Miracast working on OG

Sorry if this has already been posted but just wanted to share that I have gotten the Miracast feature on our OG to work (I am running V8, rooted, but not unlocked). The adapter that I am using is the Netgear PTV3000 ($60) running a beta firmware v2.2.6 (a quick google search will give the link to download the beta firmware if you are interested). The connection is pretty solid and it mirrors the display (and audio) from the phone as expected.
Youtube 720p videos play fine in both Eco and non-Eco mode for the most part. Sometimes audio-video can get slightly out sync (0.5 second or so) if in Eco mode, otherwise its fine if in non-Eco mode. 1080i/p videos are a different story, however. In Eco mode, Youtube and locally stored 1080p videos have a significant amount of macroblocking, random lines appearing throughout the video, and audio/video sync issues. If Eco mode is disabled, macroblocking goes away and the random lines are decreased but still present and still to the point where they are an issue and definitely detract form the viewing experience (especially with fast-moving objects in the video). Audio-video sync is better vs Eco mode but still not perfectly synchronized. Otherwise, web browsing and using apps (Angry Birds, etc) on the phone work well mirrored to the tv. There's about a 1 second lag from phone to tv and the phone is situated about 8 feet from the adapter. I am hopeful that future firmware updates will resolve these issues but since these issues do not appear when using the adapter with my laptop (discussed below) and are somewhat mitigated by disabling Eco mode, it may be LG that needs to issue the updates to resolve the audio sync and HD video quality issues and not Netgear.
Please also keep in mind that when using Miracast on the OG, the OG's wifi connection to your router is disabled so that the OG can utilize its wifi adapter to connect to the Miracast adapter (Netgear PTV3000). This may be important because if your intent is to stream internet video from your phone to the tv, then you will have to rely on the Sprint data connection. In this situation, hopefully you have 4G in your local area because in my experience, Sprint 3G streaming is basically useless.
Finally, if you are wondering about all the bad Amazon reviews on the Netgear PTV3000 and are hesitant to purchase, I wouldn't worry about it and just take the plunge. I've had this adapter for about two months now and will admit that performance was below what I had expected with the early firmwares. However, with this new beta firmware, all my issues have been resolved as video from my laptop (Asus UX31a ultrabook) is now extremely smooth (even 1080p) with no frame drops or macroblocking. And it seems they finally got the HDCP issue worked out so now I can mirror copyrighted content (like DVDs) from the laptop to the tv. I plan to purchase a second unit to keep in my travel bag.
Im just gonna use my MHL adapter until they get Miracast sorted out

[Q] Lag when playing games and connected to hdmi

Hi
Lately I've been trying to game a tad via my note 10.1 (2014) wifi edition and a moga hero controller connected to hdmi . I've then noticed a decent amount of lag when it comes to controller input. And things "feel" more sluggish.
Everything returns to normal when I disconnect the hdmi.....
Noticed in
Modern Combat 4 and 5
NFS most wanted
Anyone experienced similar issues?
Faulty hdmi adapter? ( I'm using a multi connection adapter bought via dx.com , it was recommended by several users both here and note 3 forums). Though, the adapter works fine in all other instances ( netflix and such)
Running stock, non rooted
Help!
cheers
Anyone Have any ideas? Suggestions? Similar experiences?

Maybe theres to much running in backround? I use a moga pro connected with bluetooth and it works fine. Do you have a custom rom or kernal? How did you get nova 3 to work? It wont work on my tablet.
And you're connected to a TV via hdmi?
SRY nova 3 was an oversight on my part, I ment GTA 3 ( can't get nova to work)
When it comes to processes etc, it was a fresh boot , no apps running

Limelight game streaming - how is it working for you?

I am trying out Limelight to stream games from my PC. I am hard-wired to a gigabit network on both my PC and the Fire TV. I am seeing hardware latency of about 66ms. Are you folks seeing about the same numbers? Any tricks to get it lower? I am currently running Gefore Experience 2.2.0. I know that going to a lower version might help a bit.

Nexus 7 2013 WiFi problem ??

Hi Everyone,
Recently I've noticed my N7 2013 has been having some wifi issues. I have a main router and an old router acting as an access point. I can connect to both no problem. They have been rock solid for years. Lately when I watch Twitch, my N7 will buffer regardless if I'm connected to the main wifi, or the wired access point, which is literally 10ft away. This part of the house is completely blanketed, so it's not a signal or interference issue. To confirm, I watched twitch on my phone, without issue, no buffering at all. Speedtest on both my phone and my N7 show 130mb + download, and 10 up, with a ping of like 7. I know twitch has lots of problems, but my phone was not buffering, when my N7 was. I made sure to turn off mobile data on my phone to ensure it was only the wifi in the house being tested. No buffering occurs when watching youtube, which leads me to believe it's a twitch issuse, but then my phone did not buffer at all. My N7 is rooted, running PureNexus 7.1.2-20170725 Unofficial, which has been super fast and reliable. ElementalX kernel 6.17 with mild cpu/gpu overclock.
Should I bust open the case, and check the wifi antenna in the tablet, or try another rom? Thanks very much for any help.

Poor experience with Steam Link on TCL BeyondTV L55P8M

I use Steam Remote Play (Steam Link app on my Android TV) on my Android TV in my living room, connected by Ethernet cable to my router in my room, which is also connected by Ethernet cable to my PC. When making the transmission there are very strong stuttering issues, checking the statistics there are no network problems (or so I think, since being wired, and when doing the tests, it tells me that the connection was successful up to 100mbps), but I see that when those hangs occur, where Capture on 1920x1080 says the fps vary a lot, they drop from 28 and go up to 999, they vary a lot! And this does not happen on my PC, on my PC I see a super fluid, sharp image, without hanging. I have already tried all the possible configurations, maybe the TV have issues? no clean Android system software for install on my androidtv? what i think is that the android software doesn't decode the video correctly, is there any way to fix it?
edit: I already tried other services like AMD Link, Parsec, Rainway, etc, the same thing happens in most of them. Only once in my previous setup with an NVIDIA board did I get a really great experience with Moonlight, but they are just that app. And currentlyi i have AMD RX 570 card so that's impossible.
Hi,
Did you find the solution for this maybe?
I have the very same issue on my 55EP680 and I really think something is wrong with the TV as if I use my phone instead, there is no issue at all.
Can you try to disable energy saving on this app to see if it help? I read quite a few people saying this can impact on performance. Go to Settings -> Apps -> Special app access (scroll down) -> Energy optimization -> turn off energy saving for Steam Link.
I tried doing that but unfortunately did not help at all.
Does it work for anybody with this TV model?
I'm using Moonlight, H.265 decoding time is ~20-30ms same with my Fire Stick 4K. But H.264 give higher decoding time.
My TV model is 55C8 have same RTD2851 chipset.
