I have unlocked Note 10 plus 5G ATT Phone on Tmobile Carrier. The CSC reads XAA/XAA/ATT.. What would i need to do in order to make it TMB/TMB/ATT ( I know the 3rd CSC [ATT] ) cannot be changed as it designated the model it originated.
I've tried *#272*IMEI# to switch to ATT/TMB.. But when switching from XAA, the *#272* method doesn't work anymore. I have downloaded and flashed 'N976USQU1BTE2/N976UOYN1BTE2/N976USQU1BTE2' and used the USERDATA as well..
Using T-Mobile SIM.
Thank you in advance!
I posted in a different thread exactly how to do this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ote-10-5g-n976u-firmware-files-t4059721/page6
Here's what I did
Make sure ADB will work. Drivers installed, etc.
Buy 3 credits from ebay (you only use one but I think 3 is the minimum. I was confused because I thought I had to change each CSC in tha XAA/XAA/ATT to TMO. Not the case)
Download the SamKEY tool
Install the SamKEY tool
Enabled debugging on your device.
Start the SamKEY tool
Log into SamKEY tool with the credentials you get from the seller
Plug in the phone (make sure debugging is enabled)
Enter TMB or ATT or whatever CSC you're trying to set in the "Change SCS (buyer)" field.
Click change CSC
It will do a few things and reboot twice

Thank you!!! I went to the website (samkey.org) and downloaded the software but my computer reported that they are infected with virus. I had to delete them out. Is there a reliable place to download that tool from ?

I initially did *#272*IMEI# and was able to switch between CSC. When I switched to XAA, I was stuck and could not able to use the *#272*IMEI# anymore.. So I had XAA/XAA/TMB.. I saw many were stuck.
Found a solution that worked for me is as follows. Try at your own risk.
Found about ChangeCSC on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eod66-NVQj8
Download the tool from
https://www.mysterious-dev.com/2020/...l-android.html
and downloaded the ChangeCSC Software tool.. . watched the video couple of times.. The process lets you install custom THEME.. I was getting "Update" "Delete" and "Buy" ..
What did was
install another random theme
then went back to the program and clicked change CSC again
this time when I choose the custom theme pack, I saw the "Try now".. after that I followed the instruction to about phone->legal and clicked on CHANGE Carrier Android 10 and VOILA!!! I got that CSC change page.. I saw XAA was selected and I changed to TMB... after that "Sales& Network Code Change" and clicked ok.. .The phone restarted and saw the T-Mobile logo!!!!
I even tried the *#272*IMEI# and this time it worked and showed me the CSC screen!!!
Hope this helps anyone who is stuck...My phone now says TMB/TMB/ATT!!!
Hmmm. I used it with no issues. Not saying it doesn't have a virus but I ran malware bytes after Uninstalling and it was fine. That us where I got it too.

Hi, do you know if this method works regardless of what the current CSC is? I have a Metro branded 10+ 5G (CSC is TMK) and I'd like to change it to TMB. I'm not familiar with SamKey at all but seems like that's the only option left. I already tried the method posted by VisualPro but it didn't work for me. I saw no options to change CSC in Legal Information even though I was able to click "try out" and the "theme" applied successfully.
It should work regardless.

I have already tried changing from XXV to XME using CSC code changer or Play Store Galaxy S CSC code changer but no luck. Phone already rooted. Any help? (After install and reboot the phone I check again it still shows CSC as XXV)

I try many methods but none works with SGGD. My seller ROM is TPH (Portugal) and I want to change in XEO (Poland) and... I was root this phone, new CWM, SuperSU, CSC Change from PG Store and others f.e. CSC-Changer and Stericson.busybox, Triangle Away, XEO ROM flashed, and after restart and wipe - TPH is still on my phone. Now I just have no idea - maybe it isn't feasible?

CSC changer, does not work for me.
Hi, I have found a way to change CSC code already. Just follow my method, because it works on my Galaxy Grand :good:
1. You must check whether if your ROM support your country's CSC. For example, mine is XME.
2. Then make sure you have prepared the Firmware which contains your country's CSC and your phone is rooted with the CSC which is not your country. For example XXV. (You can check with the CSC Changer).
3. Use any File Explorer with Root access (eg: ES File Explorer) browse through /efs/imei/mps_code.dat. Open it using text editor and edit to your country's CSC and save. Again, go to /system/csc/sales_code.dat change it again.
4. Reset the bin counter to 0 using Triangle Away if necessary. (You can also skip it)
5. Reboot your phone into download mode and flash the stock ROM again.
6. After ODIN has done flashing go in to recovery to check whether your have applied your country's CSC. You will see a text like: "Applied Multi-CSC: XME"
Hope that helps.
try this:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manniakk.cscselector&hl=en
It worked for me. As with any CSC changer it will reset your phone....
It NOT works in my phone When I try change Again, go to /system/csc/sales_code.dat change it again. phone display info: Error occurred when trying to save the file. It will not be saved.
but when check my CSC by CSC Changer it show me XEO not TPH, because I could change CSC code in /efs/imei/mps_code.dat. Why I can't change TPH to XEO in /system/csc/sales_code.dat? Kies still show TPH.

Hey, I unintentionally got the dual-SIM model of the Note 10+ (thought it seems that it's the only one available in my country right now). I know that you should avoid Dual-SIM models at all costs if you want to flash custom ROMs etc. But I'm not really interested in custom ROMs anymore. Just root and TWRP (for flashing stuff and backups).
So I was in the middle of doing all that when I realised I had the dual SIM model. It was mentioned NOWHERE, when I was buying the thing. So now I can't find the firmware for this thing anywhere, so I can't really root it. Is rooting this model currently possible? If not, can I restore a non rooted device backup on the device, after I root it? As root will eventually become possible for this device too? If it isn't already.
CSC is: N975FOXM1ASGO
Thanks in advance guys.
Whaaat? No. Yes Of course. You have the perfect version for root. I have the same dual sim version. Dual sim means root most of the time. You're good!

I have the international N975F, also with dual sim.
I have rooted it and TWRP is working, I used SamFirm to download the firmware.
When I put in my region code (DBT - Germany) it automatically chose the correct version. Mine is N975FXXU1ASHE/N975FOXM1ASHE.
You can try it with SamFirm with your CSC values.

I need the link to download required files for rooting SM-N975F/DS
Hi guys, I came here to give you a feedback on the root for that model (N975FOXM1ASG) because I have the exact same one, I'm French.
What @Brava27 and @JayanWarden is correct, I used SamFirm to download the latest firmware for that model using automatic,
with the model sm-n975f and region XEF.
Then I just followed this process:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10+/how-to/guide-how-to-root-note-10-t3960031
You have to follow it carefully
The only part that doesn't work for me though is "E.Flashing TWRP", but the phone is rooted.
This is now what I have instead of the default values likes yours:

https://ibb.co/ZK5pGpw
Everything works 100%, so you can go ahead and root.
One thing though and it's not mentioned, but in the thread it says that if you don't see the option to unlock your bootloader you'll have to wait and maybe some will never have it...
This is wrong, in fact, you need to do the whole process without a sim card inserted, i know because I tried with and without and the option didn't appear when I had the sim card in the phone.

SM-G986B is Multi CSC device. Since Switzerland and Italy are in the same region both CSC's should be pre-installed on the device.
Try this - Go to "Settings" then "About phone". Write down your IMEI Number. Open dialer and enter *#272*IMEInumber# (In the thread replace IMEInumber with your actual IMEI Number). Press dial, you should see a screen with the list of available CSC codes for your device. Select the CSC that you want and tap the Install option.

The Samkey method would only work if the security patch on your phone hasn't been updated past July 2020. Otherwise you will get an "unsupported BIT" error.

In this case you're stuck (like myself) with whatever csc you currently have unless you root your device. I haven't rooted any of my samsung phones (my primary handsets) since my S3 days as I had no need to. So I'm not familiar with the process for sammy devices.

That's where I gave my answer.
OSW is a multi CSC, like OXM is.
Based on the sim cards in your phone, on first boot after flash, the appropriate csc is selected.
Based on the information provided by OP on Reddit (CSC settings in phone info: NEE/NEE, DBT/XAA), it looks like he has both a Nordic sim and a German sim in the phone. Probably as AUT is not in OSW, DBT is selected.
Strange to me is listing of XAA (=United States) as last CSC. That last CSC would indicate country code of the country the phone was manufactured for by Samsung... but Samsung does not manufacture N975F for USA... Looks like phone was seriously messed with.

So, it was OXM before? " If the CSC of your Samsung device is OXM it means it has Multi-CSC firmware installed on it. OXM is a group of CSCs that contains multiple sub-CSCs inside it. It means that you can easily change the CSC of your Galaxy phone or Galaxy Tab. "

yes, I try to install another version with *#272*IMEI number# bud this code was not working for my phone.
Anyway, I had managed to flash another updated version (UI2.5 and security 12.2020) also OXM.
With this last firmware if I use *#272*IMEI number# still I don't get any multy-csc.

Can you change the IMEI?
No. Moreover, as tampering with IMEIs is illegal, it will not be discussed on this forum.

Forgive me, I was not aware.
Hello Guys,
I have SM-G986U Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G Snapdragon. I had Android 10 and I did not receive any update of Android 11, so I tried flashing it to Android 11 One UI 3.0 my self.
I couldnt correctly figure out what my CSC was, but my phone was of US origin and unbranded unlocked. So i downloaded stock ROM for G986U1 - XAA (CSC) - Android 11 https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G986U1/XAA/G986U1UES1CTL5 ( i read in a thread that G986U can be flashed with G986U1)
First i had problem flashing it with Odin 3.13.1, which did not work. Then i read somewhere i should try patched version. So i tried Odin 3.13 (patched), Odin 3.14, Odin 3.14.1 (patched).
It started flashing with Odin 3.14.1 patched, but after started i stucked on flashing "super.img" and then it softbricked. I tried FRP Hijacker to try recovering, but it said "re-download official super.img".
Then i tried some other firmwares. I tried
1. G986U1 - XAA (CSC) - Android 11
2. G986U1 - XAA (CSC) - Android 10
3. G986U - TMB (CSC) - Android 10 (because I had exactly same AP version and CSC version in my phone when it was working, i checked that with *#1234#. AP VERSION 986USQU1ATAW , CSC VERSION G986UOYN1ATAW)
4. G986U - SPR (CSC) - Android 11 (Because when i went to download mode for the first time, i saw at the left top of my screen something like Carrier_id = SPR. So i have tried this as well)
It stucks here:

I have run out of options now, need help. Please let me know what should i try to fix my phone. The only screen i come to now is "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC Software"
I tried using Smart Switch Emergency Recovery as well, it doesn't show my phone in the list where i should select. It looks like a connection problem with Smart Switch.
I have tried everything i could. I dont know if i am trying the wrong firmwares or something wrong with the Odin. I NEED HELP TO RESTORE MY DEVICE. PLEASE.
EDIT:
I have now explored Samsung has disabled this feature in Smart Switch, i even tried older version which had this feature Smart Switch 4.0 and 4.1, it had device initialization option, where i was able to search the model and enter S/N but then it just closes.
So the hopes are down with Smart Switch.Looks like only way out is Odin, but don't what i am mistaking. Is it the right firmware selection or need some trick with the Odin.
Thank God, it is fixed now. I couldnt understand a lot. I figured my CSC was "OYN" and it is Multi CSC phone unbranded phone. I tried again to flash with G986U - TMB (CSC) - Android 10 (which had AP VERSION 986USQU1ATAW , CSC VERSION G986UOYN1ATAW ). It stuck again on flashing prism.img. So i tried again dropping the CSC file and flashed AP, BL and CP files. Which worked but my phone was still not starting since it was missing the Prism.img.
So i then tried flashing the CSC file with the other firmware version which i previously downloaded for "XAA (CSC)" which is also for unbranded USA. And it worked. The phone started working back now. Though in updates section it now says "Your current software version isnt supported". But the phone works fine so far.
