Hi, I have two red magic controllers, and I use them to play emulators like Dolphin.
In order for Dolphin to run smoothly, I enable Game Mode, and enable full CPU/GPU speed.
The problem is that the controllers are completely broken in Game Mode, as they try to map the controllers to the touch screen, which I don't want. When I disable Game Mode, the controllers work as expected, but performance is insufficient for the games to run smoothly.
Has anybody managed to enable full GPU/CPU clocks with Game Mode disabled? Or disable controller touch screen mapping while in Game Mode (and use Android's native controller support instead)?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi everyone, I recently got a brand new Xperia play running android version 2.3.3 and installed fpse v 0.10.59 on it. I have played Final Fantasy IX and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and they work great, but the problem I'm having is that fpse won't save my settings.
Everytime I open fpse I have to change the input settings to turn off the touch screen control pad and remap all of my hardware keys. I have tried going to the System menu and pressing "Default config save" but that only seems to save my system settings, not the input settings.
Does this emulator really not save the input settings, or is there something I'm doing wrong?
It should save the settings the way you do it. I know I have had problems with this in the past in older versions when it took a few tries for it to stick. But not for a while.
If you load up the emulator, change button config, press the "save default config" button, then load up a game and play a little. Then press menu to "exit" the emulator so it takes you to your homescreen. Next time you start FPse and load up the game, does not the keys you mapped stick at all?
Yeah the buttons didn't stick at all when I made that post, but I fixed my problem in a way.
I uninstalled and downgraded to version 0.10.57, and the buttons save just fine. As far as I know there's not really any functional disadvantages to using this version, so I guess I'll just stick with it for now. I might try another reinstall with the latest version to see if it was the reinstall itself that fixed it, regardless of the version, which I think will probably be the case as they really aren't that different.
Oh well, for now I will be enjoying some Final Fantasy IX
Same Issue Maybe...
I can't get key mappings to stick even for a session, I change the settings, close the menu, notice settings had no effect reopen menu and see defaults again. Same thing with enabling cheats. I don't have access to older version apk only what is available on play store so I can't downgrade as gp did.
Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
Hi,
I am currently running CyanogenMod 7.1.0.2 on my Xperia Play with the latest Doomlord's kernel. (Obviously rooted)
While I am playing with the -oid emulators on my phone, sometimes my thumb accidently slips and touches the touchpads which pauses the game briefly because touching the right hand side of the right touchpad causes the notification drag down menu to briefly appear. I can disable it by running the emulator in full screen mode, but I can't quickly see the clock and battery life this way.
I never have any use for the touchpads.
Or is there an app that allows you to disable the drop-down notifications for certain apps?
Thank you
I'm trying to get a LocoRoco apk running on my HOX. The game seems to run just fine, but I can't actually interact with it because the game was designed for the physical gamepad on the Xperia Play.
I downloaded this app called gamepad that does exactly what I need, emulate a physical gamepad and putting the controls on-screen.
My problem is, the gamepad app is actually a replacement keyboard, but I can't find a way to bring up the gamepad keyboard in-game. It pops up if I click on a textfield just like any other keyboard, but is there a way to get the HOX to either keep the keyboard active or bring it up without clicking in a textfield??
Hi, so I have a fire stick, which I need to relay a single website on constantly for a company, but the thing is, even though firefox is open the stick will go to sleep mode. I sorta need this turned off, I understand there is a way to do this via adb commands, could anyone explain this further? I've tried tasker yet failed to even set up a profile as I couldn't hit the + button with the limited scrolling and functionality that accompanies the remote control with the stick.
any help is appreciated,
thanks!
Hi, I normally keep the s20 plus (exynos, non-root) running in Optimized Power mode. However, every time I want to launch a more power hungry game, I need to remember to go to Settings -> Battery -> etc and switch to High performance.
Is there a way to automatically switch to High Performance mode when launching certain apps?
Thanks!
should (might) be able to do this with game booster plus found in "game plugins" found in the galaxy store. there you can manually adjust performance settings on a per/game basis. no options to set power mode per say but you do have the options to focus on gfx quality, max FPS, brightness and some auto settings. launch games via game launcher or game plugins and your settings should get applied.
Thanks, I atttempted this before with no avail. I may be wrong but my impression so far is that this Game Booster that comes with the phone doesn't really boost anything
