best gcam mod with optimized configuration for MI A3

Hello to Mi a3 users.
Though stock camera app is click nice photos and portraits in well lighting condition but gcam is gem for camera2 api enabled phone and fortunately this time xiaomi has it enabled and given spectacular rear and front lenses in mia3.
Disclaimer: i am not a developer and this is not my work here i am just providing details of apk and best optimization option for camera app.

So far no any dedicated mod is being developed for mia3 to use wide lense.

What about front camera?in mi A2 lite It does not work with HDR+ enabled

The processing does not go to 100% in my Mi A3. Only about 70-80%.

Tested now, with no XMLs activated, pure stock and so far so good ... also quality is good, better, a lot better than stock cam. Don`t ask pics please, the smartphone I`ve tested is not mine, it`s my father who owns it

Since I`m trying to improve the photo quality somehow for the smartphone my father use, I`ve searched a bit about what camera module it uses and I`ve found out that is the same module (Sony IMX582 sensor) used on redmi k20 (not pro) and I will test if any Gcam ports for that modules will bring a better experience in photos, compared with the ones I`ve read here....That if my time will allow me to actually do so. If I see anything to be mentioned here I will post.

I don't know if it was an option or it appeared, but in full HD 60 video recording in FPS you can select image stabilization. However, this is probably another android bug, because stabilization does not work. Is this android 9 underdeveloped? Is simply android one stripped of its function?

Guys Anyone else facing this big dark circle in camera after clicking Pic in Night Mode using Stock Camera inside a Dark Room with very little light ?
Anyone knows the reason ??

This is my modded Gcam for Mi 9T.
Basically it's @Urnyx05 mod but I was able to fix the excessive noise in photos with Zoom 2x sensor.

No, sadly... My advice is to use Gcam only for photos and MIUI camera for videos/slowmo/time lapse at least for now.

Great post! Would you say the Urnyx GCam (or this version of yours) is superior to the xtrme version? Have tried both but can't come to a definitive conclusion, really.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only 6.2 Gcam with all 4 cameras (3+1 front) working well with Mi 9T is the one in OP.

You're correct, this is the only 6.2 GCam working on the Mi 9T. But xtrme's version, although it's based on GCam 6.1, works great too with all 4 cameras. I don't know much about photography so I can't really tell which one is better overall.

Can you reduce NR for main camera as well? Night shots with HDR+ are good, but lack detail. A little grain won't hurt the image IMO.

Try changing library in advanced settings. Fit v2 seems to be optimized for Mi 9 that has a very similar main sensor.

It should crash only if wide or Tele camera are active.
Do you know if there is a version with working video/settings and auxiliary cameras support?
I suspect that video profiles for aux cameras are missing/hidden, at least in Global ROM.

Anyways, I am just wondering if this google camera mod can be loaded straight onto the phone or does the phone need 'jailbreaking' in some way?

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if there will be GCam port for S10 Lite? I don't think there will be any development for this phone but a gcam port will be great.

Same here. Half the things are not working on any port at the moment. I am also waiting for a stable gcam.

Is there 7.3 for s10 lite? Perhaps anyone tried 7.3 from s20, does it work in s10 lite?

It is working except night mode. But neither 7.2 night mode was working to me..
I don't know which is better.

Tried the 7.3, there's no so much difference IMHO in comparison with stock camera. Daytime stock is better ; low light can't see great improvement.
Camera quality isn't so bad, of course if you shoot in low light ambient results are far from the Pixel 4 and latest iPhone.

Okay so i stumbled upon a working build. It's latest stable from Arnova. Everything works out of the box(for pics, haven't tested videos yet) with the latest fw for s10 lite. No tweaking needed.

You have to find an option to turn on the wide angle, it's in advanced settings.
I'm currently using an Urnyx05 version. I also use a "Lib patcher" where I turned up sharpness a bit.

How did you make it work?

Same here.. Also I'm not sure if there is any improvement vs the original camera. Both looks almost the same to me.

I don't know, I've installed Urnyx's 7.2.010 v2.3 version and it works.
It's slightly better. Samsung app makes everything oversharpened and flat for me.

I've found new version which fits me most.
I was looking for a 6.x version that works on our S10 LIte. For me the 7.x mods are ok, but nothing special.
Gcam 6.x was much smoother.
Finally - I've found Fu24's mod.
It's the "Gcam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.6-Fu24_5Lens-02b6.5-A10.apk" file.
It's full of advanced settings, there are some configs available.
Here you have some samples.
I was using stock config + Pixel 2 XL setting for back camera.
Later I've switched to LGV40 config.

Hi, I have the x51 5G which is the same phone but for the european market, and the latest Arnova stable works perfectly, albeit just the main cam.
Latest BSG works fine also, but since there is no libpatcher available in the mod, the picture quality isn't any better than stock, and I would say it is less detailed.
Arnova mod is tweakable to your liking, and is very good once tuned right.
No luck yet at getting the other lenses to work...

Hey mate, could you post Camera2 API results from "Camera2 API Probe" app from the Play Store? It should provide some information about the camera2 API capabilities, and let us know if auxiliary lenses are "blocked" from being accessed by GCam ports. A screenshot would be perfect. So I actually decided to buy this phone (European X51 5G) and only the main & front camera seem to work in GCam ports. Portrait lens, periscope, wide angle - they don't work. They're not even showing up in the camera2 API probe. Main camera and selfie camera are both level_3.
I'm currently on the latest Funtouch version which is PD2005F_EX_A_36.7.11 (Android 11). The GCam ports that I've tried and can confirm work well are:
trCamera (Xmas release) : LINK
Nikita NGcam 7.4.104-v2.0 : LINK
The only issue I've been facing is with trCamera, when enabling focus tracking, the app just crashes. Other than that, these two GCam ports work very well and are highly customizable.

Because the built in app doesn't always use 5x optical zoom. If it gets bit dark it switchs to digital 5x

Hey mate, since a recent update, I'm now able to use AUX lenses in GCam. Weird if VIVO intentionally enabled this, but it's very nice nonetheless.
I'm on Funtouch 11 Global (build PD2005F_EX_A_36.8.3)
You have the X50 Pro so not exactly the same firmware, but it's worth a try to update your phone to the latest version, and see if it works or not.

Question Which Gcam mod?

who has got a staple mod for this phone?
All cameras should work.
Flash is important.
I find bsg v8.7.250 quite reliable but quality is unstable.
Maybe a well written config file can help?
If any one here has a hint on how to get the best out of this phones camera, please let me know
OG honor camera on v6.0.0.180 sucks In pro mode, blurry and noisy. No matter the setting or camera used.

Big kaka works great, and working on all lenses too, change interface to pixel 3 XL, and increase the exposure by 2.5 stops so picture is not dark.

I use LMC R16 https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-hasli/f/dl12/ on my Magic5 Pro. Works decently for the most part but unfortunately for some reason, the optical stabilization doesn't work on the telephoto.

not sure if it's better, I'm just more used to LMC as I've used it on my other phones.
It should work after installing, but if you want to use the Telephoto and Ultra-wide then you can import the config I attached to this post.
Put it in internal storage/LMC8.4 folder.

OIS (on telephoto) doesn't work in any GCam port on this phone. Honor must have blocked it from being used in third party camera apps.

The GoogleCameraEng one. With this phone the package doesn't matter apparently, because the ultra wide and telephoto are detected. It's just that the OIS doesn't work on tele, no matter what.

Ois seems to be working on lmc, with this xlm.

Try this xlm

In addition camera settings change the tele cam from 3 to 4, in list id

If it's dark adjust exposure to +2

All cameras are working

Ois is 100% working on tele, I can tell the difference between the tele and and normal 1x which does not have ois

In LMC tweaks make sure ois is checked
