-7 or off.
The best solution I've found is to put a piece of paper or such over the top sensor at night so the phone will think the device is in a pocket and turn off the screen.

The best ideas are the easiest sometimes. I stay away from Samsung. I can't stand trying to figure out where they put stuff at. Why change menu structure even. I've tried several times because of the awesome hardware but never make it past about 2 months.

Cheers for the tip! :good::good: We've done my part now let's wait
I just got my pixel 2 XL and can't believe google has not enabled this already, it's a very basic item and a must have for many.
Pretty pathetic, hopefully once roms start dropping this will fix many shortcomings on the device.
As mentioned in an different thread, using Accubattery will display the battery level on the AOD. In my brief testing, Google reported the app as not consuming any measurable amount of power overnight, so no appreciable battery draw. Also, there is a root app from an XDA RC that displays the music you are currently playing/streaming on to the AOD. This is different from the existing "now playing" feature already built in, and at the end of the article HERE it says that almost any "text" can be displayed on the AOD. It's not the built in Google controls for the AOD we are expecting, but there is hope for customization for those with root, and in the coming ROMs.
Well, got this notice, just don't know what "Changed" (shrug)

I hope they enable the ability to keep the icon on the lockscreen while removing it from the notification panel.. that would be perfect.

I doggedly go through settings to find buried stuff like this. Goodlock apps are superb; even got rid of that nasty AT&T logo.
Just black across the top of my stock Note 10 homescreen like I want it.
