'gapps install' looks apparently successful in twrp
but as soon as first boot up you will find out gapps actually not installed

No, i can't try because in recovery linked in OP it didn't appear pin input so the directories are encrypted and i can't install nothing!
After coming back to twrp "classic" i have the message "could not mount /data and unable to find crypt footing"

I try to re-add and remove pin in settings>security but, opposite of "classic" twrp it didn't appear the pin digit message necessary to read phone contents

this question has been answered already only countless occasions, https://t.me/motoe4woods/7178 .
if you doubt, I will say try it yourself because it seems the most devs working on woods have XT1762 and AFAIK, XT1762 files works on other Moto E4 variants too unless/except its Qualcomm.
not my question is because I have used custom ROMs of xt1762 but this ROM and the stock of xt1762 I thought there would be some conflict for stock of the 62 in the 63 only that

@iykeDEOID can you explain me the procedure to install the TWRP recovery. Yesterday I messed up my whole day trying to flash TWRP but I couldn't do so today when I saw your thread it gave me hope and I think I should try again. I managed to flash stock ROM using some flash tool.
Can you advise me which custom ROM is most stable. I try dotOS, but couldn't install gapps (maybe due to the TWRP) and then reboot to recovery and never boot system again.

I've done this and no Go please review your last comment and make sure the instruction is correct...
I wiped System, Cache, Dalvik, and Data and nothing happened it says it fail to install.

You are trying to install this on a Hannah right and using the latest twrp? If so are you getting any errors while flashing and have you checked the md5 of your download?

update this is what i used to get it to load so far. twrp pie version still loading It loaded in 3 to 4 mins
so far i really enjoy this rom thanks for all parties helping me to getting this rom up and running

Yes I did, I flashed NikGapps-core-arm64-11-20201231-signed.zip, even I tried to flash stock firmware and then flash again the rom but nothing...

I have G980F...i did as you said, after a format data and flashed the rom i flashed the gapps and then i rebooted the system, but all is the same, continue staying on logo...this happened even when i tried a week ago to flash lineage os 18.1, while with crdroid 7.2 it didnt happen, all was fine, which cAn be the problem?

Maybe just try it yourself, after taking a full backup, and putting it to a save place?
You always can do a clean flash thereafter, if dirty flash is failing ...

ah okay. actual twrp based recoveries can for sure flash a12 but you have to decrypt your internal data while flashing using a dfe zip. i don't know if it works with every rom but i know pixel-based roms are also working with encrypted data when using los-based recoveries that are mostly shipped with the rom, look out for it on threads first pages. can't tell more since i've no experience with these. hope it helps a bit. cheers

I have installed CrDroid 8. I have used Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt. The system works, it is decrypted. Unfortunately, when I want to enter recovery, TWRP freezes at the logo screen
