Hello, can I add a dual sim tray to the 128GB t-mobile version, flash international rom; then have dual sim working?
I'm shopping for a 7T atm, but wanted to know first. Otherwise I'll just grab the 256GB international variant, but lose a few US bands.
Thanks!

Wha? No Note 8.0 ever go dual sim variants, even in the UK, which are phablets. Being 3 year old hardware, the only custom ROMs worth while now have modem updates but are limited to the carrier info. You would need to provision with a proper simple from the provider you intend on usingl

My answer was simple, don't flash our firmware to your dual sim Chinese Note 8.0. You'll brick it!

Nope never was a dual sim Note 8.0! Go get educated before you post anything more on the Note 8.0 threads. Obviously you don't know any of these tablets.

Then why are you posting on a tablet section asking such questions! Douch bag!
I recently got my Moto Z2 Force bootloader unlocked and rooted. I was messing around with a Quick Settings app and found a dual SIM settings. I was wondering if this phone does come in a dual SIM variant or if it could be made into a dual SIM phone I have the T-Mobile Edition.
The wizard was able to launch. the other settings shortcuts are not working they keep force closing.
You can follow the procedure for the Moto Z to modify build.prop and changing out the modem file for the dual sim variant.
Method 1: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/how-to/guide-to-enable-dualsim-singlesim-t3594529
Method 2: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/how-to/guide-dual-sim-mod-signle-sim-moto-z-t3606528
Test it out and let us know what happens. I don't own this device, but if it works, I might own it soon. Remember to make backups.
I look through those links you gave me. I'd be willing to give it a try but there's no official TWRP currently meaning that there is no definite way back if I mess up. If there is dumped images I can Flash with fastboot to recover if something goes wrong I would be willing to give it a try.
The files for the modem are in the same location as the Moto Z and Z play also I need to figure out how I am going to get the second sim to be secured in the sim tray

The second method doesn't require modifying system files and everything is done via fastboot and adb. As far as securing the second sim, could you post what the sim tray looks like? My last Moto device was the Moto X Pure, which was stolen in the Philippines. If anyone in the Philippines wants to help me recover it, please PM me.
Here is what the tray looks like I'll do some testing tonight when I get home
Usually Motorola ships their phones with the same sim tray as their international dual sim variants, except with the second sim slot covered up.
When I was messaging Motorola's support today they said the us version is single sim only but there is a different sim tray for the dual SIM version that is available outside the us. I still have to call in and verify over the phone and see if it can be ordered
So when I called in they said that there is not a dual-sim capable after it's been registered in a US Network and then they wouldn't answer my question if I could even get a dualsim tray so I guess I can't

In Italy we have carrier TIM which is selling single SIM (unlocked) @ about 685,00 €.
Unbranded are dual SIM in most of EU markets but prices are high and availability is low: in Italy Amazon sell them @ about 990,00 €, while on other EU markets best prices could be 850,00 €, rarely less....
I've got mine from a *very good* German seller on eBay... they still have one available @ about 715,00 € shipped which is a *great* price to date...
Hello guys.
I have xt1789 03 variant. It's a single Sim but I was wondering what if I put another Sim and give it a try.
I did and it detected another Sim as well.
It was working flawlessly but when I heard that some of the other variant roll out pie update and people are using it.
I try to flash the pie ROM and it flashed successfully but the problem I am getting now is that the IMEI I had on the phone shows 0
I tried to revert it back to stock Oreo and noughat but after flashing I got baseband unknown wifi and Sim signals lost. Even Bluetooth was not working.
I am wondering if there is a way That I could revert it back to Oreo or noughat so I will have the old baseband and working wifi and both the Sims.
Please help me out so I could get my Moto z2 force back to original condition.
Right now what I did for getting the wifi back I flashed the modem NON-HLOS.bin
I lost the sim signals.
Bootloader unlocked
Hello flashers.
Question here.
I have a US unlocked version G781U1/DS. Is it possible to convert to G781B/DS? The reason for this is European B version has dual sim support, whereas apparently it is disabled on US models. Otherwise why would Samsung put DS into model name for U1 and snap in a dual sim tray?
I think both devices have same hardware specs.
Will it work?
Thanks.
No, it will not.

Why would you want to do this? The U1 version is a multi-CSC firmware and should work as needed in any country. I have not been able to secure a FW set for the S20 FE5G as of yet, but if it was available, it could be confirmed or denied that the specific CSC you need is contained within. Again, I'm rather curious about the issue you're facing to lead you to want to do this. Technically, you should be able to flash any Snapdragon CSC that is built for the same device. That is speculative as ive not confirmed this, but that is how it has been historically from the S8 onward
I have tried all CSC versions available in CSC menu, none of them enables dual sim. Note CSC available are most for US carriers like TMB and ATT. There is XAA (international apparently) available as well but does not enable dual sim either.
It's my first post, hi everyone!
I was wondering whether it's a hardware thing and it's not possible to achieve dual sim support by modifying the software and replacing the N975U single sim+micro sd tray with the hybrid dual sim+micro sd one or it can be done.
I've got the unlocked T-Mobile N975U version, non-root, full stock.
I'll appreciate your support.

AFAIK the SM-N975U does not support dual sim. Has only a single SIM card slot. Changing just the SIM tray does not change the built in hardware on the mainboard.
I just arrived galaxy s9 sm-g960n from korea. Now I want to use dual sim with it. Is possible to flashing the rom with android 10? How can I do this method. Any idea?

Sorry... Just checked twice. But the sm-g960n is a single SIM model. No hybrid dual sim available. Regardless what firmware you will flash.
